Just got this device and when it sits for a while it begins plays music in the background...puts you in mind of being at a Spa...has water sounds to it. It is the same sound just looping over and over.
I have looked at every setting and options and I cannot find the sound source at all. Does not do it all the time but I cannot track where this sound comes from when device sits for a while...
Sounds crazy but anyone have this experience on new 4.4.2 device?

Since you just got this device I take it you're not rooted. Otherwise you could install App Ops via xposed installer and go to Media and control what apps are using Media function of your device (Screenshot is from my Nexus 4 but its the same for the Note, I was too lazy to go get it )
Are you sure there's no alarm apps, or maybe live wallpapers? Or maybe if you side loaded an apk then maybe it could be that. I'm just pulling at straws.
Post a list of installed user apps and I'll take a look and see if anything seems out of the ordinary :good:

Thx...I am rooted and opened Xposed and loaded Apps OPS...so I need wait until sound comes back and look under Media to see if something is there?
This is a nice tool iHeart ready always pop-up in notification area when I have not used for days...wonder can this app kill that as well?

Yeah, you should see it running under media and then you can just block access.
The same applies to the other heart app you were taking about. You can also block notifications in App Ops. There's also another way to do this. Go to settings-apps, select the Heart one and press the 'show notifications button'

Do you have a music downloader on your phone? If you do, clear its app data and it will most likely go away.
If you don't have one or it doesn't work, then download Airpush and it will pinpoint the source

It was the music downloaded that was doing that for me. If you have it uninstall it. If you need a need a new one search for "music junk.apk" on 4shared.com. worked for me!

I just use YouTube downloader and save HD music vids as mp3 only it rips the HD audio and trashes the video most songs end up about 4-7mb with excellent quality

Thanks! Haven't seen any since I cleared the data.. also downloaded Airpush and found out some other apps were making different ads pop up which is useful info...
I guess I'll ask a second question while I've already got this thread: Does anyone know if WidgetLocker could cause the phone to not wake when the button is pressed, or perhaps anything else that could cause it.. I sometimes have to plug the charger in so that the screen comes on and after that it's okay. It's fine when i'm at home but potentially quite a major inconvenience.
WidgetLocker has randomly given me all kinds of odd issues not waking the screen, not being locked when woken up, changing themes on its own, moving or deleting Widgets finally it got sidelined for go locker now that it supports custom shortcuts

If you don't mind me asking, how do you do this? I used to have a program that I found on the Market named YouTube downloader, but I can't seem to find it anymore.

Can you use lockscreen widgets (like poweramp) with go locker? I had it once before and couldn't very effectively, so I used WL because I could..
I dont know what program is doing this but i get random icons that appear n my homescreen for games and other crap all the time. When i touch them, it brings me to website for those type of things. I also get a notification star in my notifications up top and it is always a ad for my phone being slow or some thing about battery life etc. I never click on those so cant tell you where they would take me. I always swipe then away.
Does anyone know how to get rid of these, what program to delete or do you have this happening as well and what did you do?
Thanks
It's an app you downloaded. You will have to find which one. When you find it, uninstall that garbage. Absolutely unacceptable.

I have no idea which app it could be. Id have to nearly delete them all unless there is a way to figure it out though my first guess would be a game app.
Download airpush detector from the play store and open the app and press scan...it'll show apps that are causing the problem and gives you the option of uninstalling them.

If you are rooted you can get the app droidwall. It lets you block internet access to any app you want. Just block Internet access to ringdroid and you will no longer get those ads

Hi,
I use the standard alarm on my Galaxy S3 to wake me up in the morning.
When it goes off I usually just press a button on the side to turn it off. Since a few days, after I've done this there is a notification in the top bar, and a message when I swipe it down. (see screenshot below ) The message reads (mine is in Dutch): "Alarm - You can stop alarms or put them in hiberna.." where I suppose the rest would be "...te by going into settings.." or something.
The annoying thing is this message is a permanent notification and it isn't possible to swipe the message away or I haven't found a way to turn it off. The only way is to reboot the device. Not too much trouble, but kinda trivial to have to do this every day just to get rid of a notification
The phone just recently started doing this, so I'm guessing it came in with a recent update or something.
Any help would be appreciated!
Dries

Thank you for the reply!
It won't let me uncheck the box, but you did gave me a way to get rid of the notification; as I can "force close" the app. I then have to remember to start it back up, otherwise I won't wake up on time the next day
If there's any more help, I'd be glad to hear it!
I honestly think the best solution is to find a better app. I'd recommend Alarm Clock Plus. There's a free version you can try.

