Hi,
Just updated to N900T UVUDNF1 bootlader and ROM and not quite happy with a few things. I was on Jelly Bean till now. Is it possible to install a NB4 or MI7 Rom even though I am on the new boot loader and radio? Would it work? I need to switch to a TW ROM because of WiFi calling.
Thanks much!

NB4 is not jellybean it's kitkat 4.4.2 TW firmware.
MI7 is jellybean 4.3 TW firmware.
Both the NB4 and the MI7 are Tmobile N900T TW roms and both have
the wifi calling option as long as your phone is a Samsung N900T
Tmobile branded device and you are on the Tmobile network.
If your radio/baseband is NB4 then you cannot downgrade to MI7,
however you can upgrade to NE6 or the latest NF1 firmwares which
are Kitkat 4.4.2 TW firmwares and both have the wifi calling feature.
Good luck!

Hi,
I am already on NF1 firmware. Upgraded yesterday(was on M17) and think I may have made a mistake upgrading to it so soon based on my usage of one the new NF1 custom roms.
So I cannot use a M17 (JB) Rom, but could I install a NB4 Rom since it is KK? I have TW recovery(2.7) installed.
Thanks!
In case anybody wondering I installed [NB4][AROMA] Hyperdrive KK RLS3.1 ║║ Hyperdrive just right now and it has been fantastic so far
No issues yet. GPS locked inside the house in a second on the first try.
So NB4 Rom works on an NF1 firmware imho.
Cheers!

Hello
I want to know what is the difference between m16 and mj5
And which of them is better
And does any note 2 device can run all of them or every one of them requires spacific recuirements
MI6 build was first leaked 4.3 ROM
MJ5 was second and subsequent leaked build. Consensus is official version will be fully functoinal MJ5.
MJ5 requires the new bootloader to be flashed otherwise your wifi will not work. If you flash new bootloader you cannot downgrade to 4.1 ROMs, you will have to stay on 4.3. Also Knox is integrated into MJ5 while MI6 not so much.
My personal choice is to stick with MI6 until official ROM drops and our devs tear it apart and make it work 'xda' style
Both work on International 7100

Thank you very much
Now I'm on DN3 rom
So I will wait for official 4.3 but I will not install it because I want to wait for making it as note 3
Current ROM on my Note II is Jedi X20. I didn't update to the official 4.3 yet so no Knox. I know that going from 4.2.2 (TW) to 4.4.2 (AOSP) on the S4 without updating to latest official will give data issues. Is this the same for the Note II? Will flashing a 4.3 TW or 4.4 AOSP ROM give me any data issues if I'm coming from a 4.1.2 ROM? (I don't want to update to official 4.3 due to Knox)

Hi I just unlocked the note 2 att version by downgrading to firmware 4.1.1. Now I can use the phone for t-mobile. I now want to root and have t-mobile based rom installed.
To achieve this must I first odin flash t-mobile's official 4.1.2 firmware and
then root and then install a t-mobile 4.1.2 based custom rom?
Or can I simple root and just install a 4.1.2 t-mobile custom rom?
Thanks!

First, why do you need a T-Mobile ROM? Is it for the wifi calling?

I have it in Note3 and it sucks...
I also have unlocked Note2 and it works fine on T-Mobile.
Do not odin the T889 firmware. Keep your current bootloader and modem, flash a tmo rom via recovery. Problems can be addressed in the rom thread.
Hastily spouted for your befuddlement
This ROM should work

Hello members of xda, I'm in need for some stock ROM's for the AT&T S3 (SGH-I747)
I recently got the device and it was on Jelly Bean version of 4.1.2
I tried flashing a ROM and it got soft bricked and I had to install stock firmware that consisted of Jelly Bean 4.1.1
Now that I'm on JB 4.1.1, it says that it can't find an update. It did the same thing to me when I was on JB 4.1.2
I'm looking to upgrade to 4.3 or 4.4 whether it be Jelly Bean or Kit Kat, I don't care.
Can anybody link me to a thread that has a list of stock firmware's on it? (Yes, I have searched before hand, to find nothing of help)
I prefer the firmware to be installed via Odin if possible, but I just need some stock AT&T firmware/ROM's
Greatly appreciated beforehand for any help that I can get
Check sammobile.com for stock i747 firmware.

Thanks, I'll go check them out now!
EDIT: The only firmware they have for US:AT&T is 4.1.1
Are there other firmware's for the i747 that I can use?
AT&T hasn't released as you saw a stock firmware file since jelly bean's early days.

how to update to 4.4.2

After flashing the 4.3 firmware you can either try to update with the official OTA here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2788012
or by using one of the two threads linked above. (2nd one is probably best after flashing 4.3)
Currently on a 4.3 Rom. My question is this. ....if I ota the 4.4.4 t mobile official update, can I still flash 4.3 roms?
You can flash 4.3 but your bootloader will stay 4.4. No biggie. You will notice improvements with 4.4.
Pp.
Thanks
