[Q] Can't start camera during a call - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note 3

Howdi all ... upgrade from Note2 to Note2 MTO : N900T
camera worked fine on Note2 with Jedi roms ..
Now unable ot get the camera to open & take photos or videos during a call .. big problem
so I installed JediEliteKK with 4.4.2 ... still won't open
so I installed the Xposed Framework and Wanam Exposed which has an option to enable .. I enabled but the hack didnt work I guess ...
open to any suggestions ... Thx so much in advance.

Did you ever find a fix for this!?! I'm having the exact same issue on my phone and I don't know how to fix it.

yes, got it fixed. Not sure what exactly the problem was ... but I think it's becasue the framework wasn't installed properly .. so I did a complete wipe & re install of the rom.
- Install Wanam exposed with the rom (rom comes with the latest version or ... maybe it autoupdated itself from the Playstore and that created a problem) however the Xposed framework is outdated. - Open Xposed Framework installer and update the framework to the latest experimental version (it can downoad and install itself) .
- Then activate Wanam Xposed module inside the framework.
- After open Wanam Xposed and in the System > Camera section uncheck all ... except the "Enable Camera during call". I found other settings can interfere with camera for some reason.
now everything works during a call: camera, video recording, internet, text etc...
hope that helped.

I did what you said and it didn't work unless I'm following the directions wrong. I went to wanam xposed and went to the install section and clicked install and it rebooted my phone but I don't think anything happened. I also went to wanam xposed and selected the option and rebooted and still nothing happened.
Just curious but if I wanted to unroot and install some updates that are showing up on my phone and then re-root, that would be possible?

Gotta make sure wanam is activated inside the framework. Then make sure the right check box is enabled inside the wanam exposed.

Yep did both of those and still nothing lol

Wipe and try a clean install with the frameeork and wanam exposed, activate the framework and module first, make sure they have root access.... I don't know what else to say. ..

Add Reboot Option in Power Menu

Is it possible for our FLO? thanks guys!
Last year I was looking for something similar for Nexus 7 2012, after attempting to flash the necessary filew, and after alot of trial and error, I ended up bricking my Nexus 7, imo its alot easier to flash a rom, than it is to flash a replacement power menu. Although that was just me
CM is pretty close to stock with extras.

You will need root and a custom recovery but here is the advanced power menu you're looking for.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2383059
Stock is odex unless you're running a de-odexed stock ROM but that's not likely.
I'm running it on JSS15R with no problems. Should be okay.
Remember to always make a backup before you do any modifications!

to be honest, i don't know how to use this. but i'll probably check on it..
Its easier than installing a custom rom, and u get better features.
Steps:
Find the xposed framework thread.Download the xposed installer app.
Open the installer.
Click install framework.
Reboot.
Install gravitybox.apk from the xda thread.
Enable gravity box from within the xposed installer app.
Reboot.
Open gravity box app, make changes.
Reboot.

not switching to art

whenever i try to select art runtime, my phone says it has to reboot to change libs, i select ok, it reboots, and that's it, it doesnt try to optimize apps or do anything else, and stays on dalvik runtime, even after a factory reset! my software number is 2.22.707.4
btw i already did it several time before and it used to work.
i had xposed installed i thought it might be the problem so i uninstalled it, but still, no art
any help pls?
Even tried the manual way via adb and it didn't work.
btw after factory reset i didn't install xposed!
Factory reset won't get rid of Xposed. And I think there is a proper way to uninstall it, but don't know it, cause I've never done it. ?
Yea it's exposed
There is a flashable zip that properly removes it
But I used an ruu

works!!!

It's working for me, too. Only have one module running, it may take a while for some of my favorite ones to get updates.
Yeah! What are some must have modules for the Nexus?

I'm on CleanRom 7.1, ElementalX kernel. Working.
These are all the modules I have installed so far!
Anyone know how to automatically update the framework? Or do you just have to check back every time the OP updates it?
Working great so far!
Working for me and I'm loving it! Stock marshmallow mra58v, elementalx kernel. I don't think it will notify u about updates, just check in every so often. My must have is gravitybox.

