Hey guys!
I have a rooted T-mobile LG G3. I have installed Gear Manager on the phone so I can use my Gear watch. All works great with the exception on one issue I am hoping someone can help with. Every time my phone is re-booted, I have to re-install the Gear Manager APK. Everything else stays installed. The permissions are correct and the file is in system-apps, any suggestions?

Hello,
I am new to this forum. I tried my best to look for my problem and could not find it.
I rooting my samsung galaxy s III to the mr robinson jellybean 4.1.1
Everything works fine and dandy. But the problem is that my navigation does not work at all. It always says, looking for GPS. But the gps does work because direction maps work fine. I was wondering if anyone knew what to do with this. Thanks!

Mine works fine on my end, but on the other hand I did a clean install. Then restored all apps from Titanium. I would reflash.
What should I do?

Okay sounds good. Should I just reflash the same way? I can do that. Or is there a better root that you recommend? I would like to get a hot spot to work if that is possible as well. I wonder if that is possible. But it is hard to find out what exactly each different root does.
I had the same problem at one point. Try this.
In settings my Google account > location settings, allow Google apps to find my location. Make sure its checked
Hmm Maps still not working

So I tried doing that and it worked but on the road randomly it died out again and said the same thing. Do you think it lost the GPS signal or it just isnt working. Does anyone else have this problem?

Open Play Store. Hit your menu button and select "my apps". This will give you a list of all the apps installed on your phone. It will tell you what apps there are updates for and what apps are already updated.
Works, but noticed something up with my music player

Cool! The maps work fine! Great, thanks a lot. But I did noticed something. When I play music from the music player, every couple of songs it just stops playing, but says its playing. I reset the phone it works again but then the same thing happens. When I close the program it works fine as well but the in a bit the same issue comes. Does anyone know anything about this. Thanks.
Hi,
I've been running jelly bam lately because of the PA features (specifically per app DPI), but I recently purchased a Fitbit Flex and couldn't get it to work. I contacted their support and they just told me they don't support custom roms.. so I tried to restore my stock ATT/Samsung rom which is just version 4.1.1. The Fitbit Flex software installs and actually has the refresh button now but my phone doesn't seem to see my Flex when bluetooth is on. I think I need an update before I will be able to use the stock rom and I'm not sure how to do the updates with TWRP installed, I tried but it keeps rebooting into recovery. Anyway, I'd prefer not using the stock rom, specifically I would prefer a custom rom with PA features. I've just tried PAC-Man 4.3 nightly from last night (pac_t0lte-nightly-20130823.zip), and while my phone's bluetooth does see the device now, the Fitbit app doesn't give me the options like it did with my stock rom. Has anyone gotten the bluetooth and their Fitbit Flex to work with a custom rom with PA features?
Thanks!
If I recall, on a S3 and using a Fitbit One, you won't see the Fitbit except inside the app. There is a "devices" section in the app which lets you check the sync box. If you don't see that then the phone isn't seeing the Fitbit. Stock rom on the S3 works fine. Any custom rom will show you stats pulled from the web but not allow you to sync from the phone. I believe their app is the problem and not necessarily the phone or rom. Anyway, I've learned to live without syncing from the phone since stock firmware just isn't for me.

This is all exactly the same on my Note 2, but even my stock doesn't rom work. Like I said, possibly due to the old version 4.1.1. Under the stock rom the app shows all the additional options like you mention, but my phone's bluetooth never sees the Flex. I wonder what the Fitbit app uses to determine whether to show the additional options or not. I included screenshots to my "about device". I noticed that my model number was different with the new rom and thought maybe that might have something to do with it because clearly it's not (or not just) the android version.
Have you tried a stock 4.1.2 build ??

Can someone link a stock rom for me? I have the GPe of the GS4. i9505G, and I have AT&T. Started out with SGH-i337
Fitbit Sync
I got FitBit to Sync finally with my custom rom.
I used the Build Prop Editor from JRummy. play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jrummy.apps.build.prop.editor
change the ro.product.model=GT-I9505G
and ro.product.manufacturer=samsung
and save those settings, reboot, and now Fitbit will try to sync now. YAY! :victory:

I followed those tips and got it working on my Galaxy S3 AT&T running Carbon ROM...
but now the Dilbert app is telling me that my device is not supported... which is weird because it's just an app to view the daily comic strip.

