Most people in this forum are far more tech savy when it comes to cell phones.
Post your personal tips for battery conservation. Include specific apps if you'd like.

I don't worry about battery life, brightness all the way up, sync on, widgets on every screen, Wi-Fi always on. I usually get about 14 hours

I'm very conservative. WiFi off, data off when not using it, brightness depends, auto sync off, no battery sucking apps like facebook

The simple solutions are the best.
Extension cords in the house.
Car chargers/docks in the cars

I get phenomenal battery life out of my S3 (stock).
I had an Epic 4G and was afraid to leave my desk because of the battery drain. With moderate usage (30-60 mins talk time, texting, chat, some web, exchange, ect) I can easily get 16-20 hours. Signal quality in your area will impact it more than anything. Also, wifi is vastly easier on the battery.
PS Facebook app SUCKS. Just bookmark the webpage and use that. Works better and doesn't ruin your phone.
Here how it looks like ! Lovin this screen on time..

I've never even seen liteflow on my battery usage. What makes you say liteflow kills battery?

Awesome thread!
I am noticing that Google Chrome uses half the amount of RAM the stock Internet Brower uses.

I think it depends on how its configured. I've seen it eat the battery but also not use it much at all. Been a bit since I messed with it though so don't remember what settings made the difference.

i have betterbatterystats too but have no idea what the wakelocks affect and how to get rid of them.
Post a screen shot and I'll tell ya what could be happening.
You can improve battery life by switching to custom roms with less bloatware, and updating to more efficient kernels. (This is on a Rom/Kernel level)
Software wise, just figure out what apps are causing wake times and try not to use them. Basically whenever an app/widget refreshes/updates content, it may cause phone to wake (like weather/clock widgets for example).
I have been using cpusleep and it seems to have helped my battery life ... also using a custom rom without the bloatware is key for me.
my current setup is freegs3 release 6 with the latest trinity kernel...even though its overclocked my battery has been amazing and phone has worked flawless.
Im also using system tuner which has given me the ability to manage the cpu with on demand and other customizable settings
The only thing I synch is my k9 mail account
I also have frozen several samsung apps which helped...
Im now getting over 20 hours of basic use between charges...I dont use games/videos so might be a little skewed . I use this phone for business calls/internet/messaging/photos/navi...pretty basic
4500mah stock
Only 58% of battery

I have been using Gigajoule lately by feckmu and it has given me the best battery life out of all the custom roms I have tried. Even with GPS, WIFI, and screen at full brightness I can make it through the entire day with 30-40% battery left. If your looking for a rom-based solution to your battery life, check it out!

I am rooted and have been using Poweramp for nearly a month. I really enjoy it as an app, but I have found it to be extremely daunting on my battery. Has anyone experienced this or have any advice? Thanks!

Yup, it uses more battery for me too. I thought it was a known fact lol.
Basically unless you manually close it completely sometimes it will cause a wakelock, but then again even standard usage uses more battery life than average.
Hi All I just got the Galaxy Note 2 like a month ago and I've been loving it the only thing that I've been question mean if the battery life right now I'm getting like 4 hours of screen time and that's basically what I use to get with my Galaxy Nexus.
I just wonder if this is normal because I hear people a lot saying that they get several days of battery in for me I just feel like I have to charge it every day I also been monitoring the apps that I have and the background usage of them and nothing seems to be draining it.
I'm using android HD 6.0 with Perseus kernel
posting a screenshot right now..

On really heavy use, that is pretty normal. But for normal use or moderate ones, certainly not. Based on your screenshots, you have a lot of wakelocks, these are the number 1 culprits for unexpected battery drain, go get better battery stats and use the phone exactly as how you used it when you took those screenshots, then after a day or two, checkout better battery stats and find which app was actually causing those wakelocks.

I wanted to know other people's experience with battery guru. I feel it's hindered my battery performance instead of helped it. Please share your experience on this thread about your battery life. Thanks.

My battery was already bad, this app pretty much did nothing to help me out... but I left it running, mostly as a placebo effect lol
I feel as though if u can toggle on/off wifi and mobile data this app will do nothing for you.

I've been using it for a week and haven't really noticed that much of a difference over stock. Pretty much all it does is stop things from syncing all the time.
I use Juice Defender and I do notice a big difference
Don't notice a difference either. It's been almost a week.

Having never had an LG phone, how do the radios and GPS rate? In my experience HTC has always been a lot better than Samsung. I ask because I'm thinking of getting this out the new g2 and would like to hear from some actual LG users what their thoughts are. Thanks

It's as accurate as my Note 2 was, which was more than accurate enough for me.

The radio reception and gps are based off the SoC so any device with a s600 will have almost identical reception. Probably the s400 and s800 have identical reception also.

I deliver food currently and I know my area pretty well but if I've ever needed a quick lock the gps hasn't let me down.
