Any chance the below sellers are real as well? And is there an easy way to confirm if they're real or fake?
http://www.aliexpress.com/item/In-S...ith-Remote-Mic-For-XIAOMI-Mi3/1026594253.html
or
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Original-Xi...uetooth_Wireless_Products&hash=item19eeca9c86
Just buy from Penon Audio....they ship quick and are 100% legit. Check em out....good communication too.
What I've learned from my share of transactions with Aliexpress is that EVERYTHING depends on the seller and the seller alone. Could be a fake one. Check comments before you order. However, the refund process of Aliexpress is great. I got mine refunded within a week (Had bought a spigen ultra hybrid case).
Why risk. Buy from Ibuygou: http://www.ibuygou.com/p-original_xiaomi_piston_earphone_updated_version_brown-5708-usd.html

I have bought tons of stuff from aliexpress and 2 times it have been problem. One time the item didn't arrive, contacted seller and the seller just sent a new one.
The other time I bought a android tablet, and the factory had some problems in the making of the tablet so it arrived after 2 months.
Thats the only problems I have heard of.

Zagg just released these new smartbuds ~ zagg /audio/smart-buds.php~, (can't post actual links yet).
some of there specs are
"Compatible with iPhone, iPhone 3G/3GS, iPhone 4 and all 3.5mm jacks"
I wonder if there "controls will work with Android or at least Double Twist
I went ahead and pulled the trigger on these things and here is what I think so far
Pros:
noise canceling mic (haven't tested it yet)
extensive cord management
armor covered cords, makes them tough and tangle free, REALLY!
built control works with Mixing app
comfortable
Cons:
a little flat in my opinion, compared to shure SE210 but mixing's equalizer made up for it
volume control is analog, it only controls the volume to the phones, independent to phone volume
Still doesn't have the remote functionality of some iphone head phones
I was really hoping to get a little more out of these. I have to say they a probably have the most feature for android users than any other head phones out there. They have one button and a slider on the "mic" part. The one button works like the one button for the latest shuffle, one click=pause, one click= play, double click=forward track, and triple click=back one track. The volume slide is analog so the range of volume depends on how loud the volume is set on the phone. Overall these are pretty good, I'd say the best for the money. the coating of the wires really does make them pretty tangle free. A good buy for $50, a better buy if you check slick deals for a coupon.
I hope they work well with me EVO
Well I just ordered a set of these as I think they will be perfect for work. Still haven't found what buttons will actually work with the EVO but if I can at least answer and hang up then they'll be way better then the Sony set I just returned. Plus I love the way there designed to wear. I have a set of Shure headphones that you wear like that and they are awesome.
it looks like they dropped the price to $50 on zaggs site. and I was able to get them for $40 with the discount code "ZAGG20"
I'll try and post back how well they work with my EVO when I get them.

Actually it's water mixed with baby oil. plus they come with a multipurpose squidgy q-tip. JK.
I really can't wait for mine to come in. I figured the volume control would be analog although I was hoping for digital. and I never really expected them to sound as good as my Shure se210's but when you consider the price difference and the terrible build quality on Shure's optional Mic (which only lasted 6 months for me tops. Which is the same problem I had for the original Shure extension cable) I'm sure I will be happy with them. I mean considering these have a longer warranty and cost the same as I paid for the Shure Mic alone I won't mind carrying these with me too work and risking damage. and my se210's can stay home by my computer where they belong.

well I just got mine in haven't got a chance to give them a good full test yet.
I have noticed that the button does answer incoming calls although it doesn't end them on my Evo running DamageControl V3.5. Instead it mutes the Mic. This is rather annoying and I hope theres an option somewhere to change that so I can hang up on people with out having to take my phone out.
I also haven't been able to get the previous track by triple pressing the button instead it goes forward a track and then pauses.
I'll give more info after I've had more of a chance to play around with them.
Edit: Ok so I did a little looking and it seems a long press on the button will end the call. So now I'm happy. So when in a call a quick press mutes the mic and a long press ends the call.
You probably couldn't run with these, huh. I need a pair of earphones/headphone that I can run with that has a remote so I can play and pause and skip without having to reach for my phone.

I'm not a runner but I don't see any reason you couldn't run with these. They fit in your ears pretty tight and with the slides you can adjust them so the cable won't tug them out your ear.

Well they do come with different sizes. But the problem with buds is if they don't seal then they don't sound right. Plus they would be more likely to fall out. Although I wonder how well it would work if you used the foam style tips and cut breather grooves. You would probably loose some sound quality if it worked but at least they shouldn't fall out all the time. If I get a chance to go to the track in the next couple of days I might try a few things but between rain and drama I haven't gotten over there yet.

everyone has different reviews, so you cannot use comfort for a reason to buy these. i went through 8 different models of bluetooths at bestbuy before i found one that was good.

Anybody know of some ear buds with the mic. for $20 or less. I like the stock ones that came with the phone but for some reason only the left side works. I would even settle for the same exact ones , but can't seem to find them anywhere. I am by no means an audiophile but do like a little bass, I mostly listen to podcasts and audiobooks.
Thanks for any suggestions.

