hi,
i wondered if there was a modified mms.apk for s4 mini where you can see the sms sent time instead of the receiving time! just like i know it from the older brother i9000, where also the recipients were unlimited etc.
could find something useful via Google.
maybe there is eg a Rom where i could extract the app...
thx in advance!
geri
edit: found the solution, with wanam xposed you can Change it (root and xposed Framework required)
thx closed

There is a voice recorder option in the dialler of Chinese 2.2 rom and I pretty much like it.
However, the option has been replaced to a bluetooth option in the dialler of UK 2.2 rom.
I found there's actually a soundrecorder.apk in system/app, but I have no idea what is this app for since it's neither shown in dialler nor in the app drawer.
Does anyone know if it is possible to use it for a call?
Or how can we make a shortcut on app drawer so that we can actually make this apk work?
Thanks in advance and sorry for my English.
Interested to know this as well...
I guess it should be Dialer.apk or Phone.apk
Deodex voicerecorder. Apk

Packed BlurPhone, BlurDialer and SoundRecorder from Chinese 2.2 ROM here, try at your own risk...

Thanks for your help.
I already have a deodexed UK 2.2.
I will try to replace BlurDialer, BlurPhone, and SoundRecorder in this package to see if it works and report back later.
Well, it doesn't work...
I tried twice but both failed.
For the first time, I simply modified the permission of BlurDialer and replaced the stock one, then reboot.
The phone stuck on M logo.
As for the second time, I changed the permission and replaced BlurDialer, BlurPhone, and SoundRecorder and reboot.
There's no problem to boot into system as usual.
However, the dialler did not work as it did not even appear.
Besides, I got no 3G connection & phone signal.
That's too bad...
I guess it's not possible to simply replace the apks to get conversation recorder fuction.
Thanks anyway, guys.
Hello! This is my first write up. I'm sorry if it's in the wrong place so Moderators please move to the appropriate place.
I've done a lot of searching for group messaging for our phones (T989) and have done a lot of experimenting myself to get this to work right. I wanted to wait to create this write up until I had it working perfectly but since I'm helping a friend with an i727 Skyrocket (att GS2) I thought I'd just make the write up now. For those who have the necessary tools I've included links to decompile the files and mod them yourselves (which I've done) and those without the necessary tools I've included the working files from my stock deodexed UVMC6 ROM.
First of all threaded group messaging works on the T989 (Also working via WiFi-Calling) May even work (group messaging that is) on other Devices running stock 4.1.2.
The bugs that I haven't been able to/had the time to work out yet are as follows:
1. I can't seem to figure out...yet*...how to filter your own phone number out of incoming MMS messages the results of this are any incoming MMS will default to group messages showing you and the other person in the group. Any incoming group messages will show you in the group so any reply you make will come back to yourself unless you add your own number to the spam list.
All these issues come from the same issue, I haven't had the time to figure out where the framework2.jar file is looking to identify your phone number to filter it out of the conversation thread.
Other than that, if you can live with this issue, or want to help me identify what it is and how to fix it I would love the help.
Now for the instructions:
.5. Read all the instructions ALL THE WAY THROUGH BEFORE YOU START
1. MAKE A NANDROID BACKUP NOW also backup your messages
2. If you haven't made a backup I'm not responsible for your stupidity. Actually, even if you did make a backup I'm still not responsible for your stupidity. Only for mine...and the untold number of times I've soft-bricked my phone working on this.
3. Backup your messages
4. Reboot into recovery and install the attached zip
5. Reboot into normal and wait for Android to upgrade
6. Using your favorite root browser go to /data/data/com.android.providers.telephony/databases and delete the following files: (will delete your messages)
smsmms.db
smsmms.db-shm
smsmms.db-wal
7. IF NOT using an odexed ROM then skip to #11. IF you ARE using an odexed ROM:
a. Use your favorite root browser and go to /system/app and delete:
SecMMS.odex
SecTelephonyProvider.odex
b. Go to /system/framework and delete:
framework2.odex
8. Reboot to recovery
9. Clear cache
10. Reboot into normal
11. Enjoy group texting with iPhones and other group texting devices!
All credit and thanks go to the following developers and their threads from which I have learned so much!
jovy23 - for providing the info to edit a decompiled SecMMS.apk to enable group messaging via WiFi-Calling and other mods Info in his thread
regulusv7 - for proving group messaging in TW could be done Info here
loserskater - for the framework2.jar edits and the smsmms.db His thread here
And anyone else who I may have forgotten who helped along the way.
The info in the threads provided from those I learn from should be sufficient if you want to make changes for other ROMS or other devices.
I still want to figure out the threading issue with the sending messages back to myself by not during the holidays. I hope you guys find this information useful!
Thanks for posting this. I've been needing something like this. Will give it a try later.

