either do a factory reset or return it and get a new one
I did the following:
1. Switched my WIFI to 5GHZ from 2.4GHZ. Now it is working as it should. Is this a known Bug?
Bluetooth operates at 2.4 GHz (actually, between 2.4 and 2.485). It has been known to interfere with WiFi operating at 2.4 GHz.
This is not specific to this device, but rather a general issue with Bluetooth.

Hi there,
i just wanted to start a thread , if there some people, facing the same problem as me.
I installed JellyTime version 27 (on older versions it happens too). When i use skype or the fritzApp!, everything works perfectly as long as the display dont turn off. When i put the phone to my ear during a skype call for example, the display turn off correctly but the call stutters, become unstable and sometimes completly breaks down. The same on the fritzApp. When i am listening to tuneIn and the display goes off, there are sometimes phases, where tunein has to cache again ... and after 1-2 min again ... etc. 2 Hours of perfect tunein stream while display stays on over wifi or 3g (tested).
What is happening there ? Does the display off function slows down the wifi and 3g so extremly ?
I did :
full wiped and clean installed jellytime (it happens on unofficial cm10 too)
played with governors, i/o setting, cpu freq
installed 5 different radios
Nothing helped.
On cm7.2 works everything like a charm.
The only thing that comes to my mind is for the wifi part and I mean the "Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep" option in "Advanced Wi-Fi" settings. But I guess this option is set to "Always" by default.
As for the governor (which would be my second guess if we weren't talking about quite well equipped DHD), the widely accepted one is smartassv2. But that's most likely not the issue.
I use JellyTime myself and I think my wifi connection is much faster with display on, too. It doesn't completely cut off with display off, though.
Sorry if I couldn't be of any help.
Other suggestions, anyone?
Thank you for the answer. I tried all governors but always the same issue.
Is there a possibility to deactivate proximity sensor for a workaround?

To disbale it the only solution that i know of is to install DHD_Proximity_Recalibrator-1.10.apk and set the values to highest, that should "Disable" it.
I tried some more on this issue and this happens now only during WiFi connection. I tested on 3 different wifi networks. On 3g connection it seems not to stutter anymore.
The only thing to use it properly is to let the display on during voip calls or switch to 3g network ...
In the issue tracker of the jellytime rom there is a reported wifi problem. Hope this is the problem and they fix asap.
Could somemore people test a skype call on a wifi connection?
Hey guys I have searched and searched for a remedy for my problem, first off here is what I am running on my i9250:
ROM: Beanstalk 1.190
Kernel: KUBO-AK r46
Baseband: I9250UGLL1
Now the problem is this, all data (wifi and cell data) randomly disconnects when my battery is anywhere lower than 50% and gets increasingly annoying the lower it gets. I do not have any powersaving features enabled and yes I have changed the advanced settings in Wifi (Keep wifi on during sleep: checked to Always, Avoid poor connections: Unchecked, wifi freq band: 2.4ghz only, wifi optimization: unchecked; i guess that is a powersaving feature as well)
Still the problem persists. The other problem is, it happens to my cell data as well, when I wake the phone up (when it is under 50% or so) I see that only then the cell data starts to reconnect, and then I get all my whatsapp messages and emails all at once. (same goes with the wifi) Keep in mind though, when I have the phone plugged in and charging the wfi or cell data are active when the screen is switched off. The problem only occurs when the battery is below 50%.
Is there anything I can do about this, it gets really annoying because I have to wake the phone up and keep the screen on, in order to get messages. I know there is a widget that keeps the wifi active regardless of the battery level, but what about the phone data when I am out and about. I need to stay connected especially with emails and whatsapp because that is how clients stay in contact with me and it sucks when they send messages and I get nothing and they have to wait for me to check or wake up my phone for the data connection to re-establish whether it be on wifi or data.
Anyone knows how to fix this problem?
No one?
Have you tried changing your kernel? Sometime kernels can have weird affects on your device.
İ think this is one of kernel problems. Battery section is controlling by kernel. Find a kernel and use smartassv2 with sio.
Yes, I swapped around a few kernels and same effect. I really am at a loss.

it happens to me as well, not sure about the 50%, but when I am at home with 3G and wifi on very often if i turn on the phone the signal bars are grey and not blue and it seems that connectionwas lost during sleep and is being turned on again
btw, I am on stock 4.2.2
Try to format /system. And reflash. İf its not work, flash stock rom and flash custom rom. İm not sure if it will work.
Believe me, I have tried every wipe and every rom/kernel combo that is humanly possible
Then problem is hardware thats what I thought. Unfortunately. Technical support helps.
Hi, i am running cm12.1 with xceletate and I am facing a problem wirh the wifi. In battery usage wifi appears enabled all the time although it is disabled. I am also not using it when I turn gps on. What could be the problem?
Thanks
wifi disconnects in inactivity
i have also same problem can anyone explained?
Its a bug in lollipop/CM12.1. Lollipop is still has a few bug issues to work out.
It does not happen with CM11 r26 which I'm using. r27 is the latest.
The wifi on my H815 (rooted) keeps disabling itself. The phone is 3 feet from my wireless router, and smart network switching is turned off, but wifi always turns itself off within a few minutes of me enabling it. A factory reset resolved it for a short while (an hour or so), but now the problem is back.
Any ideas how to fix this?
Can you confirm if this is on all WiFis? I ask this because my 2.4 line never disconnects, but my 5.0 line disconnects every now and then. I do not see disconnects anywhere other than on my home connection, making me think that it has something to do with the router at home.
I only have a single band - 2.4Ghz, and it's that one that it disconnects from. The wifi quick toggle in the notification bar actually disables itself.
I think you fried your wifi antenna. Did you use wireless charging extensively? There are quite a few threads about this.
No, there isn't a wireless charging receiver in the phone.
???
Hi!
I'm on stock OOS 4.0.3, unrooted. I've noticed a lot of people facing hotspot disconnections even when a device is connected.
I figured out the cause to be the WiFi which periodically switches on, connects to any network if available (in my case my home WiFi), and switches off automatically after about 10-15 seconds. If a hotspot was on, it is turned off and doesn't turn back on.
The only option for me was to resort to using USB tethering. Also, I'm sure it isn't due to any third party application.
Has anyone found a solution to this?
Also, my device suddenly locks itself and asks for password/fingerprint even when I'm using it! Any reports of this happening to others?
Thanks!
