In the app drawer there should be a menu button. Choose "User Customized" under the "View apps by" entry. Then you can manipulate the folders and choose to have them laid out alphabetically or by your own choosing.
yeah that works on homescreen but in the app drawer gmail and hangouts ect seem to always stay in the "Google" folder

Trust me, I just did it. Go into your apps drawer and hit the overflow menu in the upper, right corner (three-dot menu). Once you select "User Customizable" you can drag the apps out of the folder and the folder will disappear.
EDIT:
Forgot to mention that you'll have to hit the overflow menu again and hit "Edit/Uninstall apps" after you enable "User Customizable."

Much thanks was the "edit/uninstall apps" part I wasn't doing, with that works perfect as you say

Hallo,
I have setup a Gmail account. I can send/receive emails.
I would like to have a copy of sent emails saved on the phone.
After sending the email, it disappear from the outgoing mail folder, but a copy is not saved in the sent email folder.
Any clues ?
I'have already checked the "save a copy of messages in sent email" but doesn't work.
Thanks
1. Open to your Gmail inbox
2. Menu > Tools > Manage folders
3. Check "Sent Items" folder

I think you may still be looking at HTC interface for your e-mail, not the WM one that has the menu options you need.
Once you go to the "Mail" tab in touchflo/sense, you have to hit the "Inbox" button first, that will take you to the WM e-mail interface...THEN hit the "Menu" button in the bottom right, then hit the little arrow at the bottom of the list that pops up so you can see the rest of the options, then you'll be able to get to tools>manage folders

did you scroll through the page when you hit the menu button? Tools tab is located @ the bottom of the page & won't show unless you scroll through the page.
That's the solution many thanks

I have many applications and games and this can be kinda messy in the applications menu. Is there anyway to organize them into individual folders or perhaps at least arrange them manually instead of sorting them alphabetically or by date? The menu>edit tabs also seems to not be working as all i see is a blank screen with the top saying press and hold icons to rearrange.
You would need to replace the Sense "Rosie" launcher with a third party one to get that, I think. The app drawer is part of the launcher and the only way to change its behaviour is to replace it.
Folder Organizer might help you. Mine is a paid version, but there is lite version for free.

You can drag one application icon over another and this will change it to folder. The folder can have 4*4, 16 icons. This was you can organise the apps in folders.
That's on the home screen, though. I think he was asking about folders in the app drawer.

I do not believe that this is possible in the app drawer without a specific app though.

Go Launcher EX kan do this.
Make folders in the App drawer.
HTC Sense can only make folders on the homescreen.
All of these options require it to overwrite or disable sense right?

Yup - Sense as in the launcher and widgets. You wouldn't lose the Sense apps like camera or contacts etc.

My Zopper companion app (ZW Utilities) supports enable/disable toggles for Wifi, Data, Bluetooth and Flashlight, if that's what you are looking for. If you just want to open the Settings page for Wifi, you should be able to do that by opening the OnTap action dialog, swipe two times to the right to the "Shortcuts" page, scroll down until you see the "Settings shortcut" option. Tap that and you can select the settings sub page you want to open with a tap on the Zooper module.
Hope this helps you out and happy theming
what i wanted to do is just a simple task, like when i tap on that particular object it opens the WIFI settings, im sorry but i really cant find "Settings shortcut" im using galaxy s5

You COULD use Tasker to get the job done. You can literally hard code it to toggle on/off Wifi. Then, when you're done configuring Tasker, hop over to your Zooper widget and just point it to the Tasker profile you just made. Should allow you to toggle when you click on whatever object you place in Zooper. You can also do the same for data toggles, images, etc.
EDIT: I actually forgot that they integrated this. Configure your rectangle then click Module OnTap, scroll two screens over to the right, click "Settings Shortcut" and then chose Wi-Fi. Then back out to your widget, let it update and then click on the rectangle. It SHOULD take you to your Wi-Fi settings page. Hope this helps. :0)

hi thanks for your research i really do appreciate that however base on my understanding it just creates a toggle where it enable / disable the wifi, what i was trying to do is open a wifi settings.. im not sure if i can do that with tasker.. im really terrible at programming
i will do my own research too, again i appreciate your time
thanks a lot
Oh, I see. Let me continue poking around and see what I can come up with. Unfortunately for you, I don't think it can be done on your phone, seeing as you're missing a vital element to make it work...

yeah its such a shame that a new flagship that is supposed to be more powerful doesnt have this feature.. oh well i hope i can find a work around.
thanks a lot
To use Tasker:
Create a new task;
Enter a name for the task then click the check mark;
From the task edit page click the + at the bottom;
From the select action category list click settings;
Scroll to the bottom of the list then click WIFI settings;
You don't need to make any changes in the action edit page so go back to the task edit page;
Since your going to use the task as a shortcut you need to assign it an icon so click the icon on the bottom right corner (it looks like an app drawer icon);
Select an icon (it doesn't really matter which icon because for your purposes the icon will not display);
Then use the back button to completely back out of Tasker (this will automatically save the task).
From there just setup up your widget to launch a shortcut the task you just created.

