Try download the gapps from Hyd52Rom thread. It seems to work in any roms for mate.

i solved that problem and ran into another one. i flashed super su via twrp and now i get android is upgrading (my dalvik rebuilt) on every reboot. how to root without getting that?

Usually International version come whit gapps, so is unicom or not this version?

it is. it looks great and works great until you throw gapps in the mix. so i think i'll wait for the international version or for a custom rom based on this one.

this is developer edition as i mentioned at topic so perhaps this is gapps absences reason.

What is your experience using this rom for day to day usage ?? do you feel your HAM slow after several hour using tihs rom ?

dude just like you I don't know any single Chinese word too but you can use Google chrome and in any page right click and translate to desired language.

Not really, I use my ham to see films, series, play games and online TV and it's the most stable rom until now.

KK Gallery on B125?

Hi to all,
I've tried B510, but recently i've downgraded to B125.
Gallery on B510 was more smooth and the white theme is great: is it possible to install it on B125?
I've downloaded B510 and other KK roms, unpacked theme.. but can't find in system app the gallery :crying:
Fromt themes looks like "com.android.gallery3d", anyone has this apk or know how to extract it?

Unzip B510 rom and in /system/priv-app you will find an apk named galery2.apk it's what you search it's camera + galery application
But i can't tell you if it work with an older version of Android because "priv-app" is only for Kitkat if i do not make a mistake.
Otherwise put this apk and replace the original one in /system/priv-app or /system/app with a root file manager and reboot.. i have make that with ParanoidAndroid (Kitkat) http://forum.xda-developers.com/ascend-p6/themes-apps/camera-app-b510-t2824928 and it work
I think it's more interessant to upgrade to the last B513 here

Little update for who was interest about KK gallery on B125
I've just tried, extracted gallery2.apk from priv-app and put it on my sdcard. From phone i've tried a simple apk installation and KK gallery was installed succesfully.
Gallery app work nicely, smooth, white theme :laugh:. Unfortunately camera stopped working.. force close after every time i've tried to open it. Erase data from settings didn't help
So i've uninstalled it and now it's all ok, old JB gallery and camera working.

So port Gallery from KK to JB is not so easy.
Maybe by replacing the original one but it's easier to flash a KK rom.
You try to Wipe DalvikCache ?
Port B5xx (KK) gallery to any KK CustomRom work even it's a little bit buggy.

No.. i haven't tried any wipe.. but i don't think they will work.
Gallery from KK worked perfectly, the problem was with the camera app: after installing KK gallery it didn't work anymore..
With KK, P6's camera shot also at ISO lower than 100 (up to ISO50), so something has changed (on JB minimum ISO was 100)
Push it to system/app, replacing the original JB gallery and setting permissions could work, but i haven't root access on my phone (for warranty). If someone will try backup first stock JB gallery!
So.. i will wait new KK roms, hoping they will be more smooth and fast :good:

For the root i don't know where you are living but in some country like in France, they cannot refuse a phone's warranty for any software changes. And if you want you can come back to another stock rom it will unroot the phone.I don't think they look a lot at this thing. If you want the root it's not a huge problem. But i understand your reticent feeling.
Perso i use the CM camera which i found on the PlayStore
Huawei is very long to make a good KitKat rom for the P6 .. it's sure i won't buy another huawei phone x)

Yes, unfortunately KK performance (i've tried only B510) are poor if compared to JB (like B125)
I'm from Italy, and yes i know those things about warranty, but the phone is working fast and smooth with B125, so i don't want to change anything for the moment
When warranty will be ended probably i will flash some KK custom rom, which seem stable and more fast than stock huawei KK :good:

great,so we have to flash twice if we need the chinese stuff?

Factory reset, clean install , everything works great it seems, but not security center, vwhen setting apps to startup, eg. Apex, kernel tweaker, sidebar, etc. Nothing get granted super user at boot, even though super su 2..16 is updated, and su working fine else! ?
Tried copy su xbin to bin like before but makes no difference, nothing starts up?
But it's definiatly smoother and faster overall, than previous version
Any idea what to do about autostart?

