Hi,
Just got lg g3 and i'm wondering if there is a program or function to increase vibration in lg g3. Stock vibration is weak and i can't feel a thing :/

sorry for not quite precise question =] i have done it, but it's a little weak for me, so i'm asking if there is another way to increase it? ;]
Anyone? I'd also like to know. Just switched from GS4 and the vibration intensity is day and night. Can barely hear LG G3 vibration..... very stupid design.
Besides in options, you can try root, custom kernel and then modifying vibration strenght. But it wont be much stronger.
I personally found it strong. It is stronger then it was on Nexus 5 which was my previous phone.

I am rooted already. Where is a custom kernel with ability to change vibration strength?
Yea I think you do cuz Nexus 5 has a lot of complaints about a very weak vibration.
Thanks
Good way to burn out the vibration motor faster. Be careful.

I think I saw it ib Rins kernel. Use Trickster mod to set the value.

Only noticed recently that my DHD's haptic feedback is a tad weak when using the four capacitive buttons. It can be felt much better when using the software keyboard. But still i think its still weak.
is there any way to fix this? like a calibrator or something? I noticed it when i got hold of my friend's unit, a DHD as well and bought the same time as mine. Even though his is not used as much as mine.
running on ARHD 5.2.3, i was on Honeysense 7.2.1 before and it was still the same back then..
Thanks for your feedback.

flash a different kernel. the settings on the voltage tables for the haptic feedback of the bottom buttons is probably set very low.
Maybe not kernel?

thank you for your input, but my friend's unit also had the same ROM when i tested it. HoneySense 7.2.1 and the difference was really evident. Could it be a hardware problem already?

doubtful. Flash a different kernel and see if it gives you the same issues.
Hi.. just got my g pad few days ago and really loving it personally because of its perfect size, great build quality, and great sound quality (well far better than my note 3 )..
Whats really bugging me though is the relatively low brightness.. its the only darn downside.. So:
Is brightness hardware issue or software? If latter is there any settings or better yet ROMs that offer higher or better brightness?
Thanks!

this definitely has not been brought up before five thousand times, and a search certainly would not help you.

Really?
If you only had 5 posts to your name we would've given you a break, but not 248!!
Search the forum for "brightness problem" and read a few eh?
Seriously, this has been answered too many times to count in this forum. Please use the search utility before posting such a simple question.
Ok sorry.. but believe me i have searched and read all brightness problems and solutions for lg g pad but all i want to know of its possible to increase more of the brightness thru software optimizations or impossible due to hardware fault.. if i have found an answer i would not ask..
All i read about are brightness as dim is dark nothing more stated and the possible ways of increasing it but nothing answers my query..
Sorry to argue with anyone..

Well, if you read the specs for the G Pad and compare it to, say, the Nexus 7, you'll see that the overall brightness capability of the G Pad is quite a bit lower than the highest level for the Nexus. However, since most of us don't run our tablets at the highest level, this is not an issue for most people most of the time. So, to answer your question, it is basically a hardware limitation, but it's not necessarily a problem. I very rarely have an occasion to turn the brightness level above 70%.

hi guys
I downloaded the update but it wont install as im rooted. Does anyone know what the update was for and what it improves?
Also does anyone known if you can circumvent the root issue or is it a case of unrooting and installing

It's for battery improvement that's about it and yes you have to unroot not really worth it for that there's meant to be a big update soon i would wait

Oh really? Cool. Any source?
The real question is will it block root (the big update). Any update that removes root isn't worth it.

If you haven't updated think twice. here is my experience.
After the update my screen no longer goes to full brightness, the indicators and icons still say 100% however the screen has gone from 255 to 238 brightness at full. I think this is one of the ways they increased battery life
Note Lux and other brightness settings have not corrected the problem permanently.

They have increased battery life by having much better thermal controls i.e. the phone doesn't get as hot, one of the ways to keep the phone cool (and therefore indirectly increasing battery life) is to lower the brightness.
Keeping the phone cool was their main aim here, not to increase battery life.

