Odin path enigma in Window 7 64 bit

Guys if you are using Odin to flash Rom or Recovery on Windows 7 64 bit computer then make sure you put the ops and md5 files on the root of C:\
I was trying to flash the CWM recovery but it wasn't successful and when I tried to reboot my phone it was stuck on boot . Then from the instruction of a thread I moved my ops and md5 file to root of C:, and amazingly it worked like a charm.
I thought that I should share it with you guys.

Why do you say that, you mean C:\.....not any other folder??
I flashed my ROM, as shown below, and those files were in other folders:

So, I don't know......maybe something else, you mean another drive, like D:\ or E:\ ??

Errnmmm...I don't think so....maybe it's just a myth.I once doing thing with odin,wherever I place that md5 file or ops.ancora,etc...odin just work fine..

but don't believe it is a general widespread, known issue....
as I shown in the pics, screencap taken from my actual first ODIN FW flash on this phone......
Files were anywhere but in root of C:
Perhaps I am one lucky dude......
Or you are just unlucky......

Thats true, it is some Windows permission issue I think. This doesnt't happen on all PCs, but if it happens it is the easiest solution.
Other programs have also issues with files in some directions/folders.
C:/ is just always mentioned because it is 99% a hard drive, and it has to be in the root of a hard drive(to be sure).

Haha,, you are right. However most of the modern applications that are being written in modern languages dont have such kind of problems. I think Odin is using very old windows API calls for handling files, but i am not sure about it as i dont have source code.

Perhaps, but as ODIN is Samsung tool, I just don't know....
If you look at Service Manual I upped some time ago, in Section 6 Level 1 Repair, you see Samsung use this Multi Downloader for their own service ppl tool........

[Q] Cannot install apk's.

Hi guys.
I have a little problem with my hox for about two days. I cannot install this application: usb bt joystick center. I downloaded it from Google Play and it says i have not enough free space but I have more than 1 gb free internal memory. I found apk file on the Internet but there is the same error. Other apps are installing themeselves correctly. Usb bt joystick center was working fine when i was using ICS. Yesterday i upgraded to jb, this app was crashing at start so i uninstalled it and wanted to try again but unfortunately now I can't. Help please

uninstall it, then unsign your google play account. go into the list of all installed apps and find google playstore and stop it, clear cache. then sign in again and try again !

You could try a factory reset..... Don't know what else

I would rather jump into a Custom ROM like ARHD instead of doing factory reset
I found an article with a solution for my problem http://stackoverflow.com/questions/...oid-install-failed-insufficient-storage-error but when I unrar my apk file and try to edit AndroidManifest.xml I have some chinese chars and squares which I don't understand What editor I should use for these xml files? I tried Notepad (;p) WordPad, Programmer's Notepad and everywhere was the same.

I always open them with notepad++ don't know if that's the one you already tried

I tried this but it didn't work.
By the way, how are you supposed to change install location to "external memory" if there is no external memory? HTC One X as well as One X+ has no external memory, only an internal memory of 32/64 GB ROMs respectively, and a 1 GB root/system RAM memory which contains system apps.

You can move installed apps to the sdcard but only if they are supported !
And it was a problem that encountered a year ago !
And if you can't install apk files i would suggest to do a full wipe and re install the rom. And don't restore any old stuff......

Does this optimize the settings too or it just adds real time mirror?

This one enables high settings of the game, but since the game is not yet optimized may lag just sometimes, but it's ok!

i much more like the mod for unlimited $ and Gold...

if you a Battlefield 4 player maybe you should try a commander mode in your mobile
but sadly Dice made this App for Tablets only so you cant download this app from google play
but if you can get the APK file and DATA then you can play commander mode in your mobile
1- Download APK and DATA
2- install the APK file
3- Unzip the data files and but it in Android/obb
and now you will be able to play Battlefield 4 as acommander
PS : you should purchase this game to be able to play it and you have to be level 10 or greater to be able to play commander mode

use ES File Explorer for that. Best way is to unzip is on the PC itself. If not possible, ES File Explorer is the best.

don't put the obb file you should put the whole folder ( com.ea.game.warsawcommander_row )

Thanks for the awesome work. I've been running this on my Nexus 5 over LTE with no issues what so ever.

Is it possible to use it as battlescreen?
Commander app seems to launch fine, but i don't want to play commander, just use the device as a battlescreen / minimap. Can't find the "battlescreen" button, not in the Commander app and neither in Battlelog.

It is just saying to me "Download failed because you may not have purchased this app" :crying:
I did everything right and my phone is note 3 with 4.3 jellybean. This phone is not rooted.

Works on my Oneplus One. Everythink is OK.

Need help about Build.prop for CM 12.0

Please guyz help me about these problems. I installed CFW Rom CM12.0 on LG G pro E980 Every thing working fine and smoothly but Any Gameloft game not running.
Problems:-
1st is What I edit in this build prop file that run asphalt 8 or any gameloft game run. Because any gameloft game not running in this ROM. Here is screenshot of my build prop file. Please guide me about this Build prop file.

2nd problem is back and menu touch key not working of my Friend LG G pro mobile. So I enable soft key via buildprop to change value so soft Home keys working but When I try to video capturing or Front camera so preview size showing unsuitable . Please help me guyz..

Your device isn't Omega. Its Geefhd or geefhd4g. Change them to Geefhd. Can you post the fully build.prop?

Thanks buddy,. I changed omega to geefhd but problem not solved. Gameloft Asphalt 7 or 8 version not running just showing black screen and back.
Whenever All gameloft game working fine on Stock firmware.

I tried but Problem not solved still Gameloft game not running. When I try to run Asphalt 8 so just gameloft logo showing then back to screen.. When I am running stock ROM so It's working 100% fine.

I wouldn't prefer you to use this Rom. Use Bounty's G4 or no Lollipop.
I'm using PA 4.6 Beta 5 (Kitkat) from Genie's with my own mods for the E980. It works nice and there's only 1 issue: deep sleep doesnt work.
I'll trying to port PA 3.99 (Jellybean 4.3) because Jelly Bean have the best battery life for my Phone. <.<
If you want to test my PA then send me an PM and i will upload it for you

I tried to flash Bounty's G4 ROM few times but I am facing Security Error in Boot time.
If you are using Bounty's G4 ROM so please share with me only Build .prop file of Bounty's G4 ROM. I try for edit with my build.prop file. maybe It can work.

No. To fix secure error:
Flash bounty's G4 via philz. REBOOT NOW ONLY INTO RECOVERY. Then you flash The Zero Misc flash factory file. You'll find it in Bounty's G4 or G3 Rom Threads Attachments. After that reboot and be happy