Just one thing to try, my FitBit wouldn't initially synchronise with any of my devices (all custom ROM)...but I then tried removing the gel cover and plastic rear battery cover of the phone (an S3), held it very close to the FitBit and it then sync'ed fine!
It seems that this new low-power Bluetooth protocol is a little too low on the power element
Note 2 & Fitbit/Bluetooth Problems
I came here looking for answers/help with my bluetooth... but so far I haven't really been able to find anything that's actually helpful. I can share with everything what I've been able to find out, though.
I have a Galaxy Note 2 running stock on Android 4.4.2 and I have the Fitbit Flex. I used to sync without any problems but after my phone updated to 4.4.2 it no longer syncs. After researching for a few days... it seems the problem is with the Update itself... it reduces power or range of Bluetooth... that's why the Flex cannot sync to it. However, I have discovered an quick fix to that:
When syncing, just place your phone on top of your Flex band and it will sync up without any problems. This has become my temporary solution. Someone else suggest another quick fix would be to turn on Mobile Hotspot on your phone... that is suppose to increase the Bluetooth Power.
I also learned that Samsung won't update the Note 2 to 4.4.4, which would have fixed this problem.. but instead will Update the Note 2 to Lollipop... but that date is still unannounced.
If anyone has any ideas on how to really fix this problem... I'm all ears. The only solution I found was to open up the phone and do something to the bluetooth chip inside... but I forgot where I found that solution.
I recently got a used LG Optimus G E973 (Bell version). It's rooted and the bootloader is unlocked. So now I'm wondering if there's a list anywhere of all the stock apps that are safe to remove for this model. There are a few threads about this in the AT&T and Sprint forums, but I can't find any here. Anyone care to help?

Most of the launchable apps are removable and you can find better ones. The one stock app that sucked was the email app. I suggest removing it and installing Nexus 5 stock email app with the exchange app. You will be able to do everything(fully synced) with one app(hotmail exchange, work exchange, gmail sync).
The messasing app is also bad, you can simply replace it with hangouts.

I would add that instead of removing the apps right away, it's probably better to freeze (disable) them and see if that affects anything. If everything is good after freezing, they can be removed for good. And if something is messed up, just defrost the app in question.
Titanium Backup Pro can freeze apps, but you can also use other utilities that are free, like Advanced Tools from Play Store.
Ok, thanks guys. I'm a bit new to all this rooted android stuff. Can I get rid of Google Maps? I'd like to replace it with something else because it's permanently sucking up my battery life. Also, is there a reason why the Software update is constantly running on my phone even though I have "check automatically" unchecked?

Sure, you can. If you ever need it again, you can always install it from Play Store as a user app.

I guess it's just designed to keep the service running in the background, regardless of whether it's actually doing the checks. You can just freeze the "Software Update", or uninstall it (that's what I did). Problem solved.

Awesome, thanks for the help.
Just wondering if anyone is having issues this morning.
Yes, but only issue is in going to settings
Hey. ..I have the AT&T Note 4 paired with the Galaxy Gear 2 and so far, everything seems OK except when I click on settings in the Gear Manager. When I do that, the app force closes.
I am getting the same thing. Force close when clicking on settings.
How odd, you would think Galaxy and Gear should go perfect together... my moto 360 paired right up, but it uses motorola's connect app instead of gear manager
I uninstalled and re-installed the app today. All is working well now.

Anyone having any issues with unlock my phone not working. I get the message that This phone protected by Zenwatch manager but I always have to key in the pin.
I have an LG G3 AT&T unrooted phone.
Its perplexing because everything else works great.

I'm just guessing because I'm running Lollipop on my OnePlus One so I'm using the built in functionality (it's awesome), but make sure the Zenwatch Manager is approved as a device administrator. Settings, security, device administrators. If it already is you might try disabling and re-enabling it.
Having the same problem here. Went back into zenwatch manager (on phone) and there is no longer the option. It's like the feature went missing.
Nexus 5, 5.0.1
I figured that the built-in lollipop trusted devices would work better and have used only it. It seems to work fine with the zenwatch and other BT devices.
Mine stopped working too. We're you able to get it fixed?
