Network mode?

When you go into menu settings more settings under the network tab, the default network mode is lte/cdma. My question is is that the best setting or do some of you think automatic would be better? Thanks.

Depends on if you have lte and use it. It could be left on cdma. That's what I do cause I have no 4g.
Why is there a GSM setting

I think sprint can unlock the GSM radio inside the phone for whenever you go where there is no signal.
I could be wrong though.

Interesting. So gsm is like at&t and phones that use sim cards correct?

GSM is for international roaming. It uses the embedded sim card to access partner networks worldwide.
I like to break stuff!

LTE only option on 4.4.2?

Hello all,
I was just wondering if anyone knows how to set LTE only for the network connection after the 4.4.2 update.
On preivious verisions I could just go to the service menu and set it but that does not seem to work anymore.
And under network selection it only gives me cdma and gsm.
Anyone know how I can lock it into LTE by chance after the update?

I think I found a way.
Will try when I'm in an area with proper coverage to test and report back.

How did you get to it?
The code wasn't working for me.
I got advanced signal status and can use that for device info to change it and it does work for me that way though.

*#2263# which will bring up the service menu, select LTE band preference, and then select option 3 for band 4

[Q] change E980 frequency band.

Hello guys!
I live in Pakistan and here UMTS Band is 900MHz,1800Mhz and 4G band is 1800MHz. As you know e980 does not support these bands. so my question is if i can change my frequency band. like other variants of OGP has those bands and what i think hardware might support those bands as well just not enabled. If i instal e985 or e988 rom on my phone, is it gonna work.
Thanks...
No.

D852 No LTE

For the past two weeks, my D852 has slowly started having problems keeping a LTE signal. 2G and 3G signal works perfectly fine but it just can't get a LTE signal anymore. I've ruled out a SIM card problem and I've TOT back to stock KitKat then upgraded to stock Marshmallow as well but still no luck with getting LTE back. Could it be an EFS problem? The EFS wasn't backed up since day 1.
