I was having this issue too and the culprit was the Hotmail app... It's a bug in the Android system if any app has a language call Mata data (or something like that) it will forget your default settings of your home launcher.
I remove the Hotmail app and haven't had a problem ever since. If it wasn't for Nova launcher telling me which app was causing it, I would have probably returned my perfectly good running device.
If you don't have the Hotmail app installed, I recommend you use nova launcher and let it alert you which app is causing the issue. Uninstall that app reboot your phone and you should be good to go and then remove nova launcher if you so choose to.

Did you try using Nova launcher for a while to see if it tells you which app is causing an issue? i did as the guy above mentioned and it worked out for me it was a weird app i had that was causing it. I deleted it and it never happened again.

I've noticed that sometimes I'll have to restart the phone because the Market app will just hang after I try to download or update an app. Has this happened to anyone else?
This happens to me all the time with the "new" market app on any device.

interesting. i thought using appbrain would fix it but i just get routed to the market download link. now i just use the stock app killer to close out Market then reopen it instead of rebooting.

Has happened to me as well... I just use the task manager and kill it. If it becomes a serious problem for you, just go into the app settings and uninstall updates.

Use the samsung task manager to kill market and re open it. Shortcut is to hold the home button and the access the task manager from there.
I like the new feature of ICS that allows you to disable apps. I used it immediately to remove the VZW bloatware that was pre installed (back up assistant).
But I may of taken it a step too far. I disabled the default calculator app ( just happen to like realcalc better). When I did that it screwed up my calendar. All of my events were MIA. Luckily I caught it before I did anything else and couldn't pinpoint the problem. - undisabled the calculator and every thing went back to normal.
So, like it says in the warning use caution when disabling system apps. And hopefully my little boo boo helps some one else out.
Anyone else disable a app and notice any strange or unexpected results???

I disabled Books, Vz backup, and phone (I'm using another dialer). So far no issues.
I also used autostarts to keep a few other apps from starting automatically all the time.

Clear data. Don't give it any info. And make sure to disable all shortcuts for it. That's what I did.

I'm sure a good dev will figure out a way to get rid of it / replace it with Google now. Otherwise I got rid of the home button shortcut.

Any solution for this yet?
Easier fix for now is to install an alternative launcher like Nova Launcher.

Hello,
Anyone else have noticed that default launcher keeps resetting? I have to set my default launcher like every 30 minutes.
I also noticed that opening google now via long pressing home key resets the launcher. Anyone knows how to fix this? Thanks in advance.

there should be an remember choise option when sellecting laucher select it is that does not work try deleting your launcher reboot and installing it again and if that does not workand you have root acces try freezing the lg launcher with one of the root explorers
it is in >system>priv-app>lghome.apk

I haven't rooted my phone so that's not an option. And I've selected the remember choice option each time, but it still keeps resetting. Probably going to return phone tomorrow and ask for a new one.

I'm having a problem with my quick settings automatically changing after reboots. It's more of an annoyance than anything but I just wish I could get to the root of the problem... Attached pictures show before and after reboot respectively. Any suggestions or similar findings?
Setup: Stock Rooted (updated 10m) new radio, and running ART. RIN Custom kernel. Custom recovery TWRP.
ANSWERED : If you're experiencing any of this behavior regarding your quick toggle icons after reboots, simply use Titanium Backup to wipe data of com.lge.provider.systemui 4.4.2 then reboot.
Thank you to Swizzle82 for the help!
I had the same problem with quick memo. I eventually froze the stupid app to stop it. Never could figure it out.

Ever come up with a solution? Im trying to.find how to clear and reset the toggles settings. Ive restarted system ui and cleared data but didnt do anything.
I'm on zonerom odexed 10m. All my quick tile settings stay the same except quick memo+ injects itself into the first position after every reboot. I have to disable it all the time. Very annoying.

Im on stock rom and this started happening after a factory reset. Has anyone foind out how to fix this other than freezing or deleting qmemo?
It happens to me on the stock rooted m with tweakbox installed. Its probably a bug
---------- Post added at 01:42 AM ---------- Previous post was at 01:42 AM ----------
Or something to do with the m update
I disabled xposed all together and it still persisted. I did another reset, installed all the Lg apps, set up my toggles rebooted and still. Im thinking its a bug with m..
Finally figured it out.. I cleared data using titanium in a few things, but the thing that im sure did it was lg.sui.widget.
I wish that was the answer but after clearing data for lg sui widget and rebooting I'm stuck with the quick widgets rearranging still... Also I'm on CloudyG3 ROM so it can't be an M build specific problem. CloudyG3 is based on the L build.
Ok well that may not be it. Ill try to figure out which item I cleared that fixed it..
---------- Post added at 06:26 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:12 PM ----------
Ok this is what I cleared not sure which one did it (if not ui widget then most likely ui provider. Ive cleared data in only system ui before and no luck) but after a reboot all toggles and qslide should be reset to original factory settings... You can then go back in and re edit.
System.ui.apk(will reset wallpaper fyi)
Lge.defaultaccount 3.0
Lge.account 2.5.6
Lge.provider.systemui 4.4.2
Lge.sui.widget 5.0.13