1) Not able to change the lockscreen wallpaper
2)double tapping on the home button to lock the screen doesnt work.
3)not able to use the blur effect on the home screen wallpaper
Liked the new camera app, it looks cool waiting for a bug free version

Would the camera app from this work on the international 4.4 rom?

Off course not, none would be on cos, if camera/maxaudio just was a copy apk to system/app/folder. ..sorry bro!
But try yourself, dl zip copy it from system/app folder to your own system and see !

Will test this later. I tested the other repack on OPPO forum but there were 3 issues.
Supersu don't work.. Need kinguser
Need to add prefix to telephone number for sms to be recognized
Switchr app doesn't work!

With this one I had endless FC's of Google Play Services...did two clean installs always ended in FC-loop. With the other repack from Oppo forum SuperSU works for me, didn't flash Kingroot.

Tested. Switchr not working.... Reverted back to v1.1.

I am also getting endless FC for Google Play Service. This only happened after I enabled Location for Google apps.

I guess the pa gaaps nano is not compatible with chinese kitkat Cos. I will test if the google apks from Cos kitkat international if it will work.

1. "Unfortunately, Phone has stopped" - I can't make calls with this repack (X9006). (If you have this problem you can make calls via the Contacts app or a different Dial app)
2. Camera - The only mode available for me is Normal, when I click Add only a blank Plugin Playstore window opens up - I can't download any other modes...

3. Camera - Voice Shot is not working
4. Google Location service and GPS causes "Unfortunately, Google Play services has stopped" error message to appear over and over again - it literally blocks you from doing anything with the phone.
5. Security Center - App Encryption is not working - if you encrypt/decrypt any app it does not get saved - it stays encrypted or not encrypted.
6. YouTube is bugged - you cannot play any video

I'm using Chinese KK ColorOS, not this one but official one, with pa nano gapps with no issues on my x9007.

How to apply Themes / Icon packs after Nougat update?

As the title says, does anybody know how to apply themes/Icons after upgrading to Nougat? I cant "find" or apply any of the themes/icons that I used before updating to 7.0...
A bit annoying if LG has done so that We have to use the Themes from LG`s own appstore !

because those themes are for MM no? maybe thats the cause. maybe trying themes for phones like V10 that has 7.0

No not all of them, but still how to add the themes in Nougat when all you can access is the ones that are standard and when you press the "add" button you get directed to LG app store?.... i only useed the ones built in rom.

That's not true. I removed mine since the beginning, have the latest updates and still use Nova. Something else is wrong.

Every time i go for home
Phone hangs on choose launcher

Got to install the new launcher before removing the default. I'm running total launcher as the default on my AL00 now.

But after last update of my device Huawei Mate 20x chinese version 256gb AL 00
(build number 9.0.0.175)
the device as usual restart to install this update and default launcher return to be the main launcher automatically !
I try to remove it through adb i never can do any more
try to factory reset and remove the launcher no way
to on another PC no way try differnt type of adb tools install even android studio and all drivers no way to change the launcher
at the begining i say may be the issue is from the diriver but it looks like it is huawei that close this method too and did not alo the user to change the laucher

i think if you do factory reset you never can change the launcher easily like before
i hope iam wrong but that's what i faced and its really so bad restriction from huawei if i am right

i think if you do factory reset you never can change the launcher easily like before
i hope iam wrong but that's what i faced and its really so bad restriction from huawei if i am right

Really shame on huawei
that s make me make a decision i will never buy a huawei or honor chinese version
by the way i will never buy international version also because must of the time the international version has a lower specification than the Chinese one
the boring huawei launcher is the cause of changing the default launcher if they do well with their em ui 9 launcher who will thing to change it !
poor customization of huawei launcher mean to me poor software poor and make it as no benefit device even if it has the gaming pc specification

But after last update of my device Huawei Mate 20x chinese version 256gb AL 00
(build number 9.0.0.175)
the device as usual restart to install this update and default launcher return to be the main launcher automatically !
I try to remove it through adb i never can do any more
try to factory reset and remove the launcher no way
to on another PC no way try differnt type of adb tools install even android studio and all drivers no way to change the launcher
at the begining i say may be the issue is from the diriver but it looks like it is huawei that close this method too and did not alo the user to change the laucher

I did a factory reset yesterday (had problems with GPS) and no issues removing stock launcher via adb after.
