[Q] Email Widget - Galaxy Tab S Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I am able to place a gmail widget on my home screen, but there does not seem to be a standalone widget for exchange email accounts. Am I looking in the wrong place, or has that option been removed? If it has been removed, does anyone have suggestions for a good widget to download for the purpose of being able to readily see microsoft exchange emails on my homescreen (without having to open an app)?
Thanks.

The exchange widget seems to only be on the magazine ux side (swipe to the right).

Thanks. I wasn't for sure what that page was called, but did see that it included the exchange widget as an option. I'm just used to having all of my email and Google Voice accounts shown in one place. It will be inconvenient to have to switch between pages or to open the email app each time.

long time android.. First time Sense questions

So it seems like most of the sense (which i LOVE so far) widgets and programs seem to only integrate with the email app not really the gmail.. which is what i use primarily...
Is there any way to change this that i am not seeing??
TIA
Well you could setup GMail for POP or IMAP access and use the built-in HTC mail client, but I don't know of any GMail specific Sense app.
If you want to use the Sense mail widgets you will gave to set up your Gmail account as an Exchange account in the HTC mail app. Using it as an Exchange account will allow you to still get push email; Google has instructions on how to do this, just...well, Google it
I am thinking that since the Desire and Evo are sort of the same, could you just set up your Gmail account through the "Accout & Sync" setting?
This is what I did and I get PUSH notifications

Hmmm.. I thought about that, but really need the push mail not just pop for every 15 min or so.

When you set it up through there, i am assuming it is going to your gmail app, not the "mail" app in which case you would get push notifications, but it wouldnt work through the sense widgets and apps (just the default android gmail app)... IMO

Yeah.. thats the way mine is setup.. but all my other accounts are in the regular "mail" app
Another Sense Question..
Also.. here is another "sense" question for someone...
I have contacts in my phone and they are "linked" with contacts from facebook... BUT the information from facebook doesnt sync with my gmail contacts. Is there a setting that i am not seeing that will do this?
For example, in a contact, i see that their birthday was pulled from facebook, and i can view it when viewing the contact card, but not when i go to the contact section on the web when looking at gmail....

Search Calendar?

It appears that there is no search functionality in the calendar. Anyone found a good calendar where you can search and filter?

I have not found any replacement calendars. All the app store has are widgets, that take you to the built in calendar. I want to be able to click links (URL and phone) that are in the calendar body, but this calendar treats the entire entry as un-selectable.
I know the data is there in the database, but I don't know anyone that makes a replacement calendar.
another reason I miss my Aria.
Sense UI had this.
Sense UI Calendar also allowed dialing from Calendar, Contact Lookup (incl. exchange contact search) from Calendar, and url's for webex in the calendar worked.
All 3 of the above don't work properly in Touchwiz or LauncherPro on Captivate.

E-Mail Widget for LP

I'm creating a new thread to inquire about this because I've been looking and looking without any luck. I'm simply looking for a simple e-mail icon with an unread e-mail counter built in. Just like the HTC E-mail widget or Hancent's widget for that matter.
I'm shocked that LP+ doesn't come with something like this standard. I feel it should be the first widget to be developed. Right?!
I have seen some other widgets around but most are not 1x1 and the ones that are have a completely different look to them and are not free.

I downloaded the Unread Gmail Counter widget from the Market. But I need something for the regular e-mail application. Besides, I would like someone on my homescreen, not the dock.
Nobody?! Really?! I'm shocked!

Multiple Google Calendar widgets with different accounts

I have two Google accounts on my phone right now. One is my primary gmail account that I use for everything, and the other is for school emails and everything related to academic work.
What I did this semester is I put my schedule in my school gmail account, instead of in my regular account like I had been. I'd like to know if there is a way to pick different accounts and display the two accounts on two separate widgets. I'd prefer to use the stock android widget as that has never given me issues although I realize I can always download a Calendar app and have this problem solved. However it would be nice to not have to download anything and keep the way my home screens look uniform. It would also be nice because the stock calendar widget has a native lock screen widget that looks and works really well.
Basically, is there a setting in the stock calendar widget to select just one gmail account per widget? Or should I just download a calendar widget from the Play Store and do things that way?

[Q] Where to click on Email widget to view entire inbox?

Hi,
I'm hoping someone can help me with this. I set up my outlook.com email address in the Note 2's buult-in Email program and added the widget to my desktop. Normally, when you click the top left corner of email widgets, it takes you to your inbox (gmail widget works this way). However when I click that spot on the Note 2's mail widget, instead of taking me to my inbox, it just toggles views between my inbox and "combined inbox". Is there some way to disable combined inbox, or some other place on the widget to click to be taken to your inbox?
Thanks!
Pinny
