In general, we consider apps that can prove demand for their product- either through sheer sales, market research, surveys, etc. We invest in serious people, not merely ideas.
Good luck to everyone in their projects!
PS: Please feel free to reply publicly on this post if you wish. From time to time, we may reply. But can't guarantee it depending on how busy we get.
Hello,
Our developers’ team is ready to take up developing your project. We have been on IT market for more than 14 years providing our clients with software development services.
We are ready to provide you with the development teams that can be subcontracted in different roles in the project as expert consultants or as part of larger teams (e.g. software architect, software developer, business analyst, QA engineer). If a project requires development of custom made applications our experts can deliver all phases of the project (from initial customer interviews, through application development and testing, to deploying).
We can also be engaged in outsourcing that require expertise in Java, .NET, C++, PHP, Ruby, Mobile iOS and Android.

Dear users of xda developers
Within the context of a research project, we are investigating the potential of online communities as an instrument for the prediction of future developments and trends. We are planning to execute an “idea contest”. The project separates in four phases.
THE THANK-YOU GIFT
The author of the winning concept gets a $20 Amazon gift coupon for free disposal.
We are looking forward to your discussions! My colleague @Gideon92 and I will guide you through this contest.
And now let’s start with phase 1!
First phase
How will open source software and operating systems look like in the year 2030?
This phase is a brainstorming of the future development open source software and operating systems.
The ideas and concepts should be posted within this thread and be discussed with other users. It doesn’t matter how detailed the concepts or ideas are. There is no right or wrong. Every idea and concept, regardless how farfetched or ‘exaggerated’ will be considered.
Time period for this round: 14 days.

Thanks!
I was checking the list of holidays on the Achievements page. The current list comprises mainly of holidays in the US, with the odd holiday from other countries thrown in. For me as an Indian, a Thanksgiving would not be of much significance, but logging in on a Diwali means a lot. Diwali BTW is a national holiday across India. Similarly, there would be holidays for different countries which are important to XDA forum users from those countries.
My suggestion is to add holidays to the list based on countries from where there are most users. When XDA forum users log in on those holidays from that particular region, give them credit. Maybe a bit complicated to code as multiple factors will need to be checked for a logged-in user.

Just to add another view to that what has correctly been suggested by @Clark Joseph Kent. Personally, I don't think that any changes will come to the achievement system, probably even the opposite that some of currently available achievement get deactivated. Just my personal opinion, no an official announcement, speculation or suggestion.
I think you've to be aware that all major break-downs of the XDA Forums (like the daily and multiple ones we experienced a few weeks ago) were due to the achievement system and it really took a while to find and fix the bugs. Personally, I rather have a working website than additionaly achievements (I'm not US).
