There are many setup languages missing in all custom firmwares, in my case Icelandic.
The official kitkat rom has Icelandic, but the custom roms look so much better !
I can set the keyboard in my language but not the phone, is there any way to add this afterwards ?
I would be extremely happy if it could be added if future rom builds ( and all custom rom using Icelanders )

I just ordered a Motorola Defy and it should arrive in a few days.
I read some Threads about Defy Roms and some of them use the chinese leaked Kernel.
I am aware that the use of the chinese Rom could brake the flashlight of the Defy.
My Question is:
If I flash a Custom Rom based on the chinese Kernel, can my flashlight break ?
Or does this only happen with the Full Chinese Rom.

Naturally custom roms based on Chinese 2.2 could inherit the LED problem. From what I read in Chinese forums, many non-Chinese defys did have greenish/weak/burnt LED after flashing Chinese 2.2 based custom roms.

I think it depends if the rom is designed for ME525 or MB525
Where can i download the arabic support fonts and files for the htc wildfire (rooted). The reason I ask is because I am running a super fast rom for it (Leaf R3) but for it to be as the developer made it he had to strip a lot of the features from it to save space. It is sense based running launcher pro as its default launcher. The only downside is that it does not support arabic text as a whole. They come up as little boxes where the arabic is meant to be. How could I fix this without changing roms ? I have searched around but the solution is always restricted to the OP phone which, sadly, is never a htc wildfire :\
Also can i use any kernel on any rom or are they rom specific?

I'm using Jikantaru's ROM - epic sense 2.1 (at least that's what the zip's called.) it's based on an asian rom. It's the best i've tried yet. And most recent i think which hopefully means active development...
I'm using it, too, with no problems for the moment.
A very good ROM and usefull apps with it (except Equalizer for is huge ressource draining).
A must have.
Yeah, Jicantaru's rom - best rom I tried on this phone. Bad that rom-makers didn't made port of MIUI - i think, that would be cool...
If the ufficial update is untill the latest version why you use custom rom?

Does anyone know a custom rom that is simpler than the rom stock ( the customs roms are so polluted with functionalities ...) ? No features, just the basics. Which comes with the minimum of application?
My factory rom does not work the Data Usage. And now this is appearing a folder of the terrible Baidu!

try JDC AOSP it is pretty stockish ROM with substratum theme engine

Jaguar is pretty pure in terms of functionalities...
You can try lineage 14.1 which is very close to stock.
