Minion Rush, to me, is one of the Android greats. The problem is that it translates horribly to a TV. There's no controller support, and using a touchpad virtually useless. So when I saw that this worked on Fire TV with the included remote I got curious. Does anyone know whether the Fire TV version has anything special about it? The standard Droid version doesn't seem to recognize my Playpad Pro, and I'd like to be able to play this on my TV.

Just bought a ouya controller ($17.99) at bestbuy online. I like old emulator games and sports games, but up until now haven't done much gaming on fire tv. I noticed NHL2k15
Has anyone tried this on fire tv? Also if there are any other games like NBA2k14 or 15 let me know if they work well on aftv. What I mean is are they made for touch screen devices? If so is there a way to make them playable with the controller. I have NBA 2k14 but as far as I can tell it's a touch screen version that works fine on my son's tablet but I can't find a way to change the settings to work with the ouya or any other gamepad.
Really it's an open question and any info is good and appreciated. Thanks.

The only way around this I can think of is if you had root on your AFTV. You could try using an application called tincore keymapper which would enable you to map physical buttons as touchscreen gestures. Also, there are some good sports games available to play via emulators. Try using a Playstation emulator such as Espxe or FPSE. Theres lots of sports games for that.
Unlike the Fire TV, the Fire Stick TV doesn't have a USB port, so a keyboard and mouse don't seem to be an option (please correct me if I'm wrong). I side loaded the .apk of the latest version of HBO Go but, being an app developed for touch screens, is it possible to actually use such an app on the Fire TV Stick? I can't seem to figure out a way to operate it with the Fire TV Stick remote. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Download an app called wukong from the app store on your phone enables a mouse cursor on the fire tv stick
2 ways to control it usewukong app as mouse and remote to scroll or even better if u have a bluetooth keyboard/mouse or game pad u can use that after installing the settings.apk file to mary the device. I use the ipazzport mini keyboard and touchpad works great.

Any cheaper options you might recommend?
yeah thats it amazon has it for about 20...here
use a 360 controller or the gamestop tablet gamepad there's a few other pads that work as well.
I just happened to have this one laying around and it works great.

Are you referring to an Xbox 360 controller to use with the Fire TV Stick? I would prefer to use that if it works. I love that controller and would feel much better than even the official Amazon one.

he says the Fire TV Stick remote works fine.
Looks like he's using an .apk he got from his Fire TV.
So im sure this has been asked before but I couldnt find the specific answer I was looking for. Basically I have a bunch of emulators on my tablet. I have the latest gen Kindle HDX 7inch and was wondering, if I got the fire tv stick + the fire controller, could use the fire TV to stream my emulator to my TV while using the controller? If I cant do it with those exact products are there any others that may work instead? Thanks a bunch.
Most, if not all, devices that are running a recent version of Android support screen casting.

Screen casting works fine. Though PS4 Bluetooth controllers have a slight bit of lag. But very usable once its not a fast paced game.
Can anyone Test out if Lineage 2 Revolution works on Amazon Fire TV?
It seems like it would be awesome to play it on a large screen.
If you need the APK, please msg me.
I just installed it, but I don't know how you would be able to control it on the TV.
Looks like it is [possible]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WeqnIbp3e3A) . On shield tv with Game Controller 2 Touch
I had to replace my Gen 2 Firestick for a newer one. Gen 3 with updated remote. I had an Amazon Fire Game Controller that worked great on the g2 stick, but not on the g3 stick. Known issues. They want you to buy a Luna controller.
Is there anything useful the v1 to do with the v1 controller? Can it connect to PC or Android?