Hey there, although your request can be managed by Tasker, I feel like you want a quicker/easier alternative. Coding can wait another day.
Download this app from the play store link then enter the OnTap property of your chosen Zooper widget module > Swipe once to the right > Select Wifi Settings from the apps list.
And you're done. Just tap on the module after a minute to let it refresh and you're set.
The free app is under 18kb so hardly resource intensive and more than makes up for the surprising lack of Settings shortcuts on your S5. (Seriously, my Note 2 has these basic shortcuts as does most stock/custom roms. I wonder why it didn't make it to the S5).
I have been equally frustrated by a similar situation. I want a widget that automatically takes me to the battery status.
I had built one before but was being thwarted by the lack of access to this setting. I thought I was crazy in not finding the settings be available. I dont really need a toggle for the wifi, but is there a suggestion for the battery settings?
i suppose I will play around with Tasker to see if I can figure something out, now that I know I am not crazy.
i may have found a quicker solution via a third party...
- install 'anycut' from the play store (icon ooks like a mushroom house)
- when setting up the 'on tap' part, point to 'any cut' under 'shortcuts' and let your mind be blown by the myriad of shortcuts provided, including the elusive wi-fi settings
enjoy
Hi guys,
I just got my g3 and something really strange happened.
I had the google folder on my homescreen and then deleted it, when i go into my apps i can't see the apps that were in that google folder.
I have to goto the playstore and open gmail from there. Is there any way i can get my icons back from the folder i deleted?
Just before anyone mentions, my apps aren't hidden. They're just gone
Those are just doors to your apps, you deleted the doors.
Just long press on your screen and a dialog will Pop up, go to apps and browse to the one you want, touch it and it should go to your screen.
Yup i know about that also...
I like to have a clean desktop...therefore i use the apps key all the time and access my apps from there.
Is there another way of getting my icons back to where all my other apps are?

Hi,
I'de like to disable the Meal Time Bundle that keeps popping up on my lockscreen.
I've intalled ARHD 53.1, and when I used the Lollipop version 45.(something), I could disable this feature in BlinkFeed in Settings > Notifications on Lockscreen > Untick the Meal Time Bundle option (or something like that).
Now, in Marshmallow I don't have the option called Notifications on Lockscreen. Does anyone know how I can disable the Meal Time Bundle feature?
Its funny that all I miss from sense 6 is the mealtime suggestions, yet everybody else wants them gone. I have never even seen suggestions on my Blinkfeed 7.
If its not much trouble to help me out, please make me a backup of your sense home (apk+data) using either Helium or Titanium Backup. This feature is immensely useful to me during my frequent travels.
To disable mealtime suggestions in sense 7:
1. Swipe right in blinkfeed to reveal the menu, go into the 3-dots menu, and select "Remove contents". Scroll all the way down, and select "Mealtime Recommendations", then tap the "Remove" button. This will remove it from blinkfeed.
2. Swipe right in blinkfeed to reveal the menu, go into the 3-dots menu, and select "Services & Apps". Scroll down to "Mealtime Recommendations" option and make sure its now unchecked - otherwise uncheck it. This will disable the "mealtime recommendations" service.
3. Add the "Sense Home" widget to your home screen. Tap on the top left label (either home, work, or out), tap on the 3-dot menu on the top right corner and select "Personalize Sense Home", then uncheck the "Share my precise location..." option. This will prevent Blinkfeed from using your location for geo-personalized contents in the future.
Voila,
Enjoy
P.S. Here is a Play Store link to Helium Backup (free). It doesn't require Root.

#1 and #2 doesn't work here. Those options are missing for me in Marshmallow. I've already tried #3 at the day of posting, and seems I haven't gotten any more suggestions yet. So that might solve it. I can see it as being a nice feature if you travel in your work, etc.

I don't think I ever got the meal suggestions to stop. Although I don't remember if I tried Option #3 (stop sharing precise location) or not.
My main issue with the feature, is that (at least in my case) it never suggested anything of interest, that was actually anywhere "close" to my location. It either kept suggesting the same one (mediocre) place I already knew about, near my house. Or kept suggesting places that were several miles away. Which in the Boston area, might take 30-40 minutes to get to; so not usually practical or desirable when other options were much closer. Every time it would suggest a place that looked interesting to me; I'd look at the location, and it was somewhere 2 towns away or more.
HTC prescribes a "long route" solution: tap & hold on mealtime suggestions in BlinkFeed then tap remove. Repeat this whenever you see them, and BlinkFeed will understand and eventually stop showing them altogether.
I think HTC should've made this feature much more customizable: deep integration with Yelp / Foursquare apps is the way to go, instead of random nonsense. That way you give users total control over what they want to see. These apps already can be personalized to suggest relevant venues that match the user's specific preferences including taste, environment, social setting, distance from current location, budget, etc...

I agree, it was a cool feature in theory; but never reached its potential. Customization options could have made it a really useful feature.
