[Q] How can I get rid off the floating call timer? - G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

How can I disable the floating call timer.

I'd love to know as well.

Anyone figure this out yet?

2 am and you've been in the phone 2 hours. Hope that's not a 900 sex line number cause that would be expensive.

No...Telecom maintenance window conf call. I'm sure someone on this board knows what I'm referring to. Late nights, long calls, and not much to do.
I put the Bluetooth headphones in and surf the web. I don't know if you knew this but while on a call you can play video or music and the sound will play over the call audio. Nice to watch youtube or whatever while just listening in on a long conference call. Having to move this stupid widget off to the side is getting annoying to say the least.

Is there a way to have our phones display where a call is coming from if the person calling is not in your contact list.
here try this out, i do believe itll fit the build
Try Youmail it will also tell you the company/person name if it is not in your contact list
Doesn't Mr. Number do that also? Shows it on the call screen.
What modem are you using? Samsung phones are finicky, and many users are reporting a huge difference in signals simply by switching modems.

Yup Mr.Number does this, a very useful app. It even tells you who the number is registered to.

Maybe I'm dense, but what is "LL"?
I'm guessing LL = landlines
So next month we finally get the technology landlines have been capable of for 20 years

Has anyone had thus happen when answering a call?

Yesterday I received a call from my landlord. I answered the phone and said hi. He said he was a Sprint rep looking for someone named Deborah. I told him my name and looked at my phone to verify who I was talking to again. It showed my landlord. I asked if that was who it was just to make sure. He said no, that he must have a wrong number.
A few minutes later my wife called. It was a guys voice. Not quite as sexy a voice. They said they had a wrong number too.
The weird part is I was expecting a call from both around that time. When I talked to them later they both said they called a few times during that 15 minute stretch.
I got on Sprint.com to chat with a rep. He said he did some basic trouble shooting and reset some things. It works now.

Um thanks? Anyone with any relevant information? Maybe something that is on topic?
I am sorry to say I have not had any mistaken caller ID's. Are you running stock, or a custom ROM?
I had that happen once, resolved itself, no action taken by me.

Bluetooth Volume

I use me phone several hours a day on voice calls. I have used my headset (blue parrot) with a bunch of phones and never had any problems with the volume. In fact the headset is so loud I rarely have to have the volume all the way up. I got the note on Saturday and the volume on my headset while using this phone is very low with the volume all the way up on the phone and headset. This is just for voice calls, I watch YouTube videos and Skype calls are just fine, just the voice calls. I have went through the settings and can't figure it out. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks

I'm seriously considering going back to the gs3 over this. I'm gonna call sprint and see if they can help me out. I'll keep you informed.

Widely recognized problem. Volume is a bit better on the Jelly bomb ROM. Haven't found any other ROMs that help much.

Voice Echo

Everyone that calls me complains of an echo on thier end. If I go to speakerphone the issue is gone. Anyone else?
28 views and not one comment? Lol..guess it's just my phone then. Sucks because no insurance. What would anyone recommend if I'm forced to sell my Note?

Thanks..definitely have been. Nothing seems to help. Doing some google searching seems like this was a pretty common error with the Note and the GS2..but it's hit or miss. There is a fix that requires taking the phone apart that I'm not willing to do. It has something to do with the noise cancellation. I've been turning it off every call now and it seems to help, but not fix the problem. Only sure fix is to use speakerphone or hands free mic. I'm just annoyed. I shouldn't have to work around anything on a 2 month old flagship phone.

you are right...you shouldn't. have you taken it in for repair or contacted Samsung?

I haven't yet..that will probably be my next step. I don't have insurance so Sprint will probably just offer to exchange it for the $35 fee.

S pen not working on edge of screen.

Is this normal? I used a s note and just drew lines to the outside of the screen and you can see where the spen stops responding. The right is worse than the left. Does anyone else get this?

Ok noticed you said replacement #4!! ouch that's bad you had to do it 4 times:banghead:. But anyhow you need to call in and let them know you'll like a new phone!!! Because of the time you have to waste waiting on a replacement!
And that all of the refurbish crappy ones they sent you were no good.. after so many refurbished phones have been sent out. They'll usually send the customer a brand spanking new 1. Ya may want to request it having so many PROBLEMS!!