Add Gravity Box to what I am running.
I keep getting boot loops when I try. I'm on my 4th factory reset, won't try again for a while. I can live without Gravity Box & Youtube Ad Away for a little longer. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I factory reset > do the initial setup > root > install busy box > (attempt to) install xposed > boot loop. Oh well

I don't understand why ur rooting after every factory reset, that doesn't unroot the device. Beyond that, r u sure ur using the right framework?

I should've specified that I have to flash stock to do the factory reset as clearing the dalvik & cache never worked for me. So I do need to root again afterward. And yes, the one for our device is arm. Not the arm64 or x86. I checked in the official thread from the Xposed sub forum & we aren't the only ones having issues.
I had the same problem and solved it by deleting some system apps to gain space (all the google bloatware). After that and with having enough space it worked fine

It will work if you log in before xposed is installed or if you use the system less xposed (works with Android pay too) and the material xposed installer. Just have to toggle xposed off and restart before you log in to snapchat or use Android lay
thnx i will try to first log in then install xposed
never heard about Oneplus One 3 (opo3) :>
Its a common problem i have it too just unistall the xposed then install snapchat and log in and then flash xposed all going fine.

Holy **** that is a huge error ^^
ahahah it should have been op3 !
Gonna correct it now ^^
here's what I do to make snapchat let you sign in. you need TItanium Backup for a backup and xposed uninstaller to temporarily remove xposed framework. snapchat doesn't want xposed framework.
1: uninstall xposed framework via recovery
2: clear snapchat data then sign in.
3. once signed in, you can back up the app+data using TitaniumBackup ( for future uses. like when xposed is running and if you're moving into a new rom or whatever )
4. you can now flash back xposed installer into your device. = profit

definitely. that's what I do. you can also backup the xposed apk then uninstall it temporarily too but not sure if that's necessary. been doing this since the end of 2015 when snapchat started to hate xposed framework. ?

Control Notification volume seperate from Ringtone Volume

I have tried some apps and some searching and cannot find something that allows controlling the volume separately. Is this possible? I have seen apps that it would seem would let you do this but when you change the one volume the other follows it so you cant turn one up and the other down.
This was my favorite thing about PA and cyanogenmod ROMs. I have been searching for something like this since 7.0 no luck
Never knew how much it would bother me until I got a phone that didnt do it. My Galaxy s7edge had different volumes for each.
I've actually preferred it consolidated the way it is now. I used a Note 2 before I got my Pixel 2 XL because my Nexus 5X died on me and seeing ringtone, notification, media AND system volumes did not bring back good memories. I don't want to micro manage volumes. LOL.
Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
This is one of the features I need in a custom ROM or xposed module, can't wait to be able to adjust notification sounds separate from ringtones! Honestly, i wish there was a way to adjust notifications per app instead of just general, but that's pushing it I know..
I am rooted is there anything that can be installed to separate them now?

No it's a custom framework you put on your stock ROM that installs modules sort of like the ones in magisk. But GravityBox pretty much has everything you can imagine it. Most of stuff that comes with a custom rom normally, is in that gravity box. So you would install the Xposed Framework and then you would install gravity box.

You want the arm64 one. first install the APK 3.1.5 on your phone, and then install the module SDK 27 for Oreo inside magisk , just search it in the downloads in magisk you'll find it. After installing module you'll have to reboot. Then open up the app on your phone. Hit the little cloud and have it installed via TWRP it'll do it by itself. You actually don't have to do anything in twrp once it boots there just boot back to system. Now when you reboot back to system you open up that app it should be green then you go to downloads and search for GravityBox for Oreo. You'll have to change 2 Beta so you can find the right version to download. When you install it check the box next to it and then restart should be good to go
Also breaks safety-net I don't use Android pay but the few apps I do use that need safety-net I set them up before I install Xposed and they still work after I install Xposed
Edit. Also I don't think we used to have to install it inside the APK. When you did it in magisk it took care of it but that's not working for me anymore so I don't know if it's actually still systemless or not. I'm by no means am ia pro at the Xposed.
