[Xposed] S5 Power Saving Mode - Grayscale - Verizon Galaxy Note 3 Themes and Apps

I just wanted to be sure people saw this post. It's an Xposed module that turns on the S5 Power Saving Mode, it turns everything to grayscale.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-3/themes-apps/xposed-s5-power-saving-mode-t2814113

This is the best mod, I can't believe greyscale can save so much power.

[Q] customized light sensor

Is there any application or script available for customizing light sensor. So that we can set display light, key pad and button light intensity.
For example: for light 0 to 100 lux , display 40 percent. For light 101 to 200 lux display 60 percent. Etc etc

Cyanogenmod has these settings, you can set any values. Also Runnymede port to DZ has RCMix3D settings, there you can just chose 3 modes (default, lower, lowest).

None that I have found... CM7 has a great built in editor in cm settings. It can even reduce flicker, how sensitive it is (light sensor), and soft key lights. Takes some testing but it works great!
Don't forget the thanks button for the guy who helped you! I wouldn't mind one either

MIUI is a great ROM. Ofcourse it could be great if we can control display light settings
My app Lux does what you want (for the display, at least). The next update will let you manually enter lux/brightness value pairs. Currently it reads in lux values and lets you 'link' them to brightness values.

Yeah I'm using Lux, it does what OP wants quite well.
EDIT: Oh you're the developer, thanks for writing the app!

Thanks for the application.. I just bought it. it is working for me ofcourse atleast for brightness. It would be great after having buttons and key pad customization.
I am exploring the application and let you know in case of any suggestion.
(Thanks button hit already)

Thank you.. Now I hope some battery life improvement as well. If Cyb3rGlitch is a developer of that application then he/she tried to fill a gap in android system, which I would have tried if I were a developer ;-). He did a good job anyways..

The problem with changing button brightness is that most phones don't honour the change. I'm going to hold off adding the feature until I get my hands on an official Google phone like the Nexus Prime.

Hmm ic
Well as far as desire z is concern i have tested customization feature of MIUI and cyanogenmod. Those worked well for button as well. The thing i noticed in these was that at the lower level of light i could not configure light intensity. i.e. at very dark level and at the normal room light level the output for display was same. But was trying to get almost 0 % for totaly dark room and atleast 20% display for nominal room light condition.
I am also searching for these feature in your application... I hope i will explore as much as possible.
That could be a limitation of the physical light sensor.

[Q] Quick Thread: Remove 90% toggle, add flashlight (xposed)

Hi, first post, great forum!
Thanks to this forum I managed to root and install xposed on my AT&T G3. VERY happy, and I highly recommend this.
There are two small issues that I'd like to change without changing the look a lot. I really enjoy the stock look and feel of the phone.
First is the brightness toggle in quick settings. Right now there are four settings. 0%, 50%, 90% and 100%. With 100% being labeled as such on the toggle. I'd like to remove the 90% option completely so it would just go from 50% to 100%. Is this possible without adding some entirely new quick settings app?
The other thing I'd like to do is add a flashlight to quick settings. Xposed allowed me to add one to the power on/off menu but that's as far as I could get.
Also, the two faces in selfie mode, what are those? It's definitely not dual camera. One mode they face each other, the other they face away. I can see no differences.
Thanks so much!

Hi. To answer your question about the "two faces" in the camera... If you set it to where they're facing each other, the camera will save the picture as flipped. This means that it will be a mirror image of what appears on the screen when you take the picture. If you set it where they face the same direction, the picture will save just as how you see it on the screen. Hope this helps!
If you have xposed download G3 Tweaks Box. You can add the brightness slider in as seen in my screenshot. Also if you hold volume up it will turn on the flashlight(one toy enable it). The tweaks box has a lot of great features just look around in it.
Here is the option for the flashlight.

Developer Options + Battery Saver = Moto Display Working

This might be a glitch I just stumbled upon by chance, or just the way the system is supposed to work, but it's kinda interesting:
For those, like me, who enabled Developer Options and turned all the animations ( Window animation scale, Transition animation scale and Animator duration scale) to Off, started noticing that Moto Display stopped working, and waving the hand above the Moto Z Play to turn on the display wouldn't work anymore.
To solve that you should either turn off Developer Options (if you want to get radical, and have all the animations back) or simply go to the Animator duration scale and change it from Off to .5x, and your Moto Display will be back and you won't have to give up Developer Options (thanks to @ladera for the tip! =)
Now the interesting part is you can also have the Moto Display functions back, still with all the Animations in Developer Options at the Off mark.
Just go to the battery and enable Battery Saving. Then turn your screen off and wave your hand above the phone, and the Moto Display will work. I don't know why or how this works, but it just does.
I know not everyone uses the battery saver all the time, just when needed and I don't think that setting Animator duration scale to .5x is gonna be a battery drainer or will lag the phone (if it makes that big difference, please tell me), but just know that Developer Options + Battery Saver = Moto Display Working =)
Thank you for this...i even thought it was my screen protector that made it not work I can't use the battery saver option it toggles off its cause I have the moto mod battery psck on but thanks a million...I just use .5x animation

You're welcome! Glad I could help! At first I also thought I did something wrong, because the Moto Display just stopped working!
You can't use the Battery Saver option because you're using the Battery Mod? I didn't expect that. I'm planning on getting one soon, do you think it's worth it?
Yea I highly recommend it with it three days off the charge easily without I get two days charge around 30 percent love this phone an coming from a nexus 6

I got the Tumi wireless battery mod by the way I can charge both with wireless or just the battery mod on the wireless if need be

Animation scale is set to default everyday

I don't like animations so I turned it off in developer options. I turned off window animation zoom, transition animation scale and animator duration scale. But the very next day two of them automatically reset to 1x which is their default value. Anyone knows what could be doing this ?
you most likely have to keep Developer Options turned on for it to not revert, I'm not sure tho give it a shot.

Ya the system manger app turns off developer options everytime we clear the cache and stuff using it. But I made sure developer options stays on. Even then the values of the animation scale reset. Try out yourself. I guess sleep mode does it overnight.
yups thats very annoying,we even cant disable preinstalled apps

Yes, you can. I uninstalled all the third party apps on the first day. Only app market and game center cannot be uninstalled. Realme community and realme store can be uninstalled too.
Wow I'm not the only one that having this issue.
Any solution. Guys?
It's the night mode on screen settings. Every time night mode (blue light filter) activate or deactivate, the screen animations get reset.

Does it have an ultra battery save mode like Samsung/MIUI 11?

Hi Guys,
Considering this phone next as I need an AMOLED screen, quick charge and 730SD.
Does it have an option like ultra battery mode/ultra power saving mode which disables everything except basic phone functions with dark background to prolong battery life like ultra battery mode in Samsung, VIVO and MIUI phone?
Thanks
I have learned Color OS doesn't have this option from a YouTube video. Looking at Vivo Z1X.
No
