I'm in Titanium Backup, I see these two applications listed:
Call mom 1.00 which is actually pname: "com.htc.rosiewidgets.callmom"
Coin: pname: "com.htc.rosiewidgets.coinflip"
But what are they besides being part of rosiewidgets?
AND, are they necessary? Meaning can they be removed without worrying about it causing problems?
Yeah, just uninstall, they're not system apps.

Thank you for the response, much appreciated, but can anyone actually tell me what these widgets do?

Coin Flip is just that. There's a similar app in the market. Call Mom is a call reminder of some sort.

Thank you again, but how does one invoke/run them? I can't seem to figure that out, can't add them to my homescreen as widgets or anything else. It's just very odd.
I googled them and found nothing except the same posting that rosiewidgets now has 7 new widgets but that only 5 are available.
I'm just really curious as to how to run them, yes, thanks, I'd like to see how they work.

Ok, thank you mr. junior member smarty pants.
I "tried" adding them to my homescreen and they aren't showing up under the list of widgets.
"HOW" did you add them to my homescreen? Why did your response not show up?
lol ok hold your finger down on the screen to add a widget. click add widget. The very very very first line of text says more widgets or something like that and it shows a down arrow. click it and 7 more widgets will show up. coin flip is in there and several other widgets as well, there all crap lol.

Dude, I don't know what you're running, but the whole "more widgets" doesn't show up in Fresh.
Mine says:
Shortcuts
Widgets
LauncherPro Widgets
Folders
Wallpapers
They're not available to you...you're running launcher pro...htc widgets are only available if you're using the sense launcher.
They do show up in fresh, but you have to revert to the stock sense launcher.

I think Call Mom does just that. You set it to specific number and when press the widget it calls that person. I could just be blowin' smoke out my ass though...
(Sorry I've been playing Mafia II all night and I'm starting to channel LOL)
I miss the stock news and weather app on the n7. Anyone know what all I would need to pull from a stock rom or from CM10? Thanks.

Posted this in another thread, but this one works fine on the N7.
That said, the Google service seems to be down, has been down all day for me, on all my devices, which span Froyo, Gingerbread, Honeycomb, ICS, and Jellybean.

Mine started working again this morning, having been down for most of yesterday.
Works good just can't get into the setting to change anything or customize my feeds. I though the galaxy nexus didn't have a physical menu key, I figured it would trigger the on screen menu key automatically.

Works well, but is there any way to make the widget bigger? Looks kinda small on the N7 home screen.

If you use Apex or another 3rd party launcher you can re-size it. Sadly, the JB launcher isn't quite as versatile as the 3rd party ones when it comes to resizing widgets, I believe it relies on the widget itself to tell it what sizes it can be and if that information is lacking in older widgets, she no resize.

Dude thank you for this!
I know I know it's something everyone has been asking...At least I think so....Been searching around the web and thought I would come to you guys as my first post and question! I know there are some apps that can provide notifications in the lockscreen so you don't have to type in your password or pin to see what they recently said, now my question...is there a rootable app, something that can change the current lockscreen on the SGS3 to have these notifications? none of them seemed to work or are really buggy and not supported anymore, I know Iphone has this, infact I think this is the only reason to get an Iphone, just for the notifications in the lockscreen! If there are any legit ones that work and people still know about them please don't hesitate to answer and thanks for reading!

I tried the widget locker thing and it quite badly sucked....wouldn't have any haptic feedback even though it was clicked on, and when I pressed home button after I turned on the screen it would completely bypass my password which is stupid...

Alternatives to Handscent: Go SMS (my personal fav -- can be put into a "lightweight" mode), Pansi SMS (simply awesome, lightweight, love it).

Seen this on android central feed, I like it a lot but my only gripe is the fact that the stock LS collapses it. I would love if it can stay "open" all the time instead of having to swipe down to see missed calls or texts. And the damn settings button always shows as well.

Works very well, i like it.
May be more options will be included in the next upgrades.
i'm using it as well, you should try battery ext from play store.

Good question.

It uses Yahoo Weather, as stated, and apart from adding the extension it should just pick up your location. I didn't have to manually add it. Whether it is done by GPS or Mobile Network location, it just seemed to take for me.

This used to happen to me . Then i disabled the option to use home screen widgets in lock screen from my custom rom menu.
But now there is a new version from this app, that allows your homescreen widget to have full transparent background.
Yes i just updated recently, now how can i resize the overall icons and texts? They're so big... and i have to slide down to see the rest of the notifications.

I wish there was support for Whatsapp too.
Also,
I hate having to manually expand the widget when it's set to default.

There is one. Search for dashclock extensions on the play store.
I love the widget. Its fantastic. The only issue I've had is refresh time. I don't know if its there app or what, but I had a missed call yesterday morning. Even though I cleared the notification and even called them back it never went away from the widget. Hope he fixes it soon

Did you have a solution for this issue ? My LockScreen also take 2/3 from the Screen, so i cant see the full DashClock
Unless you have some sort of Lockscreen control built into the ROM, and enabled maximize lockscreen widgets or however it's worded, then there doesn't seem to be a way to force it to max size. Unless someone has found another method, which I am eagerly looking for.
I'm loving this, but the weather doesnt seem to show for me. Even tried defining a location in the default clock to see if it was connnected.
looks nice...

There used to be an option for add shortcuts, you would then select settings and they had the battery option in there. Samsung has removed this, for whatever reason.

do you use nova? if so you have to use a nova shortcut action . an app like anycut or whatever it was called would work. you gotta go for the shortcut under system and then find the correct battery reporting shortcut. I have it on mine using nova.
