This rom have ICS +, but panorama will not work on cm 7.2 still it's better than cm7 camera, you can extract the apk with 7zip and add it to any ''cm7'' apps folder

Hello, at start sorry for my poor english, its not my native language.
I have a HTC Desire (bravo) and i have a problem - in any ICS or JB camera is not working (on strock rom it was working perfect) i am using now cm10.1 VJ.
On ANY cm10 or cm9 Rom my camera is not working... even on MILDWILD CM7.2 it was very buggy
Stock hboot, s-offed, CWM recovery.
I appreciate any help, Greetings!

Your camera cable could be on the point of disconnection. You'll have to open the back of the phone and check that. Search the forum. I'm sure someone else had the same problem.
I'm using Marius ICS ROM camera and video work
Sent from my HTC Desire using xda app-developers app
I use VJ ROM too, I use for camera : camera ICS and it works ok, and for video recording I use video cam illusion that works ok too . The stock camera cand video recording dont work well on ICS and JB ROM.
Is your camera properly working with the stock rom?

except in the ics/jb qiss roms in which camera/camcorder works perfect. try marius.a rom
I use VJ ROM v5.3 JB 4.2.2. The only issue with the camera is that the "live preview" is distorted, but taking photos is actually working.
If you want a smooth camera, I would also recommend to use "Camera ICS by Moblynx".
The problem with those ROM's is the kernel. Their all using evervolv's kernel , and in that kernel video is really buggy.
It is written that in latest JB (4.2.2) roms camera should work...
See: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1850436
But for some reason the same author's MIUI ROM is on 4.1.2 and camer does not work there.

You may notice the topic name, it is not about MIUI, it is author's project on JB (CM10.1)... As soon as MIUI is built on top of Android, camera should work in regular further builds from vijendrahs. Actually they already made working 3rd party apps on current JB ROM... While previous builds failed to record video with even 3rd party apps:

MW-JG works like a charm!
Just fresh installed this rom - [ROM][PRE-ALPHA] Jelly Bean 4.2.2 - Pre-alpha 1 [14.02.13] http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1766550 to test "Videocam illusion" workaround from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1766550 and it is not working. I hardly get 6 to 10 fps in video recording.
yup this fix does not work... or the result just looks reasonable for the poster ... some people don't care/distinguish lags ... VJ's fix is for htc hd2 I think as in his last reply in one of his threads he said video recording is slow and he has not released it yet.... guess he was not able to port his modifications on the hd2 to the htc desire properly

OK so guys, I have this issue with my Xperia Arc S. I have installed several JB Roms on my Xperia Arc and eachone worked perfectly. But all had this issue... they don't record in 720p Video mode! And this is an issue for me since I have my friend that is interested in buying the phone but only if it is loaded with Jelly Bean and can record 720p videos. By the way I have the Lupus JB kernel on the phone and... Well can anyone show me a JB rom with a working camera at 720p or give me some sort of zip to flash that fixes the problem? Will flashing the default sony camera apps hekp?Thank you! Just a note, if you are showing me a rom, please may it not be one of the ICS based ones that just have the JB names and themes in them.... THANK YOU!
You can put the Viper Xperia 4.5. This firmware camera records in 720p format.
JB my friend, not ICS

Thanks for the quick reply and all but as I mentioned, I need a JB ROM and not an ICS one... although if in the end I have to put an ICS ROM, Viper will be my choice...
Here's a version of the approach? Racing Bean Version 3.0! Starting with version 2.2 is available 720p video recording (18fps).

since all jb roms for arc are CM based, they all have the same camera quality, because it is an issue from CM10, which is still on nightlies
Thanks Will try soon and will be back!

yes, it is the stock camera. Cyanogen Mod is basicly a google stock rom with extra features, that's all
replace superuser with supersu with workinkg update subinary
fix apolo and dsp apk no crash any more no fc
fm radio now plays and with out earphones just plug any cable for antena
add panorama apk
fix video hd camera quality
add at setings notification bar one setting for usb fix just tap at this setting and have the setting for usb storage driver tap again and the driver instaled at your pc
add new camera jb working style with gallery now you have ics and jb style camera
works only with fusion 4.3 and 4.5 720hd version kernel fxp kernels
does not work with lupus kernel and does not work with new fusion 4.4 kernel

I used this fix for CM10 FXP209.It records 720p @ 20FPS.
Editing photos in AOKP and CM10.1 using stock gallery app both don't work -- FCs in AOKP, in CM10.1 some effects come out wrong.
But I tried copying Gallery2.apk of cm10.1 on a installation of PACman rom and it seems to work more nicely, although it does FC sometimes.
Anybody else tried this?
If you installed CM 10.1 by iHra!n, Photo Edititng doesn't work. But check this ROM. Gallery works properly
I don't tried this method on PAC. I know you don't make photos in crossfire's build.
That's the cm10.1 rom I was referring to (am sorry I should have specified earlier). When I try to edit photo in gallery in the first category (punch, vintage, b/w, etc) all look like inverted colors. The frame, crop and +/- categories work fine though.
Playing around with JDevs Owl Project CM10.1 and I'm getting similar results. Attached some screenshots for reference.
The first is how it looks when I try to edit a photo using the stock gallery in Jdevs Owl Project CM10.1 -- funky colors. Am I the only one experiencing this?
The second is when I try to do the same thing with stock gallery in Pacman rom -- the app force closes.
The third is when I replace the stock gallery of Pacman with the stock of Jdevs cm10.1 -- works perfectly!

If you want speed, Dont Use CyanogenMod 9, 10 or 11, use CM 7.2 by MMB as it is very fast (even faster than original ROM)