Regardless of the reason my phone was perfect before this change and I had no heat issues or battery problems all was great, if you want to change options like this having an extra setting in the power menu would have been the way to go in my personal opinion.
What are the main issues of the lg g3 (planning to buy one)..
Does it have the screen issue like the g2? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fd5BTKpViUk
is there a fix for the overheating and shutdown issues?
how is performance in gaming?
is it possible to reduce the resolution to 1080p to save battery and gain performance (and maybe prevent overheating)?

Read through The G3 threads you will know the answer to all of these.
You cant reduce resolution.
Gaming is decent
I have had no such overheating since 10H update and no shutdown issues ever.

OK the. Do other users also have temperature and shutdown issue fixed with the lg update?
Never had shutdown or overheating no matter what firmware. It's abit laggy tho but way better with art etc.
I guess you guys are not heavy users? cuz I read a lot of users have overheating issues with message prompting them to decrease brightness as it is overtheating and may shutdown (what the heck? ... LG really lost it on that one... Do you really expect to get that kind of message on a flagship pricey phone??). LG seems to be making great phones but each time there's a deal breaker. (screen issues with LG G2 and now overheating/performance issues on the LG G3)... I hope they get it right with the G4.
Did antutu x benchmarks, 3 times in a row with 90% brightness without auto with an ambient temp of 30c. I actually can't remember if my score was lower last time (because of throttling), gonna check it when I receive my phone again.
No message about high temp etc tho.
ok you are probably not a heavy user.

I am a very heavy user. No issues. People need to understand a simple factory reset and installing the latest update helps. When i first got it i performed a factory reset and installed thr latest update manually so i never really had time to see if it had issues on previous firmware . although i did run a benchmark when i got it it got really hot. But i did the same after the update it just got a little warm nothing to worry about.
ok. I want to know if other users have these issues solved with the updates like you.

Zero issues, apart from the screen sharpening and abysmal battery life when the screen is on
abysmal battery life?
No one is experiencing this lg g2 issue on the G3 right?:

nice video showing that how lg g3 compares to the cat 6 version and the galaxy s5 prime
Sometimes the phone become hot specially when the phone is charging and I'm texting and browsing 'usually in a dark room so the brightness is 0%'
And yes my phone brightness decreased to 90% automatically and sometimes 80% due to overheating
Lg g2 was faster than g3 and you can see it when you use it for a long time
Overall. Go for it its awesome device
As you know, the brightness level on MIUI ROMs is just too low, you have to put the slider a little over 50% to even get a decent brightness (this is with automatic brightness disabled). This issue is not present on custom ROMs such as LOS and AEX..etc so it's definitely not a hardware issue but an issue with MIUI.
Is there a way to fix this? Or are Xiaomi even aware of this huge bug?
Thanks
Never had a problem with the automatic brightness control even outdoors. First time that I hear such a "problem"
There is no such problem here
It is normal that you have to crank up the brightness above 50 %. You set the base brightness with that setting, and from there the automatic will adjust according to your environment.
What is not normal is, that after every reboot MIUI re-sets the brightness to the factory value, which is the case on my RN5 global. Anyways, I solved it by using a developer ROM.
There is no issue here!

Global version. Doesn't matter now as I've been mugged yesterday and lost the phone. It hurts, it was such a great phone and I was enjoying trying customs ROMs and kernels everyday.

Seeing how Xiaomi makes a new smartphone every 5 minutes, I reckon it will be the Redmi Note 6
Thanks man!

Sorry to her your story, seems someone got a pretty good, brand new phone now. Usually the changes are only mini-steps, or just cosmetics. Have a nudge, slimmer shape, rounded edges or sharp edges, bla bla.
BTW I found the colour rendition towards better blues and greens can be improved by using the RR colour temperature setting. Also new Havoc has a similar setting.
