[HELP] CarrierIQ and Battery Life - G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I noticed my battery was draining rather fast today and I noticed that Google search and carrier IQ was the 2 top culprits when using wake lock detector? I think I figured out Google search just have to disable some things but can I just delete the carrier IQ package or its there like a mod to get rid of it? By the way I have T-Mobile G3

I guess I should of also asked is it safe to remove and is this the only package that makes up the carrier IQ?

yes, and yes, there are many threads on this already. search them.

It's easy to remove but as mentioned above there are many threads on this. It's not just one package either

Voice while using calculator

Does anyone know how to turn off voice when u use calculator
Sent from my HTC One_M8 using XDA Free mobile app
Hmmmm... what?
I am also confused by this
Holy crap is this annoying.
Basically, there is a bug on the note 4 that has a voice that reads aloud what your typing on the calculator...
It will read 4x4=16 as four multiplication four equals sixteen... So frickin annoying especially when im calculating cost for a job and my damned phone tells the client what my cost is!!
This also happened to me. I am just using a different calculator. I have calcu and my script calculator.
OK so I had this issue as well and tracked it down to the following. Go into your settings>accessibility>services
Anything you may have turned on under the Services Tab...Turn it OFF. This is what made my calculator finally stop talking to me. I hope this helps a few

Bad memory management is back!

Use search for God sake, you don't even need the search there is an active topic atm... There is also 2 videos where app management is OK, who the hell needs to keep 3 games in memory? And if it's bad at it like was OP3 they will make a update.

Calm down fella. I initially searched for "memory" and nothing came up so I scrolled in the general section and couldn't find any. That's when I created it. Your link isn't working for me either. What section is it on?

No need to. You may disable them ( freeze ) from app setting/removal center
Alright I just wanted to delete Googles Hangouts and play movies since I really have no use for em
@ilmervanhattem
Did you find out which ones were safe or do we have to learn the hard way?

They're your most used apps.. only way to change is to use different apps.

Thank you. I assumed that's what they were but I wasn't sure. I'm also assuming... If there's no way to edit them, there's also no way to disable that feature huh?
