Well, in Chrome you just enter the menu while on the respective website and tick "Add to home screen".

Hi
I've added 2 subscriptions to the rss reader but I can only get one feed to show in the widget. is there anyway to change this? id love the two showing on the widget

I have not succeeded in doing so and, therefore, now use BlueRSS without a widget.
Yep, I couldn't get more than one to show in the widget at a time either. A very strange oversight I think. I even went through the hassle of exporting my google reader feeds and importing into the news widget.
Anyway, installed netashare (free) which syncs with google reader and is rather tasty indeed (no widget mind).

This isn't good news, no pun intended, because I love rss feeds. Incidentally, when you double/ single tap to open the actual widget, does it show the second subscription at all? There must be a way of showing threaded rss feeds for each subscription, otherwise what is the point. I'll check all the youtube review videos and see if I can find anything. Either way let us now if you figured it out cause I'm getting this phone myself next month.
its simple, press and hold the screen so its highlighted and drag it down to the bottom to delete the widget.
then press the plus key at the bottom right and select widget.
then select "news"
then press the "select" button (making sure you choose widget style 1 of 2)
then select "All stories" which is just below the "Add feeds" button
hope that helps
haha thanks mate I worked that out last night!

Open the News application (not the widget) and long-click on the feed you want to remove and hit delete.

Guys please dont kill me.. im a noob when it comes to android
I updated from a Blackberry 9700 to the G2 today, is there an easier way to arrange the apps in the home screen? do i have to click and drag every single app to the location i want/need? Is there something a la itunes (ipod touch) way to do on the computer?
TIA
-FuRBz-
I'm not a n00b and yet the only way I've seen is to have a "free" slot open to on a screen and swap apps in and out of the free space to arrange everything. Lame.

I'm interested in how else you would like the apps arranged, aside from positioning them yourself?

I second this. If you want an Alphabetical list of all your apps, use the main app menu. The home screens don't need to be very / at all populated if you don't want.

Wow, you guys didn't help the man at all!
When you pull up the app drawer, just long-press an icon and you can drag it to any place you want on the home screen of your choice... If you want to remove apps from your home screen just long press it and drag and drop into the little trash can that pops up!
thanks omarsalmin, what i was referring to was in the itunes desktop application you can arrange the icons via your mouse instead of physically clicking and dragging the app on the actual device- i was wondering if android had something similar

No, because unlike the iphone, android apps on the homescreen are shortcuts put their by the user... and all the alphabetized apps are in the app tray... it's not an infinite number of screens holding app upon app, so there's really no need for a computer interface to arrange your 7 or so screens with a handful of apps.
It seems that part of what he's referring to is the ability in the iPhone to drag icons around and the others automatically shift out of the way. Once Android, it's like a game of slide-picture

Ask and you shall receive.. Screencast... about halfway down on that page.
I can't get Screencast to work, it keeps saying unable to start application..
I've installed Android SDK Manager and the latest Java Runtime Environment as well.
Welcome to Anroid! While you question has been answered I would just like to add there is a tutorial built into the phone. You can access it from:

The one thing i really like about the iOS photo gallery is the 'places' overview.
The part where you get a map which pinpoints all the locations you took a picture at.
I've looked and looked and can't seem to find a setting on my HTC, nor fiend an app anywhere that does this?
Anyone know of a solution?
Thanks in advance !
lurk
Just go in to gallery and tap events (top left corner) and you will see a drop down menu with locations listed, tap that and you will presented with a map with all your photos geo-located.

When I swipe up from the home button on the main screen, the magazine program shows up. I uninstalles the prigram since I dont care for it on my rooted note 3. Now whem I swipe up, I get fromgram not installed and it starts the play store to download the magazine app again. Can I assign another program to this gesture?

You can with another launcher but I don't think you can in stock TW, yet... Seems like it would be a single file to tweak but it might go deeper than that. Being rooted is a good first step once the tweak is available though
You can if your running Tweaked ROM.

My Magazine and the stock email are linked. If you remove/freeze My Magazine I would get email fc if I tried to open email from the notification drawer. I think I saw someone make email apk that removes/breaks this link.
