Hi there,
I'm freshly new on that Rom with my nexus 4, and when I go in androids settings, I see nothing linked with customisation.
Maybe there is something to activate?
Thank you in advance for your answer,
Cheers,
You should read the change log thread as this question has been beat into the ground. There is no longer a specific section dedicated to ROM settings. Everything is placed in the categories where appropriate. For other things, you will be prompted with on the spot preferences to decide what you want. Everything is covered in the change log thread

Thx a lot, I'll do a round in this thread

I'd like to edit or create a sliding panel in Ookba's latest EVO ROM release for IE. I have an idea of how to do it (or at least try) but would appreciate it if someone could post the action URL needed for IE and the icon/picture number. With those I think I can get into trouble on my own. I did a semi-serious search but didn't turn up anything that helped me out. Thanks in advance.
You guys are not following the rules!
This is a 3VO Rom question, and it should be posted in the proper thread , not make a new one.
All you guys are doing is making more clutter , more amount of results , when someone does a search. Please keep questions in the proper thread.

In genral the front page has become multiple "questions already answered" & "even non smartphone related outside of appropriate thread"
Yeah i'm b*chin
b.t.w roloracer your service icons look sweet
Okay, delete/move thread since I don't have the ability to do it.
Nailed On Da Cross !!! Lol
The funny thing is that in the time it took you to type up your admonishment I'd be willling to bet at least one of you (if not both) could have provided me with the info I'm looking for. Maybe a "Please keep all related threads together and by the way.." response. Just and idea. Everyone, including you, was a noob once.
Hi guys, thanks for making this so easy and flexiable. Nice to have the functionality of HTC desire on the Touch Pro.
Have a UK GSM Touch Pro with android install. XDAndroid 2.1 (rel 2.5a)
Questions?
Cannot seem to be able to go back, have to keep hitting the power top button which takes it back to the main page.
With windows mobile you could press the left arrow and it would go back to previous menus.
The house pictured button doesnt do anything, reject / cancel call take you to the unlock phone page.
I am on the O2 network, the phone works fine but states I am on BT Cellnet.
Don't get any icons flashin for alerts, IE sms, missed call, emails.
Thanks
Seriously? You felt the need to create a separate thread for this? Did you do any reading in any of the other threads? I don't expect you to read all 1000+ pages word for word, but search is always your friend as well.
I urge you to use those tools, and then if you have a question post it here instead of making another thread. Thanks!

thanks arrrghhh.
I have put in too much time and setup threads for people to go and ask questions / report and whatnot accordingly. Next time please post in the QA section which can be located here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=716004
Like the topic says, how is it done? Is there a way to set it by default in my control panel?
I would like this forum to mirror the functionality I get in other forums, where any post you make will show up in your "subscribed" threads list. As is stands now, I have made a few posts (which had replies) and they never appear in that list. How as I supposed to follow threads that way?
Moved to About XDA section.
Click here, and change the Default Thread Subscription Mode to something other than "Do Not Subscribe".
Thank you so much for that. God, I don't know why I didn't try that a LONG time ago, that will make using this site SOO MUCH easier. No longer do I need to do searches all the time just to see what I posted (because I forget easy)... This may even make me a more productive member of (xda) society
I say, this option should be default behavior, but again maybe it is and not knowing I changed it for some reason.... alas.
It has been a couple months since I've been on the site and quite often I am directed to what I want to find via a google search.
However when trying to access the forums today from the top banner bar, the options seem extremely limited.
It lists things like "Top Phones" "New Phones" "Root Tools" "Top Apps", etc. and each of these has a small sub menu of choices.
However I can't find a way to just access the General discussion forum...the one I'm posting in now.
In order to get here I needed to google "XDA general discussion" and then clumsily navigate to this "About XDA" sub section.
Am I missing something with how this site has been updated and how one is supposed to navigate it?
thanks.

Thanks, that does give me a little bit more control.
However (to anyone listening who cares) - this still has problems. In order to search for a forum to jump to, I must first know its name to search.
In my case, since I've been here a while I know/knew there were general forums, so I typed "general" and I was able to pull some of them up.
But for new users, or anyone unsure of where to post a topic that doesn't have to do with a specific device it still obscures the entire forum structure from them.
Also, unless I was referred to the link above, there is really no way for me to know that typing in that box is how I find a forum, since it says "Type device...& more"....that "more" is pretty broad.
Wouldn't/couldn't it be a good idea to both write somewhere up there that the box is how you are meant to navigate to a specific forum rather than just search? Also couldn't there be a link within the list of results that always shows that allows one to view an entire structured list of the forums?
Part of the issue as I see it is that while many thinks are device based, there are certain issues that have the same solutions across a wide array of devices. For instance I just had an issue with APN settings being grayed out (non editable) on my wife's Galaxy S5, but I saw similar posts and partial solutions scattered throughout device forums for dozens of devices. I know that there will never be full consolidation into one "general" topic for these, but I think having a "general" forum (or forums) as the first landing page for these types of questions is more beneficial than forcing users (simply by the current design) to post in their specific device.
Anyway, I might be late to the party and these discussions may have already beat the horse dead, I still love the site for the wealth of information it provides but IMHO the redesign in this aspect borked functionality/ease of use when it comes to "finding" the right place to go to post a new thread.

I've looked at it, but it doesn't really remediate the issues I mention above.
While it can help you "find" answers to questions, google is just as capable in most cases of directing you to the relevant threads on XDA.
The problem is not really where to go to find answers, as much as it is to ask a question.
It seems the way the site is now structured as far as indexing/lookup is concerned is more of a "knowledgebase" then a forum.
I'm not sure if that is necessarily a bad thing - but it is different from how things used to be and for long time users it makes things a bit more difficult to adapt.
Hey guys, not sure if this is the right way to ask this, but when should we expect this forum to have grouped threads (i.e development and roms in one section, Q&A in another section, etc)? We are starting to build up a pretty good number of custom roms/kernels, and a few of them are getting lost in the pages as other questions and general posts come up.
Thanks Excited to see this community grow so fast so soon.
Hi, for now you can tap the color coded section at the top. IE. Development
I'm not sure of any other changes on the horizon...

I agree with us 100%. We need this so bad. Important questions are getting bumped out of view
@Burt Squirtz Are they important questions or dumb questions or posts about stuff that's been asked before but made a whole new post about? Like how many posts do we need stating that 11.2.7.7 is out? Or questions that simply require a quick Google search that will possibly yield a faster answer rather than waiting for someone to on here to post a response?

There's no way to filter by category in the mobile app (that I can find).

Your probably correct, I don't use the mobile app, but check the mobile app thread for verification...
