Hey there lucky owners
Could somebody test it please, if G3 supports UHS-1 speed sdcards?
I bought this sdcard for my Note 2, but that doesn't. Would be nice know what can I expect.
Thanks in advance!

I donno why. I copy-pasted
it's called: A1 SD Bench
The G3 is compatible with UHS-I (it works), but we don't know if it uses the full UHS-I speed
I'm using a Samsung Plus mSDHC UHS-I 32GB without problems. Its fast but not that I measured anything.

So my UHS1 card works alright, and I get quite impressive speed from it...
This is the speed I get (tested with A1 SD Bench)
Read: 84.66MB/s, Write 27.35MB/s
This is a lot more than I got with the same card in my Galaxy S4...

On new versions it changes up internal and external, but still better than my Note 2
Thank you!
So is UHS-1 worth it on G3?

Forgive my ignorance, but I'm having trouble deciding which type of SD card to get for my new G3 since there seems to be a lot of conflicting information. Is the UHS-1 card a better option (faster/better performance) over a comparable Class-10 card in the LG G3?
posted earlier on another thread. these are my speeds using a1 and the "accurate - with reboot" speed test. 44 write and 75 read. Samsung pro 64gb. same card does 72 write and 79 read in my HP zbook laptop

Hi guys I've found many benchmarks for the Lexar card, but nothing for Samsung
Can anyone comment?
I've already placed an order on the Samsung, but I didn't see the Lexar on the website till just now.
Update: I just cancelled the order as it's awaiting stock, placed an order for the Lexar for now.
The only difference between the 2 products bundled items is that Samsung give an SD card adapter, and Lexar give a micro sdhc usb reader. And Samsung boast sea water/shock proof.
I'll be using it in my 32gb asus transformer prime

I own that Samsung Micro SDHC 32GB Class 10.
I already made two post about in in another thread Post 1 / Post 2
One the left side my own benchmark, on the right benchmark from someone else.
As you can see, the Lexar is rubbish compaired to the Samsung.

Soon as you receive the card, use H2testw 1.4 to test the card ( it will take some time ). If the card fails then contact the seller for a refund. If you have problems then open a dispute with Paypal ( hope you paid using Paypal ).

another method u can check and find out if the card is real or fake is if u download sd card tester from goople play and that will also tell u wether its a real card or a fake 1 by validating the write and reading speeds.
Not having a Sony before, do they have issues with certain brands/speeds, I know the Motorola phones used to be picky about which cards they would accept, can anyone recommend a decent card type for the Z3c please.

Good news, I've just ordered the SanDisk SDSDQU-064G-FFP Ultra 64 GB Class 10 Micro SD Card
I have used the same 64GB card in my Galaxy Note and Xperia Z and never had any problems, so you should be good to go!:good:
Used both 64 and 128gb sandisks on z1c with out issue.
Other then the fact any android 4.4.4 devices deny any non system apps write access to the sd (until root+xposed at the very least is applied.)
Is somebody able to confirm if external SDcard encryption is an option in the settings?
Inserted a Samsung 32GB Class 10, no issues.
Samsung 64GB EVO here. No problem.
Does anyone know the fastest card that this phone supports? I am willing to shell out the cash for one of those UHS cards like the SanDisk extreme pro or extreme plus, but only if this phone will be able to take advantage of the speed.

those number are realistic for microsd I guess, but I expect read speed to be a bit higher.
Yes that's real life
Via usb 3 adapter to pc they'll both hit 80 to 95 Mb/s read and write speed.
Think it's enough also my phone has minimal apps
I am more surprise that my Z1 is 5mb write, thats like awfully slow, but I check some of the benchmark ppl posted, Galaxy s4 is the same? Something not right here.

I hope so. I just bought a Samsung Pro+ U3 card! But I really don't see why it wouldn't support it. Will let you know when it arrives.

I ended up with a Strontium 64GB SD Card Class 10 U1. I think I'm quite dumb to believe I needed a super fast card to record videos in 4K. What was it thinking? A pro camera? Turns out, the phone compresses it to 6MB per second. And it's working just fine.
I might get a bigger capacity in the future. 64GB will suffice for now.
