I have uploaded a dump for 85110c kdz dump the only things I have done to this package was convert all of the system.bin files into a single system.img file and rename the other bin files to remove unneeded numbers in the file name everything else is as is. I have also uploaded a updater-script that is working for the most part but needs more time put into it. I can upload all of the system bins if requested. If you plan on making a rom DO NOT USE THIS BOOT use the boot.img in the PurpleDrake root tool HERE.

There are app developers that haven't updated their apps to write to sd. I think the "security" update for sd happened in 4.3. One of the major apps that have yet to update is titanium backup.
*edit* you need to add a updater script line in as well I haven't had the chance to add that here yet but ill do that tonight.

Did you get it to work? I could hook you up with LGF400KATV10g + working updater script that wont require you to repackage the img every time you work on it. I might upload it to this development section in a few days (depends if I can iron out some minor bugs) all you will need to do is replace or delete the boot.img and edit the build prop to reflect your phone. Or you could tell me what version you want dumped and ill do it for you.

Really not that much harder than doing it on the iphone.
If you got titanium backup then backup the game then open com.KelliNoda.Battleheart-20110702-203401.tar
you get a folder called data.
then thers some folders inside it.
correct path to the directory where the file is you want to edit is data\data\com.KelliNoda.Battleheart\shared_prefs
thers an XML file in there, edit that one to your liking.
For the gold i edited this line
<int name="1gold" value="xxx" />
where x is the amount of gold you currently have on the what i assume is first save
i changed it to <int name="1gold" value="999" />
and i had 999 gold.
basically just edit it along and see what happens.
Not really sure where this XML file is located on your phone but since titanium is free on market you might as well use it
Some quote for an easier editing
Also if you want to change their level just look for
1partyDB#level. Replace the # with 0-8. Each number corresponding to a party member.
To edit their power and defense, look for
1partyDB#power and 1partyDB#defense. Replace the # with 0-8.
Click to collapse
the # correspond with the heroes that you have. 0 is lucille, 1 is shepherd. and so forth
here's an example:
<key>1partyDB1power</key> <---- the first '1' corresponds to the save file. the second '1' correspond to the character (shepherd)
<integer>75</integer> <---- change this to change his attack power.
take a look at the picture I've attached to get a better understanding.
Please note that this was done with version 1.0.0.
I haven't tried it with the newer version yet.
Edit: I tried it with the newer version and it works still.
Also the best way to look for the hero's value is just to search for their name and then most of the value you would want to change would be just right above their name. [power level is right below their name though]
Click to collapse
To change lucilles level look for
1partyDB0level and change it to
Code:
<int name="1partyDB0level" value="30" />
for shepherd look for 1partyDB1level and chance it to
Code:
<int name="1partyDB1level" value="30" />
so both
here's my xml file http://www.mediafire.com/?27gtc0ch59exxob where i got all possible partymembers at lvl 30 and lucille/shepherd at lvl 40 and and little over 23 million gold.
firstly make sure you got a folder called TitaniumBackup on your SDcard, if its not there then open titanium backup and make a backup of battleheart or if you havnt made a backup of battleheart then make sure you do that before moving on.
Put the above mentioned file into the TitaniumBackup dir.
unmount your SDcard
run titanium and choose to restore data only to battleheart.
then run battleheart and you should find a savegame called goa200
I'm also sure you could simply do
Code:
ADB push com.KelliNoda.Battleheart.xml /data/data/com.KelliNoda.Battleheart/shared_prefs/
but i dont have adb on this laptop so i never tried
just make sure you kill the battleheard process first

two things:
1) don't edit in windows. it inserts carriage return characters not compatible in Android/Linux/Mac's/etc. Download a text editor onto your phone (I used TextWarrior) or do it in Linux
2) make sure edited xml file has same owner, group and permissions as original xml file. Root Explorer can easily change owner/group/permissions.

I couldn't set owner/group even after the file was in /data/data/com.KelliNoda.Battleheart/shared_prefs/. Instead I just checked read/write for "Others" under permissions and that made it show up.

You can do it on a PC
If you take out the file and edit it using notepad, you can overwrite the file within the tar using 7zip without having to decompile and recompile the tar.
Open it up using 7zip, browse to the location of the XML file and click and drag your edited version in to overwrite. You'll get a couple of messages, ok them both and you're done. Now just move the tar file back to your titanium backup folder overwriting the original. Now restore your backup and hey presto.

Using TB restore data on Battleheart yields FC's for me 100% of the time. After a phone crash, I've been working on restoring my chars (not interested in cheating) for 4 days, trying at least 2 dozen potential solutions.
The "Others r/w" hack works for me at the moment and after days of effort, I'm sitting happy getting it to work at all.
If it breaks again I'll give your method a shot. Thanks for the input!
Hey all,
I read some have problems setting up an apn in the settings menu, caused by a so-called funny sim. I did not encounter such a problem with the roms I used from the devs here.
But I want to give a you something that might work for you besides other funny solutions I read. ^^
Here we go:
Firstly do a backup of your device or just the file were are going to change, do it like you prefer. Saver is an full nand-backup.
Secondly grab the Rom you want to flash and replace the apns-conf.xml in /system/etc inside the zip with the one I provide.
Thirdly wipe everything like always and flash the zip, reboot and be happy if apns get loaded for you. ;-)
If it is not, maybe your carrier is not in the file, so check this first.
This may not work:
Second grab the apns-conf.xml attached with this post. Extract the xml file.
Copy the file onto your device and than move it with an root browser to /system/etc. You could also adb push the file to /system/etc, if you know how to.
I think a reboot is necessary.
You could also push the file via adb when you are in the recovery after doing a backup, so you haven't to start up the system move the file and reboot again.
Let me know if it works, other ways to solve this are welcome.
Hope it helps some of you.
Credits to the Cyanogenmod-Team and the others how worked on this file.

