Can this be done? Is it on in ROMS other than stock? Why would it ever be disabled anyway.
Use apex or Nova launchers. No idea why anyone would stick with the touch wiz launcher
There is a mod in theme/mod section, but it may not work with ota.

That's it? It's the stupid touchwiz that causes this issue?!

Worked!!! It's called "Ultimate rotation control"
I like the Nova launcher too...it's very fast. But I somehow lost the Accuweather time widget when I went to Nova. I tried to get it form the market but it doesn't look the same. Wife's phone so I can't justify changing the appearance that much for rotations sake. Otherwise, if I could have put the same exact Accuweather widget back on, I think I would have left Nova on.
Edit: Spoke to soon. Ultimate is only free for 7 days.
2nd Edit: Found another one called "Rotation locker"
I like Holo Launcher HD. No lag, customizable, more options (like auto rotate) plus you can still use the Note 2 touchwiz widgets if you want.

Excellent. Thank you, as that stupid accuweather widget was the first thing she complained about this morning...sigh.

I tried the Holo launcher and still couldn't find that stupid accuweather widget. Sigh.
I ended up going with Novo launcher and finding a different weather widget from the Playstore.

That's what I did. I changed over to Nova Launcher and also Fancy Widgets to use a weather clock/widget.
I did like the Weather clock on Touchwiz but what bothered me was , having used HTC Sense for quite a while, I am used to touching the time and going to the alarm, but with Touch Wiz, no matter where I touched, I'd goto weather.
I used Apex launcher on stock. It helped until I got a phone call in my car with the phone docked. The Phone app doesn't want to rotate! :/
If you're rooted....check out the MOD TW 360 rotation
I'm running rooted deoxed TW with multi view and the MOD worked fine.

I have another widget I found which is very very nice. I don't think it let's you go to alarm by touching the time though.

Fancy Widgets let you set what program got called depending on what you pressed but I couldn't find a widget that I was happy with.
I ended up using HD Widgets and and used one of their weather clocks. While it doesn't let you specify the programs for where you touch, it has a very nice weather page built in(even allows you to select int weather ino provider) that works when you touch any of the weather and goes to the alarm when you touch the time.
So I'm using Nova Launcher, HD Widgets and also Android Pro Widgets for things like a Timeline widget(I was using APW on Touchwiz too).

Nice. I will take a look.
When I try to use the widgets from LG, like weather and memo, they don't load. It will just show "Problem loading widget". Any thoughts? I just really want the memo widget lol. I am rooted btw.

I had the same issue. I'm thinking it won't let them work. But if anyone knows how I would be much appreciated.

I think LG is doing the same thing that other oems do in forcing you to use their launcher with their widgets. Except I think LG isnt hiding their widgets so they just don't load on other launchers

I know what I was trying to say is other oems hide their widgets LG isn't but. I can bet that nova is missing some required features to run LG widgets.
My wife and I love the TW calendar widget. Its nice to have access to the entire monthly view from your home screen instead of just an agenda. We both run Apex on our Roms. Is there a way to get it to work with our launcher?

I have the Apex Launcher (free version) on a stock rooted Note II. I didn't notice the widget, so I just put it on my home screen. O.K., I only see the Event Viewer, not the full Calendar. I changed many settings on Apex. Nothing worked. Sorry I wasn't able to help, just confirm.
This isnt possible. It will only run on touchwiz based launchers. I know, it sux.

I like the stock launcher's weather and clock widget so don't want to lose it when moving to another launcher. How can I install that on a new launcher? I've tried zooper's widget and it doesn't scale properly.
I wasn't aware that any third party launcher could run stock widgets.

This is the only reason I use the stock launcher. I especially like the calendar widget.

Hi
I just recive my LG G3, really cool phone, but i got some little freeze on the stock launcher, so i download Nova Launcher.
And i can't use stock widgets like weather, music app, diary...
It's really annoying, can we do something ?
Thanks
Nobody know ?
You cant.
Stock widgets work only in stock launcher.
Yes, it's a shame that you can't but it's true. You'll have to find alternatives. I use nova as well and I have all the widgets I need.
Maybe someone here can offer an alternative to the one you're looking for. What widget do you use?
For example I use the LG Music app or the weather/clock widget who is very cool. On a other launcher we loose the LG design who I really like !
