[Q] sd card issue galaxy y

my 2gb sd card was working fine..
i dont know what happened but i copied some apk files on the sd card using pc (usb cable)
but when i unplugged... the files were missing..
i tried several times but still the files are not getting copied
also i of the files i copied was appearing but gave parse error
and it is not being removed.. ie when i delete it and connect to pc..
it appears again..
please help

reformat your sd card to fat32 using your phone or via pc

it seems that your sdcard is corrupt. try to reformat it

SD card removed unexpe.....!! EROR!!!
I hav SGY, and it gives an error "SD card remove"..
plz help me.

That error can be solved if you just update your firmware.(2.3.6.)

my 4gb sd card cant recognize anymore in any devices even in pc..
i dont know why??!!
but when i inserted it in my sgy, a notification shows up:
blank sd card.. has an unsupported files something like that and it suggests to format it..
but after sgy formats my sd card.. nothing change
a notification shows up again and so on..
i dont know wat to do.. i cant use my sd card anymore
i hope someone there could help me

That problem happened to me for about 3 times (it happened to me last week) , My application got corrupted and they do not show in applications drawer. The solution to your problem is before you unplug your phone to computer make sure you unmounted the USB Storage (SD Card) and make sure you finish the media scanning first before unplugging it to your computer , even you already unmounted the USB Storage make sure to finish the media scanning to make sure that the media scanner has already loaded your applications that is stored on your SD Card , How to get rid of this ?? , Go to Settings>Applications>Manage applications but make sure to clear data them first so it won't leave trash in your SD Card after you uninstalled them
I Hope this won't happen to you anymore
Because once this problem happened again then you lose your data ( Game data's etc.)

If u have any nokia device or ur friend any one have nokia device ....try in it and format... Most of nokia device recognize curopt sd card...... Try it

[HELP]SD Card Error

Guys I just connected USB Storage storage on my PC but after i put a video via Kies , After i disconnect USB Storage my applications on SD Card like Panda Run,Instagram,Hambo,Andro Zip,Titanium Backup PRO Disappeared ?!?!?!?! . But i can view the files of my SD Card in "My Files" Application bloatware that comes with my phone . But why all of my applications on SD Card Disappeared , I Tried Formatting My SD Card using my phone but still no luck. Please help me guys , I Tried Downloading Instagram again on Play Store but it give me an error "923" Any Help Guys . Im Using Doky's DXKK4 Stock ROM that he provided for me, I Want to factory Reset if it will resolve the problem but im scared to brick my phone(Because i do not love to mess with this kind of problems) because my phone is still Rooted and I think theres no way for unrooting , I'll try unrooting in recovery mode . But i'll put the update-unroot.zip first because i formatted my SD Card Using My Phone , So help guys , Any help will be appreciated

woah woah.. slow down..
Restarting or remounting the SD card should have done the trick..
So u formatted the sdcard(and lost the apps/backups??) and reset the phone, and unrooted.. so its back to the new state..
Erm.. if u dont have the backups just start over and forget about it..

My SD Card (2Gb) that comes with my phone is already 3 months for me .Is this the time that i will buy new SD Card again ?

Ermm.. that is upto your discretion.. I can't see how this is related to the topic.. but PLEASE note that the SD card it still good, you do not NEED to buy another one.

I think Kies has started the problem or the slowness of my phone , Im not sure what error caused this one , Anyways . Thanks for advice . Since im going to buy Galaxy S WiFi 5.0 thats costs 11,400(Philippine Peso)too much pricey for me but im still going to go with that "Mini Tablet" and some says that it doesn't comes with any SD Card so if i ever got my first "Mini Tablet" then i'll continue to use my 2GB there )

[Q] sd card problem

guys im having problem with my new 8 gb card. i was already using 2 gb and it worked fine,
But when i upgraded it slowed my GALAXY Y and also i cant create any folder from phone Cant even install any downloaded APK's in memory card-it says 'parse error'

You must have bought a bad sdcard. Scan it in an antivirus. I don't think it's got to do anything with the phone

u have buy an bad fake,in germany we have many shops where u can buy cards like this.it shows class6 or class10 from a good manufacturer but its only class2 and
a poor forgery, but it looks original,try to use minitool delete all partions an formatting this card completely new than installing sdtools and test it on your phone to see what speed the card have,maybe its realy slow and you have the problem always,then your card is fake or broken so bring it back to shop.
try these app to test your cardspeed

try IT MAY it WORK foR U
FIRSTLY try to reinsert SD card and check in settings>applications>then check whether if u have ticked allow to install applications from unknown sources:victory:

[Q] Really strange SD Card Problem Need Help!!

My Sd card is working fine.. but some times i cant access it using programs like media players or file explorers cuz they keep crashing ....
the only way i've found to solve this is taking out the card , restarting the phone , clearing data in media storage (system app) or even disabling it , then putting the card and resatart
Its not a permanent solution and i tried everything like formating and the card works perfectly on my pc
PS: this problem occurs in every rom and kernel even stock and am using cm 10 lupus kernel right now
: I cant keep the media storage app disabled cuz without it i cant set ringtones and my phone wont ring ..
in cwm i can access the card without problems

Maybe some bad sectors in sd card. Try to reformat it, with the phone or cwm

i tried all the simple solutions... looks like it has something to do with the android.process.media or a damaged file i need a permanent solution but thanks for ur help

the first and fastest check I would do is to put another SD. if the apps are still crashing, the problem comes from there. if not, the problem is on SD. in some cases, at some point the SD will start having problems... no matter what you do. so it is possible that your card just reached its EOL (end of life)

Change the way the sd card connects to PC to mass storage mode. Then hold shift and right clic in first folder that opens when you click on icon for removable device for sd card. Click on open command prompt windows here. type in chkdsk /f and then type in Y if it succedes and asks for permission. Hit enter and watch reports. If this doesnt work try other sd card, but probabbly problem is in device and not sd card. If you have any problems pm me...

I read this also some external threads i can't post the links here cuz i'm new,
my question is if i swap the memory external >>> internal will this ruin up my device ?
especially the apps like google,whatsapp ?
will it automatically move them to the external or i should do it manually or i should reinstall them after swapping ??

hey Akram,
u have posted question about rooting ur device and the link u've mentioned is neat and clear(i didnt read completely) . i didnt get what swapping has to do with rooting? are u worried abt loosing ur data when the process is being done?
if thats the case, then dont worry , it wont. coz u aren't flashing a ROM and if u are still having doubt about it i suggest u to take backup with PC Companion.
just download the zip file he mentioned and the recovery.img and flash as he did, read the instructions carefully and then do it.:good::good::good: all the best:good::good:

no bro my device has 2 GB internal memory and it too small , and also i have 16GB as external SD card , i want to swap the 2 memories so the system thinks the external is internal and vice versa
as i read i've to unlock the bootloader then root the device , anyway , i've some apps installed on the internal like the essential apps TrackID,Evernote etc ..
so as the external is empty , when i swap the memories the device will automatically move those apps into the ext-mem (internal after swapping) or it will ruin everything and i'll got a corrupted phone cuz the data of the apps are on the other memory ??

thx bro for helping but first i saw the thread 2 days ago and it says that is "This is a temporary workaround" also i'm just asking is this will ruin the apps if i swapped the memories cuz the data of the apps are originally in the internal
i mean this script will just swap the memories or it'll copy the contents of the internal into external
