Hey all. Stock phone. No root yet. Nothing. Last few days while watching a video, it randomly shuts down. Out of nowhere. Anybody have this issue?

I would try wiping the cache and data in youtube, If that doesn't work factory reset.

Anyone? Please this makes the phone almost unusable!
Give us a little more info;
Are you using a stock ROM? if not what modifications have you made?
Does this only happen when you run the app or does it happen from cold boot?
Is this happening every boot? Have you tried clearing cache or resetting to factory settings?
Unfortunately this is the only option I can think of which should definitely resolve this.
Stock Htc 1.72 no root
I cleared camera cache and have rebooted multiple times
How would I back up all my data, themes ansa apps?

I have been using my note2 quite heavily putting it through the paces. I have the unrooted stock AILH rom running.
For some reason it random reboots and gets quite annoying.
When this happens I am heavilt using the following apps and switching back and forth:
Google maps
Chrome with 20 tabs
Connectbot for ssh
A filemanager with sftp
Gmail
...and a few other apps
Anyone else experiencing this?

Same problem here, unrooted phone.
I did 3 factory reset and nothing. The random reboot is still on.
Sometimes from the gallery and from google play..
I don't know what it is. I havent been able to pinpoint the issue.

I have had the tablet for couple of weeks now without any issues. 4 days back I shutdown my tablet first time during the night and turned it back on next morning. It won't boot, got stuck on nexus logo. Hard rebooted. It happened the same way next day. But not any more since yesterday. I shutdown and restart every morning without any issues. But chrome has been misbehaving since then. I can't use the browser longer than 5 mins or so. It just hangs and throws the not responding dialog. Sent the error report couple of times. Tried clearing cache, reinstalling etc. Did not help. Tried many sites, happens with every single site, so not an issue with a particular web site. Very weird. Can't use the browser at all. Frustrating. Any one else facing such issues? Any help? thanks.

Happens to me too. This is a complete guess, but I think it's software related. Chrome Beta hasn't really given me the same issue, if you wish to stick with Chrome.
I'd like to stay positive and believe that the next update for Chrome will reduce the lag.
I factory reset my device now. Did not help. Totally broken browser. It was perfectly alright first few days. Can't use the browser at all now.

Can someone please confirm. Not sure of its my device, but it's not random freeze. Chrome consistently freezes within few seconds of starting it 100% of the time. It wasn't the case when I got the tablet. I can't use the browser at all literally.

How does it respond to other browsers like Dolphin or Boat?
Has anyone found any problems after the update? I'm all stock, and I've found that my Google maps will stop responding while using nav, and once it's does that the phone has to be restarted before it works again. Also when using nav, if someone calls me, it will stop nav and I have to go back and start again even if I don't answer the phone.
Also YouTube will lock up now and have to be restarted and even have had issues no recording video via camera and issues with playback, all go away after restart.
Any thoughts??

Did you factory reset after the update? I did so even after it wiped everything.

No I didn't. You mean just to default everything or to do a full wipe and restore?

I'm not saying a factory wipe, which is a full wipe of data, will help. It is a recommendation and as good of a place as any to start of you have verified all of your app settings. To do so you can go into settings and factory wipe there or go into recovery mode and do it from there. Just keep in mind this will wipe your internal sd card and installed apps and updates. I doubt putting everything to default would help.

I see they just updated maps again today. Another issue is if someone calls you and you don't answer or ignore, the nav app closes and you have to restart the whole process instead like before where it went right back to nav screen after calls.

I recently factory reset my phone and after the reset the phone starts to overheat especially when I download stuff (e.g. download app from google play). It never happened before. I used to download and upload a lot using google play and dropbox etc and never noticed any overheating problem. But now after several downloads my hand holding the back of the phone is burning. I tried wiping cache in recovery but problem persists. I am on lollipop 5.0.1. Any ideas? It's really driving me crazy.
Do you have a a removable SD card installed? I've heard that can be a cause of that.

Yes. But it didn't cause any problems before?
