I know what the first option it is for, but, what about the second one? I don't know what it is really for.
(Translation: Wifi battery saving (Minimize the use of battery when Wifi is active))
I hope you can help me.
I'm having some issues with push notifications after having the LG G3 locked for more than 10 minutes but it only happens with wifi connections.

What exactly are you asking here, or confused about? I don't get what you're asking. You don't know what "minimize battery use when WiFi is active" means? Sounds self explanatory.
Sorry for not explaining.
I have some issues with push notifications (I don't receive them until I unlock the phone) with wifi connection when my phone is locked for a long time.
I've got the second option ticked, could it be the reason?
Hmmm, that's odd. Let's assume in the most extreme of buggy scenarios that your WiFi goes to sleep when screen is off (even though it is checked otherwise), your mobile data should still kick in.
It has nothing to do with battery saving while on WiFi.
I'd say do a reset and start over again and see what happens.
I did.a reset and start over but it still happens

Hmmm, sorry don't know what else to suggest.

Hi, my phone has been periodically waking up as seen in the screenshots below.

I've gone through all of my installed apps and made sure that they arent refreshing, etc. at any frequent period (facebook and android weather were the biggest abusers, but I turned refresh off and to 6hrs respectively). I cant find any other apps that would be waking the device up, but its still being woken up about every 7 min. Any suggestions?
Thanks!
I seem to be having the same problem since the jelly bean update At first I though it was the steam app the one awaking the phone, but it doesn´t seem to be the case. Right now I´m blaming Google Now as I see no other suspects, but I´m not really convinced... It looks like it only happens when I have data connection or wifi on. If I disable all data, the problem seems to dissapear.

Ok so I just realized that Tapatalk was set to check for updates every 30 min. I changed that to 12 hrs, but that still doesnt explain the rate of awakes that I was seeing. Could it be google sync? I thought there used to be a place to set the sync interval, but I cant seem to find it in JB...
use better battery stats to look at what's keeping the phone awake
Is anyone else having the problem where your phone only shows "Voice Calls" taking 100% of the battery usage after taking a call?
Ive hard reset the phone twice and before i make a call there are many things in the Battery Use fiels like Android system, Screen display, Music, WIFI, etc but after i take a call they all disapear and only "Voice Calls" is listed.
Its not bothering me or anythin gbut i would like to know if anyone else have this issue as i like to track whats using the most power throughout the day.
Can you post a screen shot of your battery usage screen? Hold power button and then press the home button to take a screenshot.

Thank you for confirming, i was about to hard reset my phone again because i thought disabling all the bloatware and installing a few apps that needed root caused my phone to go nuts.
Thank you again.
Edit:
Looks like mine worked it self out. After installing Temple run 2 and gaming for about an hour straight last night i decided to check again before i went to sleep and it fixed itself.

Apparently, no way to stop it but, it's a normal thing..
Even Samsung devices running with Kitkat do so.. I don't know about other manufacturers' devices though or Samsung devices powered by Jelly Bean..

There's no way to fix this? Only to wait for an update?

Thats the only way I was able to sort it,there was also a thread somewhere on s10+ with tons of battery saving things to do not sure if they changed anything cant remember
I got mine to stop in settings, device care, battery, app power management, deep sleep apps. And I just added the apps I did not want running in the background, so far it keeps them off unless I go into it and when I leave the app it gets put to sleep.

My phone went like this last night, and it hasn't came back on again, my phone was on low battery last night and it went into extreme power saver, I don't no if this is just a coincidence or not but I'm lost here
never seen that before. id turn it off, take the sim card out, clean it, re-insert and see if that does anything. Otherwise call EE and check their isnt an issue with the account?
edit: you havent turned on airplane mode or something have you?
I'd also try to change different APN settings. I'm guessing only mobile data is affected and wifi works fine?
I don't no what has happened but I use that phone code *#*#4636#*#* to change it to 4g, and it reconnected, hopefully it's a one off issue and I'm not being locked out

P6P has its issues with data and reception. Lot's of complaints about low reception / low voice quality with low reception and slow data transfers (wifi isn't unheard of either but less problematic). I think it's been improving with software updates but mine still a complete pile of **** in terms of reception and phone call quality.
Try a hard reboot, if that doesn't work a network reset. On Samsung's it's called SIMtoolkit, clear its data as well; it will rebuild itself.
