Agreed, that was my only disappointment

I am sure this is just the beginning of a much larger transition to there android l layout so I guess maybe not to much longer before another main update

Was wondering when this would be pushed out, good find!
EDIT
If you try to download the APK from the MegaUpload link in the OP it requires a decryption key. You can get it from the 2nd link, or I also uploaded it to Android File Host for redundancy sake.

By the way, if you're unclear how to install this, I would suggest following these steps:
Backup your current version of the Play Store via Titanium Backup.
Uninstall your current version of the Play Store also via Titanium Backup.
Connect your phone to your computer (make sure you have the USB drivers and AndroidSDK installed), and permit ADB access to your computer from your phone.
Run the following command from a command prompt on your computer.
Code:
adb install Google Play Store_com.android.vending_4.9.13_80290013.apk
Optional Use Titanium Backup (again!) to convert the new Play Store app to a system application.
Enjoy!
Or you can just copy the APK to your sdcard and run the APK directly from your phone, but I tend to prefer using ADB. Either way, I would suggest backing up your current Play Store and its data.

Great job bro

Is this the only way to get it?
Edit-i found another way of gettin it...but I dont think im allowed to post...

Try install apk like normal and it will overwrite current app. Looks a whole better I think.

You must install as regular apk, or rename the package linked on AFH to Phonesky.apk and then push to system priv-app.
Sent from my SM-N900P using Tapatalk

When I installed the app via the APK (and ADB) it installed it as a user app, so I had to use Titanium Backup to convert it to a system app. Just a heads up if anyone sees something similar. Also, before I installed the APK I removed the version I had with TB (after making a backup). This let the new Play Store build its own data and cache, so there would be no issues.
If you don't want to mess with any of this it will eventually be pushed out to your phone. No ETA of when, but eventually.

The 3.2.0 market was giving me «an error has occured» when try to buy an app. With that newest one the paid/download confirmation button stay grey and non-clickable.Same for everyone since 3.2.0?
Does this really work? Because 3.2.0 Market didn´t work on my phone.

Did you give permissions in your root explorer ? Maybe give it "again" or try to enable Root Permissions to all apps automatically ..
what is the different between 3.1.1..this one have limit sufficient data??
thank you very much for the contribution
Sometimes I still got the limit sufficient data error, do you know why, guys?

Barclays Pingit

Hi,
I've been searching around for a few weeks now, looking for a solution to run Pingit on my rooted device. Stumbled across this this evening, and followed the steps to change the root access of my phone.
This still doesn't enable me to even download the app from the Play Store, however.
I'm running Slim ICS 3.5, and I'm wondering if the app is not yet compatible with Android 4.0.4? I've look all over the place for the APK file to give it a go manually, but to no avail.
If anyone could help me out, I'd greatly appreciate it.
I can get it to display in the market, but download does not work. It says not available for your country. I am from India.
It says you need a UK mobile number.

Thank for trying anyway.
I can find it in my previously installed apps list, but it won't let me download it with this ROM, citing that it's incompatible with my device. This goes for apps like Sky Go, too. It's almost as though the Play Store doesn't recognise my phone as an SGS2!
I've tried downloading the .apk file with the APK Downloader extension for Google Chrome, but I get a '403 -forbidden' error. Only on this one app, mind you.
If anyone has the app already and can extract it for me, I might be able to install it manually and hide root to use it?
Flash Siyah kernel and install ExTweaks of the Play store, with ExTweaks you can remove root and Pingit works fine!

Cheers mate! Much appreciated!
Tried renaming it from .zip to .apk, but the install fails. Then re-read your post and realised that it's just the data, not the app itself. I'm an absolute noob, so don't really have any suggestions on how to extract the apk file, but someone else might?
Sorry mate, I know what it was.....
...I was dual booting a Sammy ROM with Siyah!?!
When I look on the Play store I don't have the same message but if I try to install from Slim I get a 942 error?

Swyped from a distant star, the other side of the Galaxy on my Slim ICS powered GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2©
Aah okay. I've not even begun to think about dual-booting.
I did, however, flash the stock Samsung ICS ROM and installed Pingit. Backed it up with CWM so that it would make a backup of the app. Then I restored Slim and Siyah so I was back to where I started.
Tried to restore the app with Titanium Backup. It says that it's been successful, but there's no sign of the app in the drawer or any data at all.
Would have been easier to just back it up with TB then restore, I've never tried extracting from a nandroid? I know it's possible, I just haven't tried.
I've managed to restore Pingit from TB onto Slim ICS 3.6 but haven't tested it because when you uninstall it you loose data and have to phone the Pingit helpline to get your account reset, will test tomorrow.
I can't extract the apk because it's a private app for security reasons, my knowledge of apk's is limited.
Titanium is your only hope or Siyah dual boot!

