Hi guys, new here.
I've got 3 things I want to do but keep bricking my phone.
1) I don't know how to flash clockworkmod specifically for ACE 2 - Which version do I use?
2) Obvs I need this to install Cyanogenmod 11 - Kitkat
3) Last question - how do I change the app directory to my 32gb external SD card
Thanks!
Point me in the right direction if I'm in the wrong place.
I have also got it stuck at the boot screen
Update - Have un-soft bricked myself

Hello,
I've recently picked up my galaxy note II from my carrier. Nothing wrong with it but some software stuff I didn't like. So I decided to put Android Revolution HD on it. I've had this rom for ages on my HTC One X NO problems at all.
First as allways when comming from stock I preformed a backup.
So After downloading all nesasary files I preformed a SuperWipe with the SuperWipe.rar from the official forum, checked MD5 sum etc.
Now, my entire SDCard is gone... Backup files, rar files system files.
All I got in my hands right now is a phone with hardware but no software/systemfiles.
Is there anyone who can help me fix this problem or is my phone a total brick right now?
Why would it be a brick? Go to your recovery and reflash the rom?
Lol not going to pressurize you vuddy but you should have read that thread superwipe on samsung rom erases internal sd...and you have to have the rom on external sd
Now what you should do: take an sd card.
Put it in some conputer which reads the sd card (or a mobile).
Transfer android revolution hd on that sd card.
And then insert that external sd with AR HD in your Note 2?
Start CWM recovery.
Mount external sd and install rom
Youre good to go
Hello All,
I just got my note about 1 week (SGH i317M) ago really enjoying it,
but couple question is still a wonder in my head..
i come from an iphone world so all this, is confusing for me
1) Could you root while keeping all your things intact (base band, kernel, build)?
2) Also ive seen couple threads saying that you can't use a micro sd card has an internal drive,
Does my phone has to be rooted to be able to do this?
3) Let say i custom root my phone is there a way back to revert the official samsung firmware if i don't like it
4)how come i don't have multi window on my device is it part of a new android Version right now i'm on 4.1.1?
Thanks
1) Yes. Check out chainfire's auto root in the original android section. It's the best rooting method for beginners.
2) I don't quite understand what you mean. Both FAT32 and Exfat format micro sd work in my note2. However, note2 doesn't allow you to move apps to sd card. There are workarounds that can help with that issue (such as: external to internal swap / Directory bind) but those of course require root. Again, I'm not sure I understood the question correctly.
3) Yes. You just need to flash stock firmware over again or factory reset.
4) You need to update your firmware. Two of my friends who bought note2 didn't get multiwindow out of the box even though it was 4.1.1. They got it once they updated.
What I understand

I think he means "Can he use the SD card as an internal drive?". That is the SD card as internal memory.
He comes from iPhone world so he may not be able to frame the question properly.
Well you can always move the apps to the SD card it is a default Android feature.
But it still occupies some internal memory.
However, to partition the SD card and to use a partition as extended drive SD-EXT you need to root I guess.
I flashed CM11 on my tablet (8.4), and was wondering if there is a way to set my sd card as my default storage? I could do it before. (Yes, I did try to look up the answer before i asked. )

Hello all,
I have HTC 10 already rooted with TWRP and SuperSU running Stock Android 7.0.
I'm happy with Stock room but most probably I'll install LinageOS.
I have options and questions in my head to reconsider:
Restricted SD card access - I agree with it (after what I red just recently), but my idea was to use advantage of 128GB (fast one) card and store various app data to it. I was used to "full SD card access". I was thinking just format it as adopted but It would get wiped after ROM reset (which shouldn't happened that often once I'm settled down). But how is going to be SD card access on TWRP backup and recovery?
I red somewhere splitting SD card but it seems not necessary.
I don't know yet but how does LinageOS 14.1 handle SD card?
I would love to here there is simple solution for SD card for Android 7.0 (is it Nugat?...) or LinageOS 14.1. Because I have tried SDfix but didn't work because Error information - "no groups specified in WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE".
What solution wold you recommend? What options do I have?
BTW: Also I have in plan to start setup with ElementalX Kernel to get more functionality possibly?...
EDIT:
Should I use App2SD/Link2SD maybe?
I wanted to change the core of my phone, and it bootloop when i installed twrp, so I downloaded latest official rom of xiaomi redmi note 9 pro(V12.0.4.0.RJZMIXM), but now I have an problem, the phone sees the sd card (micro sd) and I can use it with 7z or file manager but apps don't see it, example: retroarch (games emulator). I mean that apps just can't see the micro sd.Before the bootloop all apps could see the micro sd and use it.I even tried to format the sd card and it didn't changed anything. The rom i had before the bootloop was miui 12 android 10 I think? And the latest rom that I have now is miui 12 with android 11 the problem is in the version? Should I wait for an official update or downgrade to the rom I had? Pls help! Thanks!
Edit: nvm just downgraded to android 10 and it works fine
....I would downgrade to a working version and then wait for a better release
