I just got my HTC one a week ago and my older phones I would flash aosp or aokp immediately, and I cannot stand the sense lock screen, I bought widgetlock a while ago and tried that but don't enjoy the lack of notifications and music player (that goes away when not playing music). I changed the keyboard ,music app, and launcher, is there an apk i can install or overwrite, all I need is this please help! (Not rooted or s-off)

If you had root, it would be as simple as deleting the HTC Lockscreen.apk from system/priv-app/

That is correct, as far as I know, its not available as an APK.
There are lockscreens that do a decent job at simulating the stock aosp lock that it sounds like you want. You will just need to test them out. Go locker is decent but may not be what you're looking for.

Ok, I have noticed on some alternative launchers (like launcher pro for example) if you drag an icon onto the "desktop" from the app drawer and hold it on top of the trash for a few seconds, it will prompt you to uninstall the app.....
Is there any way of getting this implemented into some of the custom roms around here? or is there something I could install as an "update.zip" to acquire this ability? I like the stock sense launcher so I don't really want to install and alternative launcher for this.....surely there is a way!

It's an app you click into it lists all installed apps so you can uninstall easily its not the same thing but its easier uninstalls

I'll pass then....if I'm gonna do that then I'll just go into the built in manager apps and uninstall it.
Thanks anyway!
Like I said, it is a feature that I like about launcher pro, but I don't want to install a different launcher JUST for that feature. Oh well, I'll just deal with the normal process!
I used to have lockscreen music controls but now on myns warm 2.2 rls5 i dont have them with the stock music app. No settings for them or anything. Whats up?

Does the rom have lock screen contorls that aren't toggled on?
Theres no settings for them at all. Rls5 is based off stock sense so i dont know why they arent here...

Did you try reflashing the rom?
I downloaded the Miui music app that someone built an apk BUT again, no music controls on lockscreen. Im going nuts here.

Are you using the stock HTC Music Player, or the MIUI music player? Lock screen music controls only shows up when using the htc music player. I am on Myn's RLS5, and also have the MIUI music app, which doesn't work on the lockscreen. However, if I use the HTC music player, it works fine on the lockscreen. So, if you use the HTC music player, and still have no music on your lockscreen, I would suggest wiping and reflashing the ROM, because it should be working. Is your htc music widget working properly?
Edit: Saw that you said it didnt work with the stock player. I apologize for overlooking that. You are using the lockscreen that came with Myn's rom? Didn't change to AOSP lockscreen or anything like that?
Yup, the stock doesnt work either. I guess I will try reflashing the rom.

And you're using the stock lockscreen that came with the ROM? Did you flash one of the alternative AOSP lockscreens by any chance?

Nope. The only things I flashed on top of myns Rom was a gingerbread notification bar and gingerbread keyboard theme. Everything else is left the same. I really don't feel like reflashing for this crap. Anyway to implement the miui lockscreen controls into my setup?

That's odd. I'm not sure if that would be a problem with the music player or the lockscreen. I would try reinstalling both of them, and see if that resolves it. And as far as I know, there is no way to implement the MIUI controls onto the lockscreen. That would be nice.
I attatched the stock music player, music player widget, and lockscreen. You can place them in your /system/app folder, using root explorer or adb. Be sure the permissions are set correctly. And all three of these apps were pulled from Myn's RLS5, so they should retain the proper theming. Hope it works for you.

Didn't work. AND now that I think about it, ever since I rooted my phone, I have NEVER had lockscreen controls for music.
Okay for some reason I had music.apk in my systems app folder and was over-riding everything. I'll try adb pushing htcmusic.apk when i get home.

Couple of q's
How do I get just an individual wallpaper for my lock screen rather than my normal wallpaper??
There's also a screenshot of someone's phone where there app icons are words,I know I change them as I figured that out in a different thread, is there a package for the word icons?
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App
It is known that Sense UI doesn't allow custom lockscreen as it only provides the downloadable package from the HTC server.
The same thing applies to the stock launcher as well. You can't change the icon into words - unless you use third party app launcher and lockscreen such as Launcher Pro and WidgetLocker. By using this app, you can change anything you want, including what you have mentioned just now.
Both apps are available on the Market in free or paid edition.

You can do that on Sense 3.5 (in the personalize menu). I can't remember whether that option was there in 3.0 or below, so it might depend on what ROM you're using at the minute.

Issue: After installing GoLauncher or other launcher, your selected wallpaper changes to some random wallpaper everytime you lock and unlock your device.
Reason: I honestly don't know Amazon's intentions on this one
Fix:
**Coming shortly. Sorry
False alarm!!! This removes the settings.apk from the device.
Don't do this without a backup

Looking forward to this fix!
Keep us posted!
wouldn't it work to delete all of the wallpapers it is calling from the framework-res.apk and re-pack with images you would want to use (or delete all but one)?
I haven't tried it as it is too risky not being able to boot into a recovery and make backups and/or restore. That and I don't know how to re-pack the .apk. The third party launchers are trying to pull wallpapers from where traditional roms store their default wallpapers (the framework-res.apk).
It appears Amazon has stripped out most calls for any custom wallpapers from the traditional settings.
However the stock launcher is pulling the wallpaper from a folder inside of the launchers own .APK making it difficult for an average user to change (we could pass them off as themes.)
This post I found might help us with the unpacking and repacking of this type of .apk however I don't have the time to work with it.

Nope, installed it and got locked out with a blank screen on power on. Not sure how i fixed it but got back in and uninstalled. But in the meantime, the wallpaper had changed.
On changing the stock wallpapers:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1355267
This is how i did it... Just a temp fix.
Add a live wallpaper to your custome launcher, im using adw ex. then go to application and force close the live wallpaper app that is running.
Now change to the wallpaper you want.
Let me know if that works. worked for me a few times.

Low-tech method: sideload llama (I couldn't get tasker to install), have it set a wallpaper when the screen turns on.

I was able to stop the stock wallpapers from rotating and taking over by using widgetlocker v2.2.3 in the app store. They updated the app to support kindle fire. I am using go launcher also. Changed the lock screen too for I found KF lockscreen to be too plain. This works!

I assume you need to be rooted and have the market installed in order to get this latest and greatest?

The apps mentioned (widget locker, go locker, lockbot) will give you a new lockscreen - whatever style you want. This could be default Gingerbread android, or like the new ICS android or something completely different. Most are free, with a selection of free themes to also download and try. I've got go locker with ICS theme on my cheap tablet - works great. If you don't want to download the app - just try a google search of images of go locker - you can get a good impression of what's available.
You also mention getting rid of the ring, not an app to replace them? There are also apps which will get rid of the lockscreen altogether, so the screen is on when you press a button. Not used them myself, but "No Lock" seems highly rated on the market.
If for some reason you actually want to mod the rom - then sorry, that's beyond me!
If you running Revolution grab the lockscreen and idlescreen apk out of the LeeDrOiD hd port that is pretty much a 2.1 rom till you add the sense 3 add on. It should work out, they use the same base.
