Full screen display is activated when you change picture size to 6mp. Save as hdr mode is activated when you change the camera mode to hdr (rich tone), and iso is activated when you are in full auto mode.

Click on the mode button which is situated next to the camera shutter button, then you will get a list of modes to choose from, Auto, beauty face, etc etc. You can also download a couple more from Samsung appstore using this menu.
Hope this helps.

Camera Setting

I found in few threads people talking about adjusting the exposure etc. I searched found an article http://www.whatmobile.net/2011/03/sony-ericsson-xperia-arc-review-part-1/
They says in our camera we have
The still image controls are:
Capturing Mode (Normal, Scene Recognition and Smile Detection)
Resolution (8MP for 4:3 and 6MP for 16:9, plus 2MP for 4:3 or 16:9)
Touch Capture (On/Off) for pressing on the screen to take a photo
Scenes (Off, Landscape, Night Portrait, Sports, Document, Portrait, Night Scene, Beach & Snow, Party)
Flash (Auto, Off, Fill Flash, Red-eye Reduction) – no more advanced menu to turn the light on or off!
Self-timer (10 Seconds, 2 Seconds)
Focus Mode (Single autofocus, Macro, Infinity, Multi autofocus, Face Detection, Touch Focus)
Exposure Value (+/- 2)
White Balance (Auto, Incandescent, Fluorescent, Daylight, Cloudy)
Metering (Centre, Spot, Average)
Image Stabiliser (On/Off)
Geotagging (On/Off)
Shutter Sound (1, 2, 3, Off)
But I only have Capturing mode, resolution, touch capture, self timer, flash, geotagging and shutter sound. How to get the rest of the options??
Thanks in advance
By pressing the menu button, or dragging the on screen controls to expand to the full set. Once you have all on screen, you can drag them around so that the 5 most useful to you remain once the controls are minimized.

tried that but didn't work
There is no Exposure Value, Metering, Image Stabilise or Scenes
Go to Capturing Mode and set it to "Norma" and NOT Smile detection or auto
And then u have all the settings..
Hope that works..
how about this? change to your Capturing mode to 'Normal' instead of 'Scene recognition'? the options u mentioned that u got seem to be Scene recognition one..

edit: repeated post, someone answered the question already..
Thanks Mate .. Now I can see it.
How about digital zoom? I can't seem to find it too..

On the latest 4.0.A.2.368 build from July (I think) it also zoom on the 6M and the 8M mode.
Yaeh 4.0.A.2.368 added support for zoom for all resolutions but only in Photo mode..
Not for video mode yet
Old Builds have Shutter Sounds Off?
on .368 it does not have that setting
the zoom is just digital zoom so better avoid using it.

Does on UK Generic.
From my phone to your eyes.
Some countries it is illegal to take photo without Shutter sound and that small orange flash.. Maybe SE localised firmware tries to keep in line with country rules and doesn't allow you to disable.. Just a guess..
Mine shutter sound is also off. I'm on .368 on Generic Global.

[Q] visibility screen

Hi
There is an option on the camera menu to improve the visibility of the screen when taking pictures outside.
1. is there a way to force the setting to on always ?
2. can this option being used for other applications beside camera ?
regards,
Filip
Did you mean that the screen is too dim when you're in sunlight?
Double check that power saving is off as that dims the screen and also that brightness is set to max. Sadly though it will still be a falling of the phone. It's just not quite bright enough.

Click the settings button in Camera and make sure "Outdoor visibility" is switched ON.

I have no idea what the legibility is about(maybe make the text sharper) but I keep it on, the reading mode makes teh appas you add to it have a sephia filter that makes dim the brightness and white of the screen to decrease strain on your eyes when reading.

According to the specs, it's supposed to adjust contrast so that reading text is easier no matter what the brightness level is. Although I find that at lower brightness that doesn't work too well anyway. AND it doesn't work with all apps.

you can actually tap on the reading mode text and it'll bring you to a menu that allows you to select what apps use reading mode. Like the other person said, Reading Mode puts a filter- I guess it makes it yellow-ish and it really does seem to make it easier on the eyes

S Note Brightness

Whenever I use S Note, the brightness always seems to go up and I can't change it, anyone know how to adjust it.?

Same here. Really annoying. For now I'm using an app called screen filter to dim the screen when using s note in the evenings. Sammy should fix this though.

Mine starts with reduced intensity, if I selected reduced intensity as a general setting. Do you use (intensity) auto-settings of any kind in the general / Touchwiz settings? Or reading mode?

That is actually a great suggestion. It does not switch to full brightness when system auto brightness is disabled.

I always disable those 'helpful' features. Just include the brightness control in your status bar, set Adapt display to off, Screen mode to "Movie", switch off Reading mode, all Smart screen features to "off" etc. (unless you prefer otherwise)
I still get a very bright screen that doesn't respond to the brightness slider. Any fix for this or are all users of S Note using it at this brightness?
I use Lux Auto Brightness (there is also a free version), to overwrite Samsung control. It allows different settings for different apps.
Thanks. Will check that out.

I think it works only if you turn off automatic brightness first and then start Snote

Tried the free version, bought the pad version. Works great and solves the problem.
Turn off auto brightness.

I had same issue. First I turned off auto brightness before starting s note. Adjust brightness, then run s note should keep the brightness the same.
It help the situation but not a permanent solution. Hope Samsung can fix it ASAP.

Question on motion photos

What is the difference between the motion photo settings? I set it to auto and it didn't seem to work. I had to set the option to "on" for motion photo to work.
What is motion auto suppose to do?

Funny I have mine on Auto and it always turns on, even when taking a photo something still like a note.

What is your HDR setting? I found that if HDR is applied, motion is disabled
I do have HDR on. I'll check that out. Thanks.
