Really REALLY Slow Text Entry on Reply to Text Message?

Evening....
Anyone else frustrated with how slow the device responds when you try to reply to a message. Its only the very first few seconds, but I wanna go ahead and type away.
What is the best WM6 rom to deal with this?

yeah pisses me off too. Doesnt do it in palm sms app though. Nice and fast. Only the built in one so it scews me when i try to type emails but not sms.

Whats this Palm SMS app? Is it available on WM6 on XDA-Devs?
On a slightly related note, what do people think is the best, fastest LITE version ROM available? I want as little as possible left, but WM Player is needed - nothing else.

Does anyone have any ideas on stopping this slowdown?

not at the moment... but it is an issue...

Did you try disabling auto completion?

Refreshing the display seems to be a high priority task for this device; when you slide the keyboard you enforce your hermes to redraw your entire screen and your today screen in landscape mode. As this operation is heavy (depending on your today screen thus) and high prioritized, it slows down the other applications.
One solution would be reduce the amounts of items on your today screen.
This behaviour seems to be common; i even get the screen to turn itself off in some rare powerconsuming conditions when I flip the keyboard out.

I get the same slowdown and power problems. Turning off autocompletion helps, but then it doesn't auto complete your contacts which blows. I wish someone could find a fix for this honestly, it is a royal PITA

is it relate to any specific ROM? or any WM6 ROM is affected?

WM6 (or 5) Ringstlye modification? (Shorter Vibrate etc)

Hi there.
I dont think this is specific to my HTC Herm300 but a general Windows Mobile thing, if not please feel free to move this thread to the HTC forum. ;-)
Anyway, I couldnt find a mod or anything for it and apperantly no one else is bothered by this... but I really dont like the choices I have concerning ringstyles.
Theres Vibe than Ring, which produces a much to long vibration followed by the ringtone wiht no further vibration... Or there is Vibrate AND Ring which results in an endless continous Vibration accompanied by the ringtone...
But damn it to hell there is no way to get this thing vibrating every fiew seconds while the mp3 ringtone is playing.
Do I have to live with that or can anyone help me? (or point me in the direction where I can help myself)
And am I really the only one bothered by this?

Well can anyone confirm this is WM6 related, and not only on Hermes?
I am not giving up on finding a way to alter the ring styles... so maybe I can atleast be shure in which direction I have to look.

I have the same 'problem' on my HTC Touch (Elf) with WM6. I hope there is a way to change it.

I also have the vibrating Problem on my Asus P535 WM6.
I hope that there will be any Solution for this.

[Q] Automtically silent mode after 10 pm

Hi,
I hope some of you can help me.
I just got an Xperia Arc S.
Some how, the phone turn it self into silent mode every night at 10 pm. I have no idea about how and why this setting is applied to my pohone.
I do not have any app specifically for this.
Does anybody know how to remove/change this? I have searched every inch and corner of the phone. It is very inconvinient that I do not hear my calls after 10 pm.
I know I can use apps to administrate profiles, but would like to know why and hoe this is happening.
I have installed the new ICS - and every thing seems to work just fine - but the problem was there before I installed this.
Hope some body can help.
N.B. After updating to ICS the option for sound control when the screen is locked, has now be replaced with the camera instead - can this be changed?

[Q] no notification of missed calls (SOLVED)

Hello guys,
I really need your help with this one! I dont get a notification of missed calls, I can see that I missed calls when I go to Phone.
My girl is really angy at me because she called me like 50 times and I didnt noticed anything (sound/vibrate were turned off). I must admid that i had a really great day..
But ok, this isnt an option. I cant find anything under settings. Someone can help me out?

[Q] Issues with XenonHD ROM?

Hopefully this is the right place to post this. I can't reply in the dev thread so..
First, this ROM is amazing. Much better battery life with it over CM10.2.
But I've got a couple of issues with it and was wondering if anyone else is seeing this.
1. If you have an alarm set using the stock clock app, it'll FC after the alarm sounds once.
2. If you miss a call, the missed call notifier will show the missed call icon but not the phone number or contact name.
Anyone else seeing these?
