Until we have working roms for our Tab S devices there is always Xposed Framework to give us some added functionality. But there are so many and I haven't a clue what most of them do.
What are some of the best tweaks we should go for?
1) As I've mentioned before, I like disabling DVFS using Wanam. This eliminates Samsung CPU throttling.
2) I like adding the date to notification bar.
3) Getting rid of the little up and down wifi arrows cleans things up a bit.
OK, any more suggestions, especially the more esoteric non-obvious performance boosters? With your suggestion please give a brief description of what it does.
Thanks in advance
** Don't forget after installing a module that you still need to enable it in Modules. The downloadable modules can be found in the Versions Tab of the Downloads section. After enabling reboot.
Xprivacy, crappalinks, youtube adaway, PlayPermissionXposed are good start.
Wanam xposed as some stuffs too like enable write permission on sdcard without editing system files or adding advanced reboot.

Thanks! Good stuff there. Will check them out. Can you explain briefly what they do?
Xprivacy : best mod ever for xposed framework, but can be confusing at the beginning. You are able to block or allow each information requested by apps by sending fake data to them instead of blocking access, avoiding crash.
Example : a wallpaper app don't need my google account or access to my contacts data...
Crappalinks : remove tracking redirection links and give real true link.
Youtube adaway : don't need to explain.
PlayPermissionXposed : restore old playstore authorization menu with all acces requested by apps and not simplified bull****...
Wanam Xposed : Samsung dedicated module with lot of options/tweaks.
Appreciate it. I'm all out of thank yous for the day or I'd give you one.

I don't know why but HandleExternalStorage and Wanam wasn't able to set sd card writable.. I had to use sd kitkat fixer from the playstore...

How to install xposed?
I installed wanam xposed and downloaded the xposed installer, yet when I pressed "install framework" -> "install/update" it said
Copying Xposed-Disabler-Recovery.zip...
Could not extract Xposed-Disabler-Recovery.zip
As far as I can tell this is because of knox? Anyone know how to get past this?
Thanks in advance.
Are you rooted, if yes install SuperSU from the playstore ? if no, Install TWRP recovery with odin, flash SuperSU zip available on xda.
SuperSU can disable knox.

I like the "clear all notification" X button in the notification bar. I also find myself swiping "off" multiple recent app pages when viewing the Recent Apps.
Could someone integrate the same "X" Clear All button for the Recent Application Pages?

That's a good idea, i wonder why it's not implemented on stock ICS. I also find myself swiping away apps every 20 minutes or so...very annoying.

i can see someone making some money if he/she can create a widget/quick button for it.
I would be more than happy to buy it

Great idea! I wish I had the chops to make this happen. I know I'm a little retentive when it comes to keeping my recent apps clean and so I swipe after almost every session. If there was something like the 3 vertical dots beside the recent apps button, that would be awesome sauce.
Anyone know if this could be done or have any knowledge/skills on how to do it?

Thanks for the idea. It's worth thinking about. But what about making that a tweak that you can just zip flash on stock if you don't want to flash Cyanogen? I'm just actually curious if that can be taken out of Cyanogen somehow and made to flash in stock 4.3.

Here's the link to GravityBox: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2316070
And heres the link to the Xposed Framework Installer: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1574401
And also SuperSU 1.51: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1538053
On Android 4.3, you'll need SuperSU 1.51 for Xposed to work correctly.
1.) Flash SuperSU 1.51 in recovery
2.) Install the Xposed Installer APK then hit the big button in the middle that says "Xposed has not been tested with Android SDK Version 18 blah blah"
3: Once it's installed, install the Gravity Box apk and enable it from the Modules tab of the Xposed Installer app. Once this is done, reboot.
4: Open the GravityBox app from either the app drawer or Xposed Installer and enable the tweaks you want. If the changes you want aren't seen, reboot.

Is SuperSU v.1.51?
Are you running a custom rom?
Are you set to allow the install of non-playstore apps?
What part specifically did not install?

this is not an easy task to do. I was able to do it on my device Cherry Mobile Omega HD 2.0 / XOLO Q1000. And I made a lot of changes in the smali codes to be able to make it work. I will try to make a guide or tutorial for this if I have a lot of time to compile all the changes I made.
Anybody else who updating to 4.4 noticed that after installing the xposed frameworks the hardware keys do not vibrate and long press of the home button does not work?
Xposed seems to mess a lot of stuff up on TW 4.4 right now unfortunately.
I'm using xposed on 4.4.2 with no issues. I'm only using it for the Greenify experimental features though.
you have a module installed that's broken.
List your modules and maybe we can narrow it down.
I noticed after installing stock/rooted 4.4.2 that my MW Manager module doesn't work anymore. I can still go into it to select the apps to show up in the Multi-Window and reboot. But the apps don't show up. What gives?! Anybody have a solution?
Thanks in advance

