Hey guys, I have stopped using Chrome due to eating all my data all the time, what's the next best browser out there?
I loved the AOSP browser and it's quick controls. One finger browsing made easy.
Also lots of people are saying Dolphin is great. You should test them and judge yourself.
Is there any way to make the stock browser wrap so that you don't need to scroll right?
Opera has been my main browser for a few months, I can only recommend it
Great experience overall, even though it lacks a few extensions to be perfect, in my opinion.
Dolphin Jetpac for me

Best is a matter of opinion test them and see what works best
Some Place in rhe milkyway
Ive tried many and UC Browser is my favorite by far.

i use chrome because it connects my history and bookmarks with all of my other devices, computer and laptops. but my next choice would be AOSP. clean, fast and easy to use
I use BoatBrowser since my last 3 devices!!

Boat browser tablet! Wish we could enable under the split screen though?
Maxthon Browser wie auf dem SGS3 was ich vorher hatte. Ist sehr schnell und anpassungsfähig.

What do you guys think the best browser is? The stock browser is good but one problem I found is that you can't download some files, like rar.
Firefox is another good browser in been using but it doesn't have flash player, which is a huge bummer.
What do you guys use, and why?
Hi,
I use skyfire 4.0 , just because it is straight forward
Others like Dolphin HD. personally i dont as when you scroll left or right a menu pops up - could be deactivated i guess !!. Dolphin also has gestures which is a great feature

for me stock is best. To be able to download all files use app from market http://market.android.com/details?id=com.hwkrbbt.downloadall

That fixes my only complaint for the stock browser. Thanks
I've used dolphin, miren and opra but Samsung stock is snappy and stable.
Thumbs up for Samsung Browser.

I have used opera mini and didn't like it, skyfire was good but stopped me downloading anything like apk's etc for some reason.
Now using dolphin and think its great
I use dolphin hd. Used it across 3 generations of android
Phones and still love it.
I would deffinately say dolphin browser is the best.

It has to be the stock browser for me, does what I need it to and the only one which gives iPhone level smoothness on browsing on android.

Dolphin mini for me. Streamlined version with all the bloat removed, everything just works in it and its blazingly fast.

Dam ..How did this one slip through the net lol
Very useful app dude..
i use dolphin as it lets me take off the notification bar, when i view video.
For me Opera Mobile wins. Full screen, extremely fast, super smooth scrolling, nice interface. Also, Opera always reflows the text, when using pinch to zoom, which the other browsers don't.
Boat Browser, not popular but really rocks
Stock browser works great. Only thing is I have to use opera mini for some websites.
Mini dolphin is pretty good also. I personally don't like dolphin hd.

LOL HILARITY ENSUES! For a while I've been wondering if this was possible and man, only because I'm interested in the SGS 2 I wandered in here and found this solution!
Thanks a lot!
Miren Browser. As fast as Dolphin Mini but with more features and less ugly than Dolphin HD. All the above mentioned just uses the phone's browser engine to render anyways so performance should be the same as stock more or less.
Use Opera Mobile occasionally because it's even faster than stock, but some pages don't render correctly and/or links fail.
Only use Firefox when none of the above work correctly with a website.
Do you have a cab file for that browser? Would like to try it, but can't find it in the Android market.

So guys what do you think about the new firefox for Android running on Galaxy S3 !?
I saw it dramaticly smoothet than Google Chrome ( Specially in opening Desktop version websites ) & faster , and lets not forget it supports Flash but Chrome doesnt support it . Im using it as my primary Browser & Im loving it
( Dont forget to check the addons also , you can find useful stuff there )
So what do you think ?

Well, in my oppinion Stock Browser is smoother then Chrome and Firefox is smoother then Chrome too, but Stock Browser wins this round for me, but what keeps me away from Firefox is that there's no AdBlock extension yet and that Google looks like the one from 10 years ago, when i had Nokia 3310 >_> I have no idea why they dont change that, so that mobile would be recognized as "Android" and would display the correct Google site...

