Stock ROM?

I apologize if this is in the wrong forum. Does anyone know if there is a stock custom ROM being developed for this device? One that may remove all the unnecessary bloatware?

There is.
Look in the "G Pad 8.3 Original Android Development " section.

He means LGs stock software for this device but debloated.
Not yet it seems. Everyone is interested in either AOSP ROMs or getting the GPE to work on the v500s.

Ah, like that.
I would be interested too yes.
(because there are a few functions that I would like to keep:
-knock on/knock off
-Qremote or any other remote app that will work with the IR blaster
-screen on/off with opening/closing magnetic case flap.)

I suppose I could just root the device and then use Titanium backup to uninstall the bloatware. However, stock custom ROMs usually have various tweaks to make the battery last longer and run smoother in general.

They rely on Samsung specific frameworks. It's possible, but it'd be quite an undertaking as it would require a lot of work from what I understand.
You'd be better off finding a substratum theme.

It is built into the chipset, but it has no tuning circuit. Software is nonexistent naturally, hardware is only partially there.
Here's the official response from Lenovo.

Redmi Note 8 pro Netflix can't play HD content.

I just got this phone today and found out that it could not play anything in Netflix in HD. In "test patterns", it only maxes out at 540p with a really low bit rate.
I have done numurous research on different versions of Netflix, but none really worked, not even the modded ones for the Poco phone F1 originally.
The Redmi note 8 pro has widevine L1 and is supposed to play Netflix in HD with no problem, but it couldn't. Anyone has a solution to this problem? And would this problem be solved? I really don't want to wait like how the Poco phone users waited 4 months for that widevine update.
Thanks in advance.

As I haven't Netflix account, I can't test...
Tried Netflix through Kodi, still only got 540 resolution.. even though I checked 4k etc.
Any solutions other than that?
We really need to get more people to know about this problem so the developers could fix this asap, is a serious problem
How did you check the resolution? I want to test mine

Search test patterns in Netflix. Click on the videos and look at the numbers on the top of your screen.

I think it's a chipset related issue, because of Mediatek compatibility.

I don't think so. Mediatek phones are the worst updating/fixing their issues.

Hi thanx for replying. Yes it's a hardware feature and apparently its supported in the 7 series. We can actually do this with acc module and acca app.

Yes it works. Although I need a bit more time to test how much of a difference it makes and how well it works. Probably will update this weekend.