Hi! I have been figuring out how to root and setup my Sprint lgls990. I was able to root and get SU installed but now I really want to adjust/tweak the device with the G3 Tweaks App. It states that xposed framework is required also but I am not sure how to install or setup Xposed. Should I just install the Xposed APK then install the Tweaks app? No special instructions for the Sprint G3 or anything I should do first? Thanks for any help/advice!

download the xposed apk install it follow the steps(unknown sources and stuff)
then in xposed install framework and then reboot then in xposed go to modules and check g3tweakbox then go to the app and select what you want then reboot again
Thanks! I am going to give it a try soon as my TI backup is finished! I seen something about not using some tweaks with Sprint ls990 is this correct or just someone's bad luck/mistake? If so which tweaks to avoid? I won't bother you guys anymore after this! For awhile anyway! Lol! Thanks again!

Is there a chance to use the photoTAN App too?
Any news of Xposed for nougat??
I am currently using beanstalk. Found no xposed for nougat. Anyone any news?
Why german based banks do so? Same with the Sparkasse-app update from late November 16. A hint with a warning that xposed is installed would be enough.
Same problem for me with the Sparkasse-App. First had to switch to Sms-Tan because of xposed and now not even the App in general is working..
migrate to nougat (there isn't yet xposed) ... I already complained about this in playstore..
German Sparkasse told me: It is due to the new instant payment functionality of the app that the app aborts if xposed is installed.
Now I use the app "finanzblick online banking" to have a look on my account balance.
Both norisbank and Deutsche Bank apps don't have this yet, I'm lucky. I guess both use the same Phototan app by the same developer.
I believe I had it working before reinstalling my phone.
I was on nougat, using magisk and xposed.
I hid root with magisk-hide.
For Xposed I had two modules running:
No Device Check - (for getting ctsProfile true on SatftyNet)
Sudohide - (for hiding the manager-apps from "Banking")
I can't say for sure, since it is not working anymore after I reinstalled my phone.
But since there is magisk module that is not working (Terminal Debloat), maybe it is my phone. You could try this for yourself.
Another possibility I won't hide ...
I installed xposed a whole time after I used magisk ...
Maybe I still remember using the banking app on a rooted, but not xposed, phone ... :/

Thanks, works again, now I can use my Banking Apps again, like I should.
Magisk-root worked great on Lineage OS after uninstalling SuperSU and XPosed
and hiding Magisk from both Commerzbank Apps via Magisk-hide.
I am using Numbrs now, seems a great app. But Commerzbank is not fully supported, but more than checking balance I don't need and that works great.
Maybe Magisk Hide work for you
Commerzbank Kontostand app works with xposes and root
the Banking app not.
i use browser and sms tan for transactions on commerzbank
FYI Starting with May 2018, Commerzbank will charge a fee for each SMS Tan... So the PhotoTan app unfortunately will be the only way to get free Tans.
I tried to take a screenshot and was disallowed because the running app considered the information displayed to be private. I have the current Global OOS12 on my OnePlus 9 Pro with root. What screenshot tool can bypass this and allow me to take a screenshot anytime, even when a normal user would be prohibited?
Thanks
In magisk activate zygisk. Install the magisk module "zygisk-lsposed" (https://github.com/LSPosed/LSPosed/releases/download/v1.8.3/LSPosed-v1.8.3-6552-zygisk-release.zip).
In lsposed install the module "disable-flag_secure" (https://github.com/VarunS2002/Xpose...ad/2.0.0/Xposed-Disable-FLAG_SECURE_2.0.0.apk).
Take screenshot and enjoy.
There's also a new magisk module, didn't test it yet.

Works a treat! Cheers
I tested the "Disable Flag Secure Magish Module" described above, choosing all the exact options as illustrated in the other thread and rebooted as directed.
I then tryed to take a screenshot in Google Play where I update a credit card, and I still receive the message "Cannot capture screenshot. The page contains personal information." Why did this Magisk module not work on this screen?

Tried that. Makes no difference. What happens if you go into google play to the screen to update a credit card expiration date and then try to take a screenshot? (I am using this as a test of the module so when I hit an app that would block a screenshot I hope never to see the issue.)
This is what worked for me (based on the link below which lead me in the right direction):
How To Bypass A Screenshot Restriction From An Android App?
01. After root, with 'Magisk' & 'LSPosed Manager' already installed, download & install "Disable Flag Secure" apk module.
02. Reboot.
03. Launch LSPosed Manager.
a. tap Modules -> select Disable-FLAG_SECURE -> "Enable module" -> tick off "System Framework"
b. Go down the list until you locate the restrictive Android app and tick off its checkbox so that the 'Disable Flag Secure' can apply towards the app then back out to the "Modules" screen and exit LSPosed Manager.
04. Have fun!
What i always do when apps have screenshot restrictions, like my bank app, i record my homescreen and when playing video i take a screenshot. Don't have root.