I just installed it. Thanks for the help!
I've never seen this one before.
I would clear data for it and see if it continues, but it looks like you installed another alarm app. I personally am using Timely now. I like the compatibility between TW and AOSP ROMs, the syncing feature, etc.
I would freeze the stock clock app if you're not using it anymore. Wakelocks you don't need.
Hello all, I recently updated my watch to 4.4 W2 and my favorite feature, to be able to look at my watch and see a reminder/notification at the bottom of my watch face, is there any way to turn the feature back on or roll back to 4.4 W1? Thanks

I thought there was a setting to always show the notification. I personally dislike it. I disliked that I played music and the music card blocked my time.

I agree, there are definitely some times that I wish the notification bar wasnt there but for example, I had a reminder set for 1 oclock today and I didnt see because I didnt scroll through my notifications. (And I must have just not felt the vibration) I think that if motorola is going to push a update like this they should make a setting somewhere to allow that notification card to show up @ lock screen

Changing the "hide cards on dimmed screen" option to "always show" has the same result and will show the card until you dismiss it or hide it by swiping down

You wear is not latest version. Upgrade it to latest even current version is work for you. After upgrade the item you set will change to another name, make sure not choose NONE but choose another opinion.
Every single time I enter my vehicle and my phone syncs with my radio, I get an annoying smart card notification that tells me that I can have the phone auto open an app. How the hell do I disable this? There isn't an "I already F**king know" option. The only way is to let it auto open a set program.
Anyway to stop this?
Unhappy LG G4 experience
Unfortunately there is no way uninstall or to stop smart notifications.
Go to settings >General >Apps>All>Smart Notice. You'll that you can't delete the app and that you can't even disable it's notifications. The only options that you have are to Force Stop or to clear the Cache which does nothing to solve the problem.
I am going to experiment with some notification blockers that I found in the play store. Unfortunately this means that there will be another app constantly running and slowing down the phone.
There are even (what should be) non native apps that they don't allow you to uninstall. You're stuck with Facebook and a bunch of others. This is absolutely unnecessary. The fact that these things are forced on you and the that the phone seems generally less customizable than my last phone, a Galaxy S3 is turning me off from the phone. It also has an intermittent glitch where the touchscreen won't recognize input.
I bought the phone because of the removable battery and SD card slot. If LG doesn't do something quickly to solve these problems I'm going to bite the bullet and return this for a Galaxy S6. Not having the removable battery and SD card option would really suck but I need a phone that works.
Good luck. Hopefully one of these blocker apps will work.
What smart card notification is being generated? Are you talking about the Smart Settings - Accessory - When connected to Bluetooth?
Or are you talking about something in Google Now, or maybe something else?
Smart Settings- > click on the 3 dots -> Settings -> Notification box. Uncheck it.

I'm talking about Smart Settings - Accessory - When connected to bluetooth. It asks me if I want to own a specific program every single time I get inside of my car. There needs to be a "Don't ask me this again" selector.

Take a screen shot of when the phone's actually giving you the message.
This is a bit late, but you need to change the notification in the smart notice/weather widget's settings. Took me forever to figure that out. I hated the "listening to solitaire with headphones, would you like to open solitaire when you plug in headphones?"
B3tterthanhim, you are better than everyone else on here.
This was prob the #1 most frustrating thing with my original G4 (except for possibly the "quick" charger that wouldn't stay plugged into the phone.) Just got my replacement and they started rearing their ugly card-heads again.
Can't believe the solution was this simple-never even noticed that there was a settings button on the widget, and it's still a mystery as to why this isn't in any of the actual system settings (oh, of course, cuz that would actually make sense).
I could literally kiss you right now.
Just a guest, but take this as thanks x1,000,000!
