Yes, it is safe but you will have to flash recovery with Odin. Read "Option 1" on the How To Root guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1955423
It shows you how to flash recovery with Odin first and then to use the recovery to install root.
Once you have your recovery installed, you can backup your existing ROM and then just flash a new rooted ROM if that is what you want to do.

I can't flash clockworkmod recovery provided on that page. I install the .apk then flash recovery and then reboot recovery but it just does a normal reboot. I saw there is TWRP recovery. Can I flash the ROM through TWRP? I asked on the ROM page but nobody told me a solution. Does someone have a clue why I can't flash clockworkmod recovery or if I can flash it through TWRP recovery?
Would be helpful to give some information as Most variants have a locked boot loader and can't install a recovery.

yes.
maybe you remove the permission for recovery installer from supersu app and grant new permission when you install recovery?!
S3v3n mod is for d855 running 10h stock only.
You need first to root device using purple drake lite, then install CWM IPK and then run it from same IPK,then having s3v3n mod on Device storage, select install zip, aroma installer starts you select options and install.

Now i want to change my stock rom for another one, if I use for exemple flashify apk o another one for change my stock rom o titanium backup o what ever apk for change the rom, when I flash the new room, can I lose the root in my device?
I don't have windows pc for use again odin, dont want lose my root.
Thx everybody!!!!
What rom are you trying to flash? Anyway as long you have twrp recovery, supersu will prompt you to install the binaries when you open the app and choose install with twrp/cwm. Then you will still have root. But most custom roms should be prerooted
I think YES you need root again if is it not modded rom.

Oh. Well you said you had the SMT700 right? This is the one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2963870
Anyway as long you have twrp recovery, just flash a zip (google it) called supersu.zip after flashing the rom. Then you should have root. Just follow the instructions in the thread I gave you and you should be good

It doesn't matter what rom you have installed you can use any recovery compatible for your device. If you flash a stock rom you will end up with stock recovery unless it's a nandroid.
Dear all, as i mentioned My LG G3 F400s doesn't accept any custom roms but no problems about stock roms
It was accepted in the past but not now, I tried everything to solve this problem but nothing work
before I used cloudy and fulmics without any issues but last month I tried to flash OTA I got Boot-looping then i used flash tools to flash kitkat.tot and rooted it to flash custom rom but I got boot-looping again
I repeated all steps and after flashed kitkat I flashed Lollipop.kdz by LGUP and it accepted but after flash the custom recovery I got "secure boot error" message
I did that many times with different versions of custom recovery and custom Rom (Cloudy and fulmics) but after all steps I got Boot-looping
Now I am using MM stock Rom but there is no root for it yet, So any help please.
sorry for my bad English I tried to explain as much as I can.
Thanks.
So you mean you are unable to flash recovery on your device.
Which recovery and recovery version are you flashing. From where you are downloading the recovery.
Have you tried to install recovery using autorec. If not give it a try from
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/general/apk-flash-twrp-autorec-thanks-to-t3081396
Tell me if it fixes you problem.
my problem not flashing recovery, i already flashed it many times (twrp) but after flash the rom with the recovery I got boot-looping but now I am in MM so I cant flash recovery (No Root)
any way I will try to flash recovery with AutoRec in MM and I will replay
Thank you.

Unfortunately , autorec. need root access so i am not able to use it.
G3 has root access for marshmallow why are you saying its not ?? Try flashify for twrp flash check youtube for a demo .... After successful flashing then root ur device download kernel auditor check to see if u have stock kernel or previous custom rom kernel always make sure u have a backup of root + stock rom in twrp always
Use kingroot apk to root it temporary using internet connection and then flash recovery by flashify or adb method. After that flash supersu zip or just flash rooted custom roms.

Download this rootkit which is very easy to use ...
first enable OEM unlocking,USB debugging,Advanced reboot from the developer options settings..
then connect ur phone to pc...
and use the option menu in the toolkit
flash twrp ....
then systemless root transfetr
boot into TWRP and intall he SU.Zip file and reboot the system...
1 / unlock phone
2 / flash custom recovery ( like TWRP )
3 / flash root package in TWRP
you can choose :
supersu or magisk
I am stock rooted. I got an OTA that I'd like to update but it looks like it doesn't want to flash through twrp. I want to stay stock rooted. Do I need to reflash entire image?
Try Flashfire.
If flashfire doesn't work (like in my case), just flash stock recovery and apply OTA. You'll have stock unrooted ROM and you can follow these steps:
1. have stock rom + stock recovery
2. use "fastboot boot twrp.img" (boots TWRP without flashing it)
3. install magisk from TWRP
When OTA cames in, I just apply it and then repeat steps 2 and 3.

Do you know if OTA will work if I have any other system modifications? I pushed some apps to /system for example. :silly:
Thanks for your help!

As far as I know, even mounting system as R/W can prevent OTA update. I wouldn't even try to apply OTA with modified system partition. In your case I would download full factory image, flash everything without data wipe, root as suggested above and apply next OTA without struggles

Have you tried flashfire? I'd recommend it. You can flash the ota, download the full ota from Google, and retain root and a custom recovery. Support chainfire and get the pro version. Although, functionally there is no difference.

Flashfire worked. I had to uninstall SuperSU and reinstall magisk and TWRP but much easier than wiping everything and flashing.
Thanks all for your help! :good:
