Snapchat crashing (Android Revolution HD 7.3) - Desire HD Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello guys,
I have a problem with Snapchat running on Android Revolution HD 7.3 ROM on my DHD, it crashes as soon as I open it with the following message: "The application Snapchat (process com.snapchat.android) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."
I tried different versions of it, all of which were freshly installed and the same happened. I saw someone getting the same error in the ROMs development topic, though no answer was given. Any thoughts?
I did wipe the cache and system before installing the rom, so I don't think it will help reinstalling it..

[Q] Market Application started to crash on Froyo

Hi Guys, While trying to start the Market app for the past few days, I get the following error message:
Sorry!
The application Market (process com.android.vending) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.
This started after I upgarded to Froyo 2.2.
Is there any known issue about this problem?
Thx
i have same problem
after upgrade you need to do the factory reset, it will fix all of your problems with the market gps and other applications, let us know how it goes. good luck
i had that problem on jp2 2.2 havent had it on jpy 2.2.1
in manage apps/clear cache didnt' work.. try that first.. if it doesnt work
(this is for market_ try uninstall updates..
it usually happens if there is a hung update killing the queue.. . for some reason it then works after you uninstall updates. and then the updates reinstall anyway.
Had the same problem with stock internet browser after updating to froyo (JK4, Bell canada). I did factory reset then eveything is fine now. Hope it does not FC itself again.
Got the problem too. Tried downgrading 5 versions, cleaning cache then manually deleting setting, changed kernels. No good. I give up. Market can kiss my ass

[Q] Virtuous v1.0.1 Problems

Hang with me, I'm a noob.
I'm trying to install Virtuous v1.0.1 on my G2. I did a permanent root and and installed ROM Manager, did a backup of my current ROM and clicked 'Download ROM'. I downloaded the ROM I wanted, installed it and rebooted. Everything started fine but I kept getting these three error messages:
The process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again [Force Close]
EThe application Swype (process com.Swype.android.inputmethod) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. [Force Close]
The application Google Services Framework (process com.google.process.gapps) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. [Force Close]
The messages keep poping up every two - three seconds after I force close them so I tried downloading the ROM from the computer and copy the .zip file to the sd card and installing it from Recovery but still doesnt work. Same error messages.
Like I said before, I'm new to Android and i've had no problem with the rooting process untill it came to installing ROM's. Does anyone know what is wrong and can you help me please? Thanks.
did you do a full wipe (factory reset/data/cache/delvik cache) before installing
the rom?

[Q] google services framework force close after backing up phone with CM

Hey everyone, register because I've yet to find a fix to my problem.
So recently i went to make a backup of my Rooted Evo; I followed all the correct steps to my knowledge and up to this point had not had any apparent or prevailing problems. Booted into Clockwork Mod, scrolled down to Backup and let the phone run its course. When the phone rebooted, the Error "the application Google Services Framework (process com.google.process.gapps) has stopped unexceptedly. please try again." i forced closed and was able to work in the phone, being bombarded with the force close between every input i made.
Things that other threads have suggested and failed:
*Rebooted and problem persisted
*forced closed and cleared data under applications
*Using Rom Manager, fixed permissions
*went into Clockwork Mod and attempted to fix permissions, seemed to time out
Not sure what else to do, what to try. I apologize for any 4um roolz i may have broken, but i tried my best to solve my own problems.
TIA

[Q] force close: (process com.android.settings)

Hi there,
I'm a new DHD user ( and a new Android user).
I just flashed ARHD 6.3 ROM yesterday (My first Custom ROM), and had no issues at all. After installing some apps (One after another, all of them) I started facing this force close issue:
whenever I go to settings - About - to check my battery use, the following Message shows up:
"The application settings (process com.android.settings) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."
I did a search but found nothing useful.
Here are the Apps I installed:
Smart_Keyboard
Skype
Screenshot It v1.81
proxydroid-2.5.0
Evernote_3.5
Documents To Go v3.001
Call delay patch
Hope someone could help.
Thanks in Advance.
Have settings force closed before installing those apps?

No actually, that happened after installing theses apps by a span.
However, I just did a Factory Reset and everything is normal Now.
Thanks ALOT.

Need help - Nothing is working!

Hi all,
I'm not new to flashing ROM rom's, etc.. I've done it on my Galaxy S2, but my GF just got the captivate and I'm trying to root and add a custom ROM on it. Nothing I have tried is working and I can't figure out what I did wrong. Please help. :crying:
I followed this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1378082
But it doesn't have CWM and when I boot it, then android crashes.
What do I do? Any help would be appreciated, I've never had this much trouble.
Currently says:
"The process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again"
And then
"The application Google Services Framework (process com.google.process.gapps) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."
If I could just flash CWM from odin then I could flash my ROM and be done! ..right?
Nevermind - found this.
