Facebook profile pictures

Hey guys,
I have a Galaxy W since yesterday,before I had a htc Desire with htc sense....
There was a facebook contact picture sync,i want to do this now again,so I downloadet syncmypic from market but when I try to use it, there comes the error,that contacts are read only...
Does someone knows an other app for this (to link or just download facebook profile pictures) or a programm for Windows like this one for mac OS :

the facebook sync doesnt actually "add" any real contacts but simply makes them look like they have been added. but will get deleted once you "un sync"

I Don't really understand what you mean...better don't know how it is connected with my qestion.
I just need the contact picture of my friends nothong more ; not birthdays or anything like this,just the picture and manually it is too much to download each. (;
You know what I mean ?

I think but am not sure but if your contacts are on the sim card then you can not add pictures to them. Copy them to the phone or use your google account instead.

They are saved on the phone :S

There are 2 ways I know you can achieve this:
1) Use Samsung Social Hub, add your FB account and it will give you options to link each of your contacts to a their FB account, this will sync their photos and status updates into your contacts.
2) Use the official FB app, and check the Sync Contacts option. I havent tried it personally but should work similar to Social Hub

I tried it with Social Hub it does link my contacts but doesn't sync their photos :S
And with the Facebook app the same :/

[Q] Can you upload to Picasa?

Anyone else managed to upload to Picasa?
Recall on the Sensation there was an upload problem fixed by removing other accounts such as Facebook, Twitter etc
This time there seems to be a bug where it just shows up a "Dropbox" album and no other.
Even when trying to upload to that, it cannot authenticate.

Picasa Web Albums in the gallery has never worked for me in any HTC phone, I just get some pics of Panama that dont belong to me.

There is a bug on this ROM for uploading to picasa. It was also on the HTC One V ROM which got ported to the desire s. HTC need to fix it.
In the mean time, I'm using Picasa Tool from the market as a work around. Works well.

GalaxyS3 Gallery Not Syncing Facebook Albums

Cant seem to get my Gallery to sync up my Facebook Albums anymore. It used to work fine. I cant remember the last time I had it sync but I have Flashed Blazer Rom 1.5 and Freegs3 v.08 and .8.1 over the last few weeks. Is there anything I can do to fix this. It was a nice feature to access the albums offline.

I'm having the same issues. Haven't been able to get it to sync.

I think I saw a similar post about a similar problem. There is a app to help called hc sync or something... Lemme go look
Edit: try Hax sync in the Play Store...

Haxsync only syncs your contact pictures, and calendar . The SGS III used to sync the facebook gallery with your SGS III gallery. It was a cool feature. Not sure what happened.

So the issue is not my ROMS or something I did? issue is happening to all galaxy s3??

How about Facebook sync? In the Play Store...

That is for contacts. I want photo albums to sync with photo gallery.. It used to before..

Mine is out and so is my wife's phone.

Mine wouldn't work earlier today.now it's working though.

Talk to me like I'm 5 about the photo gallery app.

I'm having a problem with regards to the photo gallery displaying way too many photos and only want to display photos I have stored on the phone and the Instant Upload folder that google plus generates. What do I have to do to make this happen?
I've gone into picasa web galleries and deleted a ton of old ones which aren't relevant anymore, but no matter what I try my gallery app is a mess of photos from posts on google plus with no recognizable folder structure or organization at all.
Should I just give up and use gallery only for local photos and then the google plus app for viewing the instant upload folder?
Is there a third party app that will do what I want?

I really can't help you with the stock gallery app as it blows IMO.
QuickPic from the market will let you display or hide anything you wish.

I love quickpic but it's local files only isn't it?

Settings/accounts & sync / click on you Gmail account(s) and uncheck the photos so it doesn't sync with your device.

Instead of what is saying in manual, i can't see Picasa Web Album in the Gallery.
My Google Account is synchronized.

If it's that it's not cool.
On G2 for example, as picasa albums appear in gallery you could set images as wallpaper or other...
Now it's not possible.

Go into the photos app. I you'll still be able to set anything in there as your wallpaper

Into Google Photo app?
I use multi-photo wallpaper function, and it's not possible. It was on G2 because picasa album appear on gallery

Yes this is a problem and I would love to know why you only have Dropbox and Box to choose from. You can't add any other cloud service.