You have to download an addon and tell it how you wanna be interduced to the website ( as an iPhone , Android , iPad , PC or whatever )
ya stock browser is smooth but It doesnt have the smart zoom by double tappin and I dont like the fool animation of swiching between opened tabs delays your work and not handy ( the best tab swicher is on Chrome )

Just test FF and Chrome on xda dev site and FF feels definitely faster and smoother while panning around the page
I guess for me it is a personal preference i have all my bookmarks backed up to my gmail and Chrome restores them on my phone. So for me Chrome wins maybe ff will let me do that but can't be arsed..
The best is stock smooth as firefox and also has reflow of the text when you go onto readiablity mode and chrome and firefox both don't have

Agree. It's by far the best browser I've tried on Android. The quick controls are great.
Have any of you guys seen the m.gizmodo.com site on ff.

I use the stock AOSP browser but I find myself using chrome from time to time when I need the sync feature.I wish chrome supported flash and full screen mode, wouldn't mind if it stayed relatively slow compared to stock browser.

Was deciding on my browser and im between stock and chrome.
I also think many of you will be put into the dilemma since chrome is pre-installed on jelly bean. So im wondering what everyone else is using. I like chrome but it doesn't have full-screen options or flash but i presume chrome is faster(is it?)
anyone have a comparison between the 2?
Chrome seems to be a hog so I have been using ICS Browser + as it's light weight, full featured and is fast!

Chrome was only the stock browser on the Nexus 7. There is a stock Android JB browser, I use it, it's fantastic.
I use Dolphin, it's working fine.
ICS Browser+ because Chrome still has some bugs
Dolphin - like the swipe sideways to bring up side bars. Seems to do everything I need it to do and is relatively nippy. Don't usr the voice or gestures actions though.

Finally Opera Mini, since dont know how but it uses less power.
I'm using Chrome at the moment

Stock browser. I like using the default apps if they're good, for the aesthetic reasons. And I actually find the stock browser to be better performance and feature wise, so it's a win-win.
I am using mozilla Aurora on the HOX and quite like it .Aurora is still in beta but seems to work fine for me
Boat Browser
I use opera mini next for just reading News, opera Mobile for Full Internet experience

The stock HTC one, I love it because even though I'm running jellybean its the only one I've used that works with flash properly without crashing. Obviously this isnt an issue for ICS users

Chrome even if I think it's too laggy but the tab sync is essential for me.

Hi, I've been using Firefox since I got my Ion back in June 2012, but lately I feel it has gotten a lot slower and it went from crashing the home screen every once in a while to every time I use the browser. By crashing the home screen I mean forcing all the icons and widgets to reload once I exit the browser.
So I'm curious as to what browsers are you guys using now.
The stock browser is very good, fast and has some options
I use it with wifi networks. For 3G I use opera mini

I was using Chrome and I liked it a lot, but suddenly, after one update, performance dropped horrendously. It was when they introduced smooth scrolling.
Stock browser...its the best!!

Chrome is good because of connectivity with pc and syncing but it's kinda slow compared to dolphin or stock. And also chrome doesn't support fullscreen which is a negative for me.
Mostly I use dolphin and its really good and now there is a plugin for connectivity with chrome and syncing tabs between pc and phone. Whenever I am on 3g I use opera mini, it is really good with data usage and pages open faster because they are compressed.

Dolphin Browser, because it was (again WAS) a perfect and fast browser that I ever had when first time installing it...now,after a ton of update for the browser,it occasionally suddenly crash...I can only bear with it since it was a perfect browser for me

ICS+ browser.
Opera mini & stock browser.
Naked browser
I use ICS Browser +
Based on stock Browser, it feels lightweight and fast, but with many extras and an intuitive handling.

Firefox, for the sync function (I use it on my desktop and laptop aswell).
Boatbrowser used to be my favorite, but that one had to go since it was too buggy (was getting 50% loading stop bug all the time).
AOSP would probably be my second choise...