[Q] Best app to Remove Stock ROM's Apps?

I am looking for an app that will allow me to delete ROM Stock Apps (bloatware) & am a little lost when it comes to chosing the app I need.
I've been doing my research, between reading threads on here & other Android forums and Google searching gleened apps and what they do.
I do not really want to resort to custom ROM if I can achieve full removal of unwanted apps; although I have a cust ROM on standby if I can not modify my Stock- [complete version] HighPerformance_Veloz46_V.1.2.0_Complete.zip (144.5MB), as recommended & vouched for by a fellow XDA member. Member uses this everyday without any issues. BUT ONLY IF I can not modify MY ROM!
IF I have done my research correctly, I DO NOT THINK I NEED Android Assistant, Clean Tool, Link2sd or Apps2sd as I do not really want to go the freeze/ move to SD/ but they are still there route.
I WANT UNWANTED APPS GONE!
So, I THINK I need 1 of the following?; Titanium BackUp (£4.49) (I am on the verge of buying this 1, thought I would check here first) & Root Explorer (£3).
Phone state:
My WfS A510e is- Rom 2.13.401.2 w/ 2.26.401.3 OTAU, still S-ON, BOOTLOADER unlocked, CWM 5.0.2.8 RECOVERY & has SuperSU installed (as I naively thought it would allow me to do what I required).
Am I correct in my assessment of the situation (my choice of "will delete Stock Apps apps") & it will? & am I getting the best 1 for my needs?
Thanks.
Get root and use a file manager. Just delete the apks in the system/app and data/app folders. Use the Rhythm Software file manager.

Thank you artturnip for your feedback.
I have been learning about the .apks & how they must go, in order to remove an app. Thanks for the path's instructions.
May I ask; the screen shot/ your recommendation- is it from File Manager (Explorer) Rhythm Software- February 23, 2014 free download (4 and 1/2 out of 5 stars rating) on \\play.goole.com?
If I have the right one, I will give it a try.
Thanks.

Just a quick written THANKS to member artturnip!
It has take me a couple of days to figure out how to use (I should of examined the screen shots better- tick "Mount System Folders as well as Root Explorer option".
Because of my lack of knowledge I thought that I could not delete Stock via the free version, so I downloaded the "Pro" 1, small charge of £1.99) & also (Free) Root Checker- just to be sure! Also. I'm not sure if this had anything to do with it, but I also allowed SuperSU (Free version) access File Manager.
But I am there now; I have JUST deleted my first test app- Facebook.apk- AND IT HAS GONE. YES I'M in full control of my Wfs!
I am now browsing to find a list of what I can/ not delete.
Just to say a heart-felt, grateful THANKS (& to all XDA members who have helped me out SO MUCH over these last few weeks- XDA is FANTASTIC- top of ANY recommendation list!!!!!!!!!!!!)
Job done. Thank you.
Yep. You would have had to allow Superuser access from File Manager. No problem, I was once a new member to these humble Wildfire S forums and have in my many years as an XDA member learnt much from others.
Its great to know that you've had a great introduction to XDA, welcome onboard.

if you are on the most recent version of the app, it may not install over it, i would either uninstall it or if you are not rooted try to find a lower version and install over that. kind of like a downgrade. it works for me but the playstore wants to update it. just dont let it

After much messing around with my phone, I finally decided to go into system/app and delete the original vvm file, and then go into app manager and turn it off, and uninstall it. I then copied this file over to my sd card, pushed it to sys/app and then rewrote the permissions, rebooted, and FINALLY HAVE THE DARK THEMED VVM!!! Now, whether it stays like that or not, that is to be determined!! But thanks for all the help guys!!:victory:

That it is. I'd like to see something less terrible and more informative.
If I have some time this weekend, I'm going to try it. But first I have to get TWRP and root going,, lol
I'm going to try and contact TBO for some more info on it also.
UPDATE: Heard back from one of the TBO devs already. I asked if it would work on a Pixel running 7.1.1
"Backup, flash it and see. Not sure you'll have any issues but should be fine."
I know, not a whole lot to go by, but at least I heard back, and pretty quickly , heh

Another user chimed in with this:
"TBO's PixelLauncher works just fine with my Pixel on 7.1.1. The zips don't flash to the right location, though, so you may be better off extracting the APK and manually moving it to /system-root/system/priv-app/NexusLauncherPrebuilt with a root file manager. I renamed the existing apk first in case of problems. You will need to set permissions on the new apk.
I recommend having a second launcher installed in case things go south. I'm hearing mixed results with restores from TWRP.
You don't need the wallpaper app."

First I renamed the original one with a .old on the end, as a precaution.
