I have the e-980 running stock 4.4.2.
LG did not include the option of switching to ART in developer options for this ROM but has anybody tried this?
I checked and we do have the libart.so library in our system/lib folder

I'm not sure mate, I have not tried it yet.
But given that we have the library and ART does not require anything else in particular , it should work.
I have come back to stock after many Roms so just did not want to mess up anything for now

it might be work but give some issues on some app
Need some brave tester here ..apps not working with ART will not work anyways, but there should be no problem with compatible apps
I tested this method on my phone...uninstalled xposed, changed build.prop and rebooted...but the method does not work...runtime changes to dalvik on boot

edit: btw is this google stock camera? When I replaced this file with GoogleCamera.apk in system/app, fixed permission and rebooted, the camera is still Google stock. This is a surprise, because I couldn't get the camera working before. It would always fail to open with "gallery stop responding" error.

Good evening from me and I want to ask ie if I put a another Rom as the cm11 and pass this file and i do install i will have the original camera e975 4.1.2jb ports? what about 4.4.2kk ports in camera we have any info or zip file?beacose it have better ports and the photos is more clean and pure...and one last question.... you have do it this in your phone? i mean the quality of camera is better that android camera in cm11???? beacose that camera is sucks and that is my biggest problem and it is the reason that i am not go in any custom rom yet........ty a lot and sry for all this questions.

This zip doesn't have the usual scripts and path structure that comes with those who are supposed to be flashed from recovery.
I'm not stating anything "for" or "against", but are you sure this one is really supposed to be flashed "as is"?

Guys, this is obviously NOT a flashable zip. Just unpack, and copy files over manually (both apk and odex). In KK, the path is /system/priv-app.
Where can I find the fotocamer astock LG Optimus G E975 for CM 12? Thank You.

Is the hardware there, and just disabled? Or is it removed all together? I find it annoying that my Droid X was able to make my mp3 player obsolete, yet the last 4 phones I've had couldn't. It's just the carrier's wanting us to stream music so they can charge us more for data.

Here is a zip with the files you need, unzip, place LGVidClip.apk and LGVoiceRecorder.apk and both the odex files in /system/priv-app/ with rw-r--r-- permissions and place LGFmRadio.apk in /data/preload/ also with rw-r--r-- permissions.
Anyone able to get LG vid clip working? Supposedly we should be able to edit a video by hitting the menu button. This didn't work for me on AT&T G3. Maybe we need video apk as well?
I can't get the fm radio to work on my att g3. Any suggestions?

i noticed that i already have LGVidClip.apk and LGVoiceRecorder.apk and both the odex files in /system/priv-app/, but they are hidden or unactive....anyone knows how to enable them??
as for the radio, it display a mock message for everything when i try to use it (mock tunning, mock sound), can't listen to anything

Think you will have to install an internet radio like TuneIn.
For the other two apps: they might have been frozen, so try to unfreeze them using Rom Toolbox. Otherwise, move your own apk's + odex to the SD Card and reboot, then move them back and reboot again, still not working? Move them back to the SD Card and try using my apk's.

another thing i noticed is that the font folder has lots of fonts that does not appear if i want to change it throught settings/font

Strange... You can try to install a stock based custom ROM
This will most likely solve your problem, but you will probably run Sphinx G3 Neo or VDT V8 so you won't get the LG updates

I can use the sensor that turns the screen off during calls but I cannot use it in the stock rom and it calls the last person I previously called automatically. I need a fix for this. i know this problem very well...i have faced it for 1 year almost...
just remove scratch guard over proxinity sensor...
it may sound silly but yes after screen guard, senaor works in custom rom but not in stock

same i faced some months ago... then i cut the screen guard a little bit in proximity sensor area... then it was working properly....
Forget about this issue. I switched to miui. And for those who were searching for a prefect rom for nokia x l. I recommend miui 5.4.12.

+1 for that..totally agreed...just search 'material' in themes and see a theme with some unique pretty different name, i dont remember. you will love it even more than lollipop or marshmallow

there will be a patch there in miui thread, named fixmiui.zip. flash that also other wise you cant download any theme.

you need to delete just the psensorcal file from bin folder then replace sensor_default and sensor_goldfish from kitkat folder and put them in hw folder.
thats it,sensor will work with protection guard on it

I think this will work. My tempered glass has no sensor cut. In stock ROM it cause problem like no screen off during call. In KitKat it works perfectly.

My understanding is that when /system/framework/com.motorola.frameworks.core.addon.jar is present
com.motorola.camera.device.framework.CameraMotExt.<clinit> fails to find class "android.hardware.Camera$EnvDetectCallback"
So I emptied out the static method (<clinit>) and initialised a couple of variables outside.
I used DexPatcher to modify it.
Then the behaviour is the same as if /system/framework/com.motorola.frameworks.core.addon.jar wasn't there.
Clearly this is a workaround not a fix. It would be nice to know why it can't find the class and fix it so that "CameraMot" is supported (I guess this is some hardware optimisation)

Thank you for this. After I deleted those files, an FC message saying "Motorola Settings" has stopped would greet me at every boot. This'll take care of that.
I don't believe it has anything to do with video recording though, does it?

I didn't see issues with video recording either with the patched Moto camera and deleting the .jar files, or using this Moto camera as is. The Motorola settings seems to pop up whenever, but dismissing it doesn't seem to cause issues with the camera app or the system itself - curious!

It can't be updated or it would loose the patch.
Quality wise I would say it's close to stock but probably a little below (can someone confirm this?)
For now I think this is the best we can get for non stock roms.
If someone wants to step up and try to get a proper fix that would be ideal.

This camera port is for athene only.
I've tried apps and the only way is to put the phone on DND

If you're using stock I don't think it's possible, maybe by editing build.prop or any other files manually but I don't know what file and what to modify...
Most sense based roms have this option in their settings app, e.g: Viper Tweaks on ViperOneM9.
