[HELP] can anyone help me out with this issue of WCDMA network mode in MMX Canvas 4
whenever I tries to switch my network mode to WCDMA only the network goes off until I revert it back to WCDMA/GSM mode.
can somebody plz help it out.

Recharge with 3G netpack then only wcdma will work...
bro I am using Vodafone 3G plan on my postpaid connection and it was working very fine previously..i dont know how suddenly it is giving error
can anyone give me solution for this plzzz

No One Can Give solution for this in this forum, Even I got same probelm 1 month back, no one is able to give solutions, some people like this saying recharge with 3g or go and stand up on ur terr-ass ,,,, its waste of asking questions like this here...
give this a try
go to setting>click more under wireless & network tab>mobile network>network operators>select vodafone sim>select manually>a warning will pop up press "ok">select vodafone 3g(if you cannot see vodafone 3g then there problem with the operators network)
second solution:go to 3g service> enable 3g> select vodafone :laugh:

Must restore its original modem.img and the problem will be resolved normally ...

Me too same problem. modem.img ko replace kiya but network thori der baad phir gone ho gaya.
Mujhe ye samajh mein nahi aa raha hai ki Sp tool se original stock rom flash karne ke baad v ye kyu ho raha hai.

I'm also having the same issue...
tried all the options like flashing stock firmware v1,v2 n V3..
Changed modem files... nothing worked... .
I even used SP flash tool to format my phone NVram which will erase the IMEI no. also and regained it using meta tool...
Still nothing happens.... NO N/W on WCDMA only mode...

Can any one who is having this issue try the below step...
Go to Settings -> App - >All then select PHONE app and clear DATA.
Then change the phn to WCDMA only and seach for n/w manually ..
Now the 3G n/w shows in the list and select it..
But this is not a permanent fix.. the issue comes back if we restart mob or even switch the n/w to GSM or WCDMA/GSM..
Please try this and let me know whether it worked or not...
Maine apna phone service center mein de diya uss gadhe ne sp tools se flash karne ke baad de diya but problem ka solution nahi hua.
Phir se mein set ko diya. Ab dekho problem ka solution hota hai ya nahi.
Waise mere pass 3 rom ka backup hai restore karne par usme koi problem nahi hoti haii.
Mere probelm ka start tab hua jab meine sp tools se flash karne ke liye firmare upgrade ki jagah Format par click kar diye jis se imei aur wifi probelm ho gaya.
Imei and sn tools writer se both problem solve ho gaya but wcdma ka probelm solve nahi hua.

me got the same issue for past 2-3 months..
I got it fixed 2 days back..... ref to the thread started by me... link (if you are familiar with MAUI tool.. )

I am not getting network at all be itCompleted eor wcdma after installing stock rom through sptools. Chose format instead of upgrade, all went well but after restart it just gives me error when registering on network or when i try to manually search for network.
I have tried
1. Reformat
2. Restoring a backup
3. Complete format then imei restoration
4. Solution you posted on other link.
By the way it has correct imei (always had)
Any advice?

let's get to the basics shall we?
first of all make sure you have or done the following:
(1) installed samsung drivers (just install kies cd and plug your phone cable)
(2) using odin version 1.84
(3) kies program is turned off (if any)
(4) make sure you are logged on as "administrator"

Jst root ur phone with cwm touch recovery...search in threafs of karbonn a9 provided above for cwm recovery in english which is by phone hacker and follow the instructions.....
The prob is i already tried CWM touch recovery file provided by fonehacker but i feel my recovery is still of stock god knws hw it gt rooted all thngs happnd as fone hacker said bt still stock recovry persisted anyways thanks a lot still i will try once more this option

i was ableto flash cwm successfully this time using root.bat method i just tried switching on USB Debugging method and flashed it again and Yipee !!! it ws done now i cn njoy mod of A9

I am also new to the XDA forum and wanted to flash my ROM and encountered the same error as you did....
Firstly you need to rewrite the recovery so that you can flash you ROM without the Digital signature...I found a post which explains in detail how to flash you ROM with the CWM software...Here is the link

noticed that i chek efs file and i cant see the fichier nv_data at /efs/ nv_data . bin....and my imei is good its not nul/nul

THIS IS THE MOST SIMPLE WAY TO FIX THAT ISSUE
THIS ISSUE IS CAUSED BY INSTALLING OTA UPDATE WHEN YOUR A536 IS ROOTED.. BUT DONT WORRY.. ITS VERY SIMPLE AND EASY..
THIS IS STOCK ROM FOR A536, 4.4.2 KITKAT
FIRST THING TO DO IS DOWNLOAD THIS( https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B7FYdQOqsyAETnRXbGtBb2drb1k/view?usp=sharing) TO YOUR PC
THEN COPY TO YOUR SD CARD.. PUT IT IN ROOT FOLDER.. PUT YOUR SD CARD TO LENOVO A536..
THEN SWITCH ON YOUR A536 INTO RECOVERY MODE
CLICK INSTALL UPDATE FROM SD CARD2
FIND THE ZIP FILE YOU PUT IT YOUR SD CARD..
THEN INSTALL UPDATE.ZIP
AFTER FINISHED.. WIPE DATA.. THEN REBOOT..

I had the same problem as yours, my A536 being stuck on recovery after last night's OFFICIAL(!) upgrade (go figure...).
Couldn't bring it back either by "SP Flash Tool" or by "adb sideload" but your method did the trick.
