The person above me is correct. There is no kdz for the e980. If you're trying to flash back to stock...you can use the tot file with the LGFlashTool. Hope this helps.
Not getting tot file option..
I must be doing something wrong because I'm not even getting an option to enter a dll or tot file, only asking me for version and kHz file??Ay ideas what I might be doing wrong?
Thanks,

I have LG Optimus Pro E980. It has KitKat 4.2.2 and I rooted it with towelroot last year.
I know very little about this but and I would like to upgrade to Lollipop but when I check for updates it tells me there are none. I assume this is because I rooted it and that I need to flash Lollipop.
I've never done this before and don't know if it is even an option.
Can you tell if I can do that?
If so, where are instructions and files to do that?
If I do flash and choose to remove all data will I lose the root and if so does towelroot work on Lollipop? I would really like to start fresh while doing all of this.

LInda

Since you're rooted, you can't install manufacture update with the update function. Doing so will put you in a world of hurt.
How do I flash kitkat again? I tried following these instructions: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=44983841&postcount=1 but am really confused. I don't know what kdz file I'm supposed to use and I can't see the pictures that are mentioned in the instructions as how to set the settings in LG flash tool. For some reason they are not loading on the web page. Also, I see there is a tot file but I can't figure out how to use it. so, I'm lost here. I can't get my sd card (I started a thread about this). I either need to flash kitkat (which I assume will fix the sd problem) or find a way to fix the sd problem. Sure hope someone can help, and sorry for multiple threads.

Hi there,
I just pulled out the Marshmallow 24C kdz from LG servers. Here is the download link:
http://tool.lime.gdms.lge.com/dn/do...G4452R0ADI900BCDGQ/VS98624C_01_0131_ARB02.kdz
You'll need to use LG UP in order to flash the kdz file:

Enjoy

Blah, no reason for my "yikes"--the 13B KDZ is the same size. I was just comparing it to the OTA file that is ~950MB.
Thanks you, works great!
Thanks.

I can confirm this KDZ works fine. I can also confirm that flashing this KDZ using the LGUP tool works perfect. I actually kind of like it better than the other flash tool. I like how it throws it into download mode automatically.
I just finished flashing this KDZ on my VS986

LG UP is better because it is an official tool made be LGE, and also it puts the phone automatically into download mode (and also it is newer than LG Flash Tool )
Unfortunately, it seems that the LG KDZ link isn't working any longer. Does anyone have a mirror for the file, please?

Weird, neither Chrome nor IE gets a response from the site. I just checked again several times. I get:

Maybe just my connection to it?

Start here. You might need a megalock DLL file too because the program by default requires a login which most people here do not have and the DLL overrides that requirement.