First like wrote, I never encounter some issues relating apn.
But I tested Cow v7 Rom.
I take the zip file and replace the apn-conf.xml in the archive with the one I provided. Then I wipe everything and flashed the Zip.
After the boot I look up the apn settings in the menu and a set of entries were loaded for my carrier. So, I would say for me I worked.
Just doing a little other way, than I described in OP. I will write it down there.

Sorry to hear, have you look into the file, if your carrier is listed. Just search inside the file for the name, cause there are so many. If not try to copy a existing apn config in the file and change it to your carriers settings.
By the way if it works, you don't have to set up a apn, cause it will be loaded after the start, maybe just wait a minute or soo. But it could be that CM9 and ICS in general handles apns a different way.
Have you got an good idea for helping the others??
Hey,
I want to encourrage everyone to post, if he or she has an idea to try out.
Am I thought falsely that more than just a handfull had problems with apn settings?!?
And if you had tried out your idea, post it please.
Maybe another solution could be in the frame-res.apk there you found the file apns.xml. But I was not successful in building the apk with apktool after modifying it.
Can some try it, or know a way to build the apk from a folder?

After u recompile it by using apktool, there will be an apk in dist folder. U need to sign the apk before using it.
Alternatively, after recompiling the apk, there will be a folder called "build" and it has a file called resources.arsc, use 7-zip to open the original framework-res.apk and replace the resources.arsc
Then u are done.

That will be great. Did u use the correct command?
for decompile:
Code:
apktool d -f framework-res.apk
for recompile
Code:
apktool b -f framework-res
Yeah I used them, but never mind. Somehow it worked this time, but with some errors, maybe I changed the file in a way it could not be resolved from the compiler or something like this.
I also use now a other program to modify it.
Alternative Method
My solution is slightly different
(note your phone must be rooted)
Install stock rom 2.3.6 for your region and set up phone.
Using root explorer copy csc folder, found in the system folder, to your computer.
Using WinRAR or similar open (do not extract) the rom zip you wish to flash ( note only roms based on 2.3.6 will work), drill down to the system and open it if you find a csc folder there open it and compare with yours, most custom roms don't have this folder.
Add your csc folder using WinRAR and check it has worked Close WinRAR it should have rebuilt the zip.

Well author says it's possible so i hope it really is and someone else comes up with an answer or confirms what you are saying.
you'll need to delete a lot of files. extract my zip file, and make a list of files in these folder. after that, with root explorer go to see these folder:
1. /system/app : delete only 'audioeffectservice.apk'
2. /system/bin : delete all files listed in my zip file
3. /system/etc : delete all files listed in my zip file
4. /system/framework : delete all files listed in my zip file
5. /system/lib : delete all files listed in my zip file except libaudioeffect_jni.so.
don't delete anything else.

I am assuming that you have only a system folder. Now you need another folder called as META-INF from any rom which shares a same base as your rom. If you are working on a rom with .55 base, just check my signature for Xperia SL prerooted zip and download it. Take the Meta inf folder from my rom and make a zip with my meta inf and your system folder. It is better if you go through the updater script first. Then copy this zip to your internal storage. First make a backup in CWM. Then wipe data/factory reset and go to mounts and storage--->format /system. Then flash the zip and reboot.
If you have any difficulties doing this then please feel free to ask it here.

I am assuming that you have only a system folder. Now you need another folder called as META-INF from any rom which shares a same base as your rom. Err...what I mean is that after I flash the rom,I won't have to flash cwm again since it is also installed along with the rom. Is there a way of doing that?thx:laugh:

Yes of course you can do that. You will just need the CWM files which can be added to your system folder. Then you will need to add some more commands in the updater-script. I will give you those files asap okay?
Download the attached zip. Extract it and you will get a folder called "system". Now just merge this folder with your rom's system folder and make the flashable zip. Then you *should* have CWM in your /system partition.

Sorry for the late reply. Had been slightly busy with some school work. Okay so download the attached file and extract it and place the file called "fix_permissions" with your rom's other folder like system, META-INF (not inside any folder but just outside independently). Then open your updater-script and add this:-
Code:
package_extract_file("fix_permissions", "/tmp/fix_permissions");
set_perm(0, 0, 0777, "/tmp/fix_permissions");
run_program("/tmp/fix_permissions");
Now it should work.

At the end of the updater-script, just before you see the first unmount() function.

You should just add this:
<group gid="media_rw" />
to this section:
WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE permission.
However, sometime it doesn't work right, the easiest way is download FolderMount from playstore install it, during the install it prompt if you want to fix, pick yes, reboot and you're done.
I have attach the original xml file if you still want to play with it.

yeah thats what i did (write external storage)and it works perfect... i didnt want to use foldermoint because im oretty sure it causes the android/data folder to be moved to yoir external card for all apps which would definitely slow down write/performance speed

Foldermount won't do that unless you configure it to do so.
