My Tab S 8.4 is still unrooted.
I tried going into download mode to just check the KNOX status.
Unfortunately you cant turn it off or pull the battery out!
Doesnt work when pressing Power + Vol UP + Menu or Power + Vol Down + Menu or just holding the Power.
Here's what i did. In Download Mode, Press and hold Power + Vol UP + Vol DOWN
It should restart the device successfuly.
I hope it helps.
On my 10.5, power + Vol Down is enough.
Thanks
Thanks - that had me puzzled for a bit!

Absolutely correct. :good: All that is required is hold VOLUME DOWN + POWER nothing else until it restarts.

All you probably did there was as above as you had the VOLUME DOWN button pressed. The procedure can be used anytime the tab s is on. Its the equivelant of a battery pull.

Thank you, My Samsung 8 Note was stuck in the "downloading" mode. Pressed the Vol + and - and power buttons at the same time for about 4 to 5 seconds and it reset to a screen showing 4 options . use the Vol - to # 4 "power off phone". After it powers down turned it on and it was back to normal.

Hi
I got my Tmo S6 stuck in download mode, is there a key combination to turn off the phone?
Thanks
Hold the Vol Down + Home + Power button until it boots back up into Download mode, then select Vol Down to reboot

Actually it's just volume down and power. Home isn't required.

I tried to flash a ROM and when it tried to reboot it was stuck at the logo screen. Before I flashed the ROM I did a backup with TWRP. Now I can't get into recovery mode but I can get into download mode. What or how can I fix this problem via Odin ?
This is a T800
USA area
Thanks in advance
Your need to boot into Download mode by simultaneously pressing and holding Power + Vol down + Home. After the tab has booted into Download mode, press Vol down for cancelling the download mode. Then you must be quick: before the boot screen appears, you need to press and hold Power + Vol up + Home to boot into recovery mide.
Best, maris

If you search Q&A Help and Troubleshooting this problem has been covered many times.
The problem is purely user error and timing.
From power off simply press POWER + VOL UP + HOME. Hold until recovery boots.
If you are stuck at boot screen then hold POWER + VOL DOWN + POWER. As soon as the screen goes blank change to volume up whilst still holding the other buttons.
Guaranteed to get you into recovery mode.
How do you put the tablet into "download" mode, so you can run Odin, if say the tablet will not boot, or if the bootloader is stock/bad/inaccessible?
Many thanks
Have never had a problem with Power + Volume down + Home. Has always dumped me into download mode.

Is this on a Galaxy Tab S LTE ? Mine simply switches it off when I do that. On my tablet:
menu + vol down + power == switch off or on
menu + vol up + power == go into bootloader

It's switches off because to get into bootloader mode the tablet needs to reset, you then continue to hold all 3 buttons until download mode appears.
MENU + VOL UP + POWER is not the bootloader that is recovery mode.
Anyone who states those procedures do anything other than the above is purely pilot error.

I am sorry, it seems I made a mistake. I switched the tablet off. Then I pressed menu + vol down + power and after a while it got me to a download screen, first time I see this screen and I have flashed the ROMs like a dozen times