Didn't work for me. Do u know if someone with an iOS device have to start the thread first? I created a group message and when they replied it was on separate threads.

I doesn't matter who starts the message. I've started group messages, my friends with other Androids, and my friends with iphones - they all work fine aside from the issues I outlined in the OP. Are you running stock or close to stock UVMC6 for the T-Mobile T989? Are you odexed or deodexed? Can't help you without more info....

Nandroid backup. Just restore the one you made prior and you're good.

I know this is only for UVMC6, but will this work on ICS 4.0.4? (That's the only ROM I like.....The Sith)
Cuz I really want MMS over Wifi........so is the framework different for ICS? (For MMS)

Just restore the files you backed up. replace your original SecMms.apk and SecTelephonyProvider.apk to /system/app and your original framework2.jar to /system/framework

I don't know if it will work for 4.0.4...I guess you could make a nandroid and try it! If you don't want the group messaging I guess you can just do the SecMms.apk...thats the file that allows you to send MMS over wifi-calling. At least in my testing when I tried the same file from a Verizon S3 or an ATT Note 2, or even any Mms.apk from AOSP it wouldn't send mms over wifi unless I was using SecMms.apk from a T-Mobile ROM.
Good luck!
Hi everyone,
As the title states, i deleted QSlides Framework by Stupidly thinking it would remove Qslides from Notifications, no backup, so i learn the baddest way possible.
Now due to this, Calculator, NotePad and Videos doesn't work,
I'm asking for anyone's help on retrieving the QSlides Framework APK, i deleted it with Root Uninstaller, it gives the option for backup but i didn't made one , it's not needed to say but im a noob at Android, my first device, and i just rooted it because i wanted to get rid QS on Notifications.
I tried with a friends E980 backup of QSlides Framework, but it's FW is different than mine, im on E98010p and he's on E98010k, for some reason he doesn't have any new version available to update, still tried to install it with RootUninstaller but it doesn't work, i guess its because of the FW version.
i've sent PM to a few members here for their help, they been very kind in helping me and replying but still can't find the APK.
Can someone help me? :fingers-crossed:
Thanks!
What s the name of the apk? I have also the stock rom

the name is com.lge.app.floating.res.apk
I just fixed the issue, and QSlides Framework works again, also NotePad, Video, calculator etc.
Here's how to do it, in case someone ever has this same problem.
once you have the APK, you need to push that APK to System/Framework (not apps like i was trying before), if its a backup, please make sure to name it: com.lge.app.floating.res.apk
give the following permission:
Owner: R/W
Group:R
Other:R
and thats it :laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:
any doubts, hit me via DM
Cheers, everyone.

HI guys ,
I rooted my note 2 to get some tweaks going but instead i ended up losing my default messaging app. What happened was that i tried to install cyanogen-mod messaging app which didn't work so i decided to uninstall it , when i did that it somehow took my default messaging app with it which i do not understand at all. My question is if there is a way i could get it back ? Google didn't help much.

Try my copy. I overwrite all my ROM's stock messaging app with this one, always works for me.

As you probably know, put in system/app with correct permissoins, install by clicking it through your root-enabled file manager.

The part where you said as you probably know is not quite true coz I installed the cyanogen mod messaging app through cyanogen mod install manager which is available at play store. The whole thing was a misunderstanding coz the messaging app doesnt really work on stock roms which I found out after the mess up. If you could write me the step by step to follow that'd be wonderful. Thnx for the reply pal
Regards
Appreciate the help but when i was trying to paste the other messaging apk file into the system/app folder it found the original messaging app there which i never thought to check , i know silly me.
Thnx tweeny and the rest

Thank you. Will this install lots of custom fonts only or disable font check as well ?
I mean I got some fonts that I want to install also.
Has anyone manage to get this working on the NK4 firmware? If not, I'd appreciate anyone that can point me in the direction of what we'd need to do to get this working properly.
Edit - Nevermind. I figured it out myself. I'll add the zip when XDA stop flipping out on the upload.
Here's a Mega Link - https://mega.co.nz/#!gQZ1RB5A!LDIjHgHNPEEjKxgi_Znbx8nYX92xpn3A8ty6IQDcgxQ
These shouldn't be affected from normal base to base changes. The 4.x to 5.x might be different though
I can definitely confirm all 3 mods works on odex nk4 , but try at your own risk because all device behave differently
the fonts aren't working on the latest update of firekat. anyway to manually install the fonts? thanks
