If you can go to download mode, you can flash ROM from Odin. Get the latest 4.3 (since that's what you were on) and flash it from Odin.
Looks like you may have a dodgy recovery, try flashing philz recovery through odin
Yes I had to flash recovery from odlin. All good now.thanks for replies.

1) Put the tab in download mode
2) Connect to computer and flash stock rom through Odin.
3) Root - - Install custom recovery.

[Q] Ace II bricked, can only boot in odin mode

Hello,
today I tried to install the new cyanogenmod 11.0 rom on my ace II (I8160), but I ended up bricking it.
At first I rooted it and it still worked ok, then I installed a custom recovery and used it to install this rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2555021 . It worked but I wasn't able to make or receive phone calls. So next I tried to go back to stock by using odin to flash the original rom (I8160XXLH3_I8160OXXLH2_ITV, which should be italian gb) but now the phone won't boot anymore.
Currently, I can still get the phone to boot in odin mode and I can flash any stock rom, but I can't boot it in recovery mode or in normal mode. When I try to do so, the phone just stops at the screen with "Samsung GALAXY Ace 2 GT-I8160" written on it.
Do you know a way to get it to boot normally or should I just buy a new phone?
Nevermind I fixed it by installing the following files via odin:
PIT: GT-I8160_EUR_XX_4G.pit
AP: CODE_I8160XXMB4.tar
CSC: CSC_OXA_I8160OXAMB4.tar
and then installing a stock 4.1.2 rom

[HELP]Dr.Ketan ROMV8.1 Not Booting

I installed [4.4.2][27.07.14]Dr.Ketan Custom ROMV8.1 N3 & S5 Features MultiDPI - Goodbye edition., then flashed the ND3 bootloader via odin. It showed success but the phone is not booting and is stuck on the Samsung GALAXY Note II Screen and is not going past it. I then flashed the stock kitkat ND3 recovery. It showed success but phone didn't boot up. I then re-installed the ND3 bootloader, odin again showed success, but still no booting up.
Now i dont have access to any recovery. All I can do is to enter download mode.
What step am i missing out? Please help gentlemen.

I had philz 6.26 previously, then i flashed stock recovery via odin, then i again flashed philz 6.26 via odin, but i cant access recovery by the Vol UP+Home+Power combination.
i installed dr. ketan's v8.1
booted in.. it was working fine..
but as i was on older bootloader (MC3), i had wifi issue and phone not charging when phone switched off.
so i decided to flash ND3 bootloader.
i flashed it via odin, it showed success, rebooted the device but it didnt go past the Galaxy Note II startup image.
i had then read somewhere that flashing the stock ND3 bootloader recovery, the bootloader gets flashed properly,
but even then i couldnt get it to boot, and i had lost philz 6.26 recovery as well, which i anyways couldnt access to even earlier.
i then flashed philz recovery 6.26 again, but still cant get access via the 3 button combo.
so now, the 4.4.2 rom is presently installed, and i cant get the phone to boot. i can only make it enter download mode.
i tried to flash an old 4.1.2 firmware but that failed, and required a PIT file i suppose, which i dont have.
so thats all the problem.
Guys any help from from anyone will be highly appreciated.