Well,if you can go another five bucks,I HIGHLY recommend these stereo bluetooth headphones from,of all companies,jWIN.Thats right,I said jWIN These have gotten excellent reviews at Amazon and elsewhere, praising them for their great sound quality and great battery life.I myself have gotten over 10 hours between two hour charges(charged by plugging into my computer). They even fold down nice and compact when you arent using them, nice. The link is for Amazon(with free shipping),but I have seen them on Buy.com for around $24.00 with free shipping as well.Shop around you might even do better. I think they are worth twice and then some what they are asking for them, for the money you really cant go wrong!Hope this helped
I just realized I cant post a link yet The product you can search for on Amazon is called:"Stereo Bluetooth Backphones",the cheaper of the two that pop up are the ones I'm talking about.
Thanks I'll take a look.
Your welcome
I personally use the razer moray headset. Can be purchased online from ebay for as low as 17.00. Granted they do not have inline controls but they do have inline mic as well as great comfort level and surprisingly good audio quality.

That's weird, one side of my stock set went out too recently (the side with the mic). It puts out aroud 5% volume, barely audible, while the other side is fine. I was thinking about calling T-Mo and complaining to get a new set. I've had mine since July and haven't used them much.
I use these http://www.amazon.com/Skullcandy-S2INBI-FZ-Inline-Microphone-Black/dp/B002SW3MP8/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1295634861&sr=8-2 and I love them. The bass is deep and tight, and they are ultra comfortable, and the weight of mic does NOT cause the earphone to come outta your ear like some with other heavier mics... people say voice quality is great!
I've never used my original set, pm me if you're interested.
Don't know if they have a Fred Meyers in your neck of the woods. But I bought a pair of Skull Candy headphones w/mic for $19.00. They work decently.

love this headset... hate the equalizer on the ion... i think they are better than beats, atleast the in ear beats... my wife has beats but she tries to take my headset but should won't admit they are better than beats lol
i say they are better than beats because one, they are freaking cheaper by ALOT, two, no distortion in both very low and very high frequencies, three, works awesome with the fm radio and that smart key i assigned to trackid and it does work!
this headset has alot of potential but the ion's equalizer is what is holding the headset from being absolutely perfect... sound wise. the other drawback is that the omni directional mic kinda sucks... i say kinda because the mic does let me come in clear on the other end, just hope the other person is in a somewhat quiet room or else they wont hear you, even if your holding the mic right in front of your mouth. another small draw back is that for a smart headset, there are no next/previous track buttons.
the in line mics has never been kind to me so im kinda used to it. i've been using bluetooth headsets with dual mics and music support (motorola) so i never had a problem being heard. but, i want sony's smart bluetooth so these $20+ (depending where you get it) will hold me over til i have enough to spare for those.
hope this helps.
wonder if the EQ will be better after the ATT ICS update - maybe the walkman app will make things perfect
Would love a review or a comparison. I'm hooked on Skullcandy right now. Was disappointed to see no earbuds in the box.
Sent from my LT28at using xda app-developers app
i also was disappointed with no headphones inside)
im picky to sound quality (loudness of headphones is not indicator of quality) and i satisfied with smart headset. i dont have anything to compare with right now, only sennheiser hd465, but that is different level
it has pretty much deep bass line, mids and treble are also good.
my set comes with 8 pairs of black and green (4 each) tips, so its easy to pick the right size,
there is 4 buttons on control, and they feel almost same, sometimes i hit wrong button
cable completely dont get any tangles, but it looks to bulky sometimes
for $70 on amazon i think its a good purchase
but sony could include them in box

Hi guys!
I've been using the original earphones that came with my HOX and 3 days ago they broke so after taking them to the dealer the said it would take 1 month to repair and that the phone has also to go... So I thought of looking for the cheapest earphones to replace them, I went to dealextreme and found the original ones (so they say):

http://dx.com/p/genuine-htc-stylish-3-5mm-in-ear-earphone-with-microphone-black-139086
I was wondering if it's worth to buy them or just go in a store and spend 3 times more on the cheapest ones (with mic and button)??
I also found this one:
http://dx.com/p/genuine-htc-stylish-3-5mm-in-ear-earphone-with-microphone-black-139080
And if they work with HOX I think I will be ordering them!
Is this a good choice? Or should I just go to the store and buy a more expensive ones?
Thanks!

So I am the proud new owner of a Moto X and realized they don't come with headphones. I've tried using my iPhone headphones, which work, but I'd like something that can actually answer/end calls, or even utilize Google Now, which the iPhone headphones do none of the previous.
Anyone have any suggestions? I spend a lot of the day on the phone so I'd like something that doesn't suck for fitment like the iPhone ones. Sound quality is not horribly important as most of the time its just voice, with some music here and there.

Not really lol. The case I called and said I was told I'd get a $50 off code and a case. I NEVER thought they'd agree, but :victory:!
Then they announced the $300 sale as soon as I got it. Naturally, I was pretty upset. I called and talked them into giving me a screen protector and headphones for free to make up for it (These actually had to go through authorizations and stuff, so it took a bit).
Then I decided to return the phone I got for $350, and buy the $300 one ontop of all that, and still got to keep all my free stuff. :victory::highfive:
