there is rule "Do not create a "What is the Best ROM/Kernel for my phone" thread."
every rom and kernel are best, just try it yourself one by one. because different people may produce different result because of different ways use of phone.

What? No they have completely different chipsets. The international version has a 1.2ghz exnyos processor . The t989 has a 1.5ghz snap dragon. That is just for starters. The only real thing they share in common is the name "SGS2"
ohhhh…yeah,I get it.thx!

Your phone won't work if you flash a i9100 rom on this device. Doesn't matter how you package it. You will have a brick after.
I know that,I hope someone would bring me surprise .lol^_^

Hello,
Ok, I can't flash a i9100 ROM in T989, but I question:
Can I extract the language (PT-BR, for example) from i9100 ROM and then "insert" it in the T989 (orT989D) ROM?
I question because I bought a "Galaxy SII X" by Tellus (T989D) in the USA, but it doesn't have my language (Portuguese) and the app "Morelocale2" doesn't work cool.
I would appreciate a solution or sugestion to have my IBS Galaxy X in Portuguese.
Thks.
P.S.: I'm sorry for my English.

Your english is fine a lot better than the people that live in the u.s and its their native language. You will need to root your phone using this method http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1311194 and flash this rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1322642
After you load that rom go to settings/ Language and keyboard/ Select languge/ The select portuguese.
That is the only rom that supports your language I know.

Thanks for the words about my english.
I'll try do what you suggest.
Just some little questions:
installing this rom I still be able in the future upgrade to the original ICS ROM? Because I know that it will have all languages... By the way, is it true?
This rom is stable? Does it have some serious bug?
Will I lose some functionality?
If I don't like it, can I go back to the original? How to do? How to backup my Original ROM?
Sorry for a lot of questions by a noob!
Is that the phone isn't mine, I'm just helping a friend
Thks

This is a custom rom based off the stock rom you already have with added functionality. No bugs are known if you follow directions as stated by the developer. You will get an ota but it wont flash you will have to update it when the developer gets his hands on ice cream sandwich rom for our variant of the galaxy s2.

You'd be better reporting the post, rather than just posting.
When a post is reported I get a Massive yellow banner telling me the universe will explode unless I view the report.
Yep, I think I'll be following my usual procedure about reporting...

One of the worse things you can do after a bad flash is "panic flashing" i.e. frantically trying random files in a desperate bid to save the situation without having a f*cking clue as to what you're doing.
Breathe slowly, remain calm, and analyse the situation.
What did you flash *exactly* and in what order?
Any basebands in that? That'd explain a "no signal" problem nicely.

Because normally this is due to a custom ROM or flashing a kernel not a fluke that happens to everybody and IMPO dev people got more experience and might have more ideas of what might be the solution.
Man this ROM bricked my phone.. Guess I need to go to the question part of XDA and find out my answeres that I have.... " see what I did there "

Thread moved to Q&A. Just so there's no mistakes made, questions like this NEVER belong in Development. Further postins such as this will result in disciplinary action being taken, and I'd rather not do that. Carry on.

Question about the custom roms.

Greetings people, i just wanted to ask u guys a question, can i use the custom roms in this part of the forum on my GT-N7105 ?
Yes, however the rom you choose will have to be altered some before you flash it.

How? Can u explain some more? Our custom roms are just a few in our section, but here it's alot.
bump
First off bumping your thread is not allowed except every 24 hours.
Secondly no you cannot use our roms on your phone. What the poster above you was trying to say is you will need to create a port for your phone.

Firstly, stop been lazy use search. This is obvious to anybody with common sense a question that will have already been asked and covered in many topics already so no need to create a new topic just to be spoon fed. Look and read and you may learn something.
Second, There is in absolutely in no way shape or form any such thing as a "best rom" and the question/topic itself is ridiculous and not allowed on XDA for many reasons. Read rules.
Watch this XDA introduction video as it bluntly lines out what you should know as a new user..

^^^ This.
Additionally thread closed as its a Best ROM thread. OP what works best for one user may not work best for you due to differences in how you use the device. My advice would be to try them out and see which one is best for you.
