change DPI for just pulldown notifications panel? - G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm looking around in xposed App Settings, what do I change if I just want to adjust the DPI of the pulldown notifications so that more notifications are visible?
thanks

SystemUI so you might as well just reduce the DPI systemwide. 530 seems to be the magic number. If you're using LG Home, make sure that you set it's DPI back to 640 manually or there might be problems with LG widgets.

I used an app called texdroider. Worked well. How do I keep the lock screen on the stock dpi though? I have the quick view case and now the clock looks so small.

Same. I did 540 and it shifted the clock in my quick circle case left. Needed to use all settings to change system ui to 640 for the clock to align correctly.

Its been driving me crazy
I have tried modifiying com.lge.clock as someone suggested in a different thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/help/dpi-quickcircle-case-t2823475#post54441210
Could not figure it out and have asked the person there.
If you can also share what all settings you did to get the clock resized and positioned right again with the modified dpi please?
Regards,
Prasad

Yep that did. Lockscreen, status bar, nav bar is back to stock 640 dpi, but the other apps are at 540

I used xposed and appsettings to change just the systemui to dpi of 640 and the clock aligned correctly.

Hey if anyones curious you can run from 380 dpi on up. There arent any ill effects and it makes the ui real sharp looking.
If you drop to 320 it will FC home but will give ya the aosp lockscreen, i didnt mess with it or drop 320-380 but if you have luck or care to elaborate heres the place!

I tried that tutorial to the word, but it didn't seem to make the icons in the other launchers look any better, so I put it all back to stock.
You guys know what the deal is with multiple DPI related build.prop values on the device whats the purpose, and what is this devices actual DPI?

You have to reboot every time for the changes to take effect, after changing the line ro.sf.lcd.density from 480 to the value you desire you have to reboot if after you reboot if it still looks the same then I don't think build.prop was not mounted as writable. The default density value for the Optimus G pro is 480, I have mine set at 400 and this is how it looks like.

I know that at least with apex launcher, you can set the size of the icons within the settings. Maybe nova or other launchrs are the sameb

changing dpi to effect the notification pulldown

Using exposed and app settings does anybody know what process or application I modify the DPI of in order to affect the size of the notification pull down?
SystemUI. However, it leaves a little bar at the top that apps don't draw on. It's like Samsung hard coded the number of pixels to use. If someone has a fix for that, I'd love it.

I got around it by changing dpi via build.prop. I needed the status bar and notification space. Without root and dpi changes there isn't near enough room for all my note is doing.

I'll have to try that. I've been avoiding it as some of the Samsung apps didn't handle it well on the note 2.

They still don't. You have to use xposed to set those back to 480.

The Note 2 is a 720 screen and the Note 3 is a 1080 so the DPI settings will be very different. I personally have been using 340 and like it. I would use 340 as a base line and go up or down from there to fine tune the size to your liking.
Thanks. That is perfect. Looks a lot better with that dpi, comparable to how I had my n2 in terms of real estate.

Is there a setting that can edited to make the status bar to go to the bottom? I'm missing that from my note 2 with the phablet view.

I have met with this bug too. The solution, which worked for me:
Install again this app --> Activate in the Xposed --> Reboot your phone.
Launch the app --> Go to the settings inside the application --> Disable all possible options.
Go to the phone's settings --> Applications --> Select the app --> Wait until the system calculating.
Stop the app --> Wipe the cache, then the data --> Uninstall the app.
After those steps, reboot your phone, and you will maybe have the default statusbar color.
And there is another bug. The color doesn't change correctly.! It left the last used app color when u open new app.! Any idea how to correct it.

I've been using it for a while, I admit it is awesome, but one thing I've found is it drain too much battery life, so I no longer use it.
I'm using nature rom...3.2
using Tri flat theme...
I installed this...
Went to Xperia Home app setting...
Changed to status bar color to 6600000
(I wanted gradient status bar)
Still I didnt get...
But I got it when I forcibly enabled status bar transperency using gravity box....
What should i do?
I also use nature rom. As a launcher I use Apex launcher.
I am trying to get the statusbar transparent, but it just doesn't work.
Have you got any ideas?
Sent from my bad-ass Xperia S featuring the wonderful Nature ROM, using Tapatalk app.
Haven't got as of yet....
Still have to force enable it using gravity box... Otherwise no gradient stuff...
Works good with me. Thanks.
For me Linus Torvalds is the greatest man on earth
So...are you using Gravity box or something...or only this module..?
I use gravity box to make the status bar and navbar transparent. Then i use this app (tinted status bar) for the gradient. I use systemui from this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2677095
For me Linus Torvalds is the greatest man on earth
Yeah...that's what i did too...
But isnt it possible to make it gradient only using this app and not gravitybox..?
Yeah, you can achieve gradient even without gravityBox. See my ss.
For me Linus Torvalds is the greatest man on earth
Please tell me how to do it...?
I'm using Nature Rom with iOS status bar....

did anyone change there DPI

Thinking about getting the G3 once I get a upgrade but has anyone changed there dpi to something smaller. Do all the apps work? Does anything crash? What dpi setting right now...

560 here. The stock value just seemed oddly proportioned. Ya got 5.5 inches, use em!
But I also use Xposed App Settings to assign dpi on a per-app basis.
540 here.
530 master race
Also using 530 here without any problems.

Xposed / App Settings has no option to put the Smart Notice stuff back at 640dpi?
Nope doesn't fix it.... The LG weather widget fits perfect with 530 .... The smart notice doesn't
After change the resolution to full hd and 530 dpi i can't fix the doc icons, any help please.trying with app settings on xposed
Changing the DPI messes up the QuickCircle case display. Im using ART so xposed is no go to change it.
