Hi Everyone
I tried rooting my Samsung Note 10.1 2014 Edition tonight running 4.4.2 and i ended up with it in a boot loop. I managed to get it out of boot loop and booted normally. (if anyone is stuck in a bootloop let me know and i can tell you how i fixed it). I have tried a few times and it does not work. I cannot post a link as it is so just take out the spaces from this one sorry, "goo. gl/ R2WPVB". i am considering a custom rom but i dont know much about them. If anyone would like to help me out that would be great.
Thanks already

If you have a Snapdragon Note 10.1 2014 and on stock rom then use Towelroot to root the device. It doesn't seem to work on Exynos devices.

Bet on the TWRP
Depends if the devs have/get this device.... The 7A came out first and a lot of people got that. No point getting a 2K screen for the same phone....

QHD Find 7s are just now becoming available to developers in the West (where most of the people that do recovery work are).
I expect Dees_Troy will have at least temporary access to work on TWRP sometime in the next few weeks. Not exactly sure...

I installed CM 11, but when you reboot no bootanimation and when you are on welcome screen you "can choose language" but don't see anything.
The only rom that works at the moment is the KulayOS ROM from trantums

Hey guys I'm kinda new to Android I've had a chappy phone and now an LG g pad after attempting root about a dozen times I finally managed to get it root now I am trying to get TWRP to backup the tablet and change the boot animation later but every time I tried on my pc it would fail so I installed flashify and tried with that I then I got a boot error saying security issues. The tablet stills boots but I believe the problem is the locked boot loader. Thanks for any help offered.

Have you installed root checker or another program to confirm that you do, in fact, have root? Start with that.
If you haven't installed a superuser app to handle permissions, I'd do that as well before trying to install TWRP.
I'll admit I had troubles installing TWRP as well, when looking at the forums, make sure you're downloading the version for your EXACT version of android and firmware, and following the instructions for the right version as well. Good luck!

So recently we received the NK3 update on the AT&T Note 4 and I looked on SRS Root's website and found that that our model the SM-N910A with the exact build number AUCU1BNK3 <-- aka the NK3 update apparently has been tested or else I don't think it would be on this list. I will try this when I get home. If it works I'll let you guys know and provide Screen Shots if it doesn't then ignore the SM-N910A NK3 build on SRS Root's list.

I havent. SRSROOT hasn't been updated in a while and even on their website it says they only support up to 4.2 jellybean. I went on they're twitter and even asked how they rooted and if they had a confirmed rooted note 4. Of course I never got a response.

There's no method yet
There is no method for root for the N910A as of yet. That has been there for awhile and obviously their compiled list is inaccurate.

I recently got my S6 back from Samsung. They untripped knox, and installed a very slim rom without any of the sprint bloatware, and no sprint splash screen. Is there some way I can back up this rom to be able to flash it in odin if/when I need to?
Thanks!

You can back up everything if you flash TWRP recovery and select the backup option it comes in hand but other than that i dont believe you can do it without tripping Knox again
Thanks for the reply, that's unfortunate news. I really don't feel like tripping Knox since I would like samsung pay to continue working.

You can try ADB Backup. A good set of instructions can be found at:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-nexus/general/guide-phone-backup-unlock-root-t1420351
No guarantee that this will work, but it should not trip Knox.
Please post a system dump of this b3fore you do anything. PLEASE

Is it oi1 build ? Ive sent plenty phones back for warranty and samsung never did that before . Trip knox , so what? Samsung warrantys phones like that all the time . Just tell them you took it to the samsung experience shop at "BestBuy" and they tried to flash the operating system to get the phone working properly again. Id tell them it kept rebooting after you updated it through wifi to 5.1.1 . Youll never have an issue with them if you explain it to them that way . Give us a new build lol
